    The studio was so much better back in the days with the old King Kong and battle star and ET the ride. But overall universal studios Hollywood is still the best theme park today with Harry Potter opening in 2016

    Loved seeing Earthquake freshly after opening. I never knew there were dummies on the derailing train. I thought that the only dummy was the driver of the falling propane tanker. Battle of Galactica was epic, looks better than Fast and the Furious Supercharged which is what we have today. Jaws seems pretty different from today. Miss the mummy tunnel as well.

    • @AndrewPatrickRalston
      @AndrewPatrickRalston  Před 8 lety

      Damn. I didn't know it was demolished. Was the ice tunnel eventually Mummy themed? I remember when it was based on an episode of Bionic Man. I swear there was a Yeti at the end too. I'm sad it's gone.

    Just got back from Universal Studios and sad to say the tour is nothing like it used to be.. The King Kong is now 3D CGI, didn’t have the turning tunnel room didn’t have Doc getting shocked by lightning.. Don’t know what they’re thinking but it’s getting worse when it should be getting better..

    I am a huge Universal Studio fan. When I lived in CA. I'd go there several times. I watched your video because I like UVS but more because of the date. That was about the time I was there. I was so excited while watching your video of the Star Trek behind the scenes because I was of the Klingon in that exact Star Trek skit. I was not one of the first four but a second set of Klingon's. I am crushed that you stopped filming before both of my scenes filming and final film. Oh Well. I would have appeared acouple minutes after you stopped filming. l was talking to Kirk in Klingon telling him something and then hitting the red self destruct button on the wall and grueling at the camera. I can't remember what I said but I clearly remember the people I worked with and that was them. I bought the video from UVS but through the yrs it got lost. Anyways, GREAT video and thanks for the blast to the past.

      +pure Texas That's awful. I'm sorry. I know the feeling. I look for myself in old videos too. There are a few that another user uploaded from Disneyland and Universal in 1977. I know it's a long shot but I always hope to see my family walking around in the background. Hopefully more people will start digitizing their old vhs tapes and we'll have tons more footage to scan through. Glad you enjoyed it.
