What really helped me was showing us how you get ‘out of trouble’. Thank you for such a beautiful experience ❤
Thank you so much Julie! Glad you enjoyed it and that you find it helpful too. Watercolours have a reputation of being unforgiving but I think it is possible to find a way out of pretty much every watercolour "situation" if you act quickly 😁
@@AnastasiaMily 👍❤️
Fantastic demonstration, love the color combinations!🤗🤗
Thank you so much 😊 Glad you enjoyed it!
Great examples, thanks for teaching these combinations! 🤗J.K.
Thank you for watching! Glad you find this useful 😊
Beautiful work, and very helpful, as I often struggle with my skies. I also like how you paint your trees. You have released some stress that I get when I fuss over painting trees. Thank you!
So lovely to know that you find this helpful! And that those videos have taken away some of the stress from your painting process 😊 Have fun!
מהמם! ללמוד את החוויה בצבעי מים, ממש מרגש. ישר כח!
Thank you so much! Learning watercolour painting is exciting indeed, I totally agree
A visual feast for the eyes yet still such a soothing video. Thank you.

Just love that Aussie Red Gold!!
It is such a beautiful colour! I use it a lot in my landscapes.
@@AnastasiaMily it’s gorgeous! As I can afford them I get new colors and this one is definitely going on my list!
So enjoyable to learn this way. Thank you!

Thank you so much for such lovely feedback
I think this was the best video on painting skies I've seen, Anastasia. You demonstrate so many watercolour principles and techniques in such a compelling subject --skies! Thank you so much for such a beautiful and valuable tutorial!
Oh thank you so much! I am so happy you find this video useful in terms of watercolour techniques. I think skies are a wonderful subject for learning watercolour 😊 Have fun!
Sky and clouds, one of my favorite subjects to paint. These are gorgeous, especially in juxtaposition to one another. I also use a dry flat brush to pull the paint down to look like rain, but if I want it to be a lighter rain I use a dry fan brush.
Thank you so much! Sky and clouds are such fun to paint. Hake brushes are also great for pulling out the paint to create rain, for larger paintings though.
Watched this twice. So beautiful and helpful. Thanks!
So wonderful to know you enjoyed it 😊 Happy painting!
Merci pour ce partage vraiment très beau.❤

Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
I love it🎉😍
Thank you so much
I learned so much from this! Always struggling to do skies, I really need to invest some serious time to just doing that. Thank you so much for this! ♥🌸
So happy to know you've learned a lot from this video! Thank you for watching. Have fun with those skies!
Beautiful sky demos. I guess if you plan your colors and brush strokes and have an idea of the different moods of the sky it would be fairly easy to paint with a few happy accidents. You make it look easy and fun. Loved your video
Thank you so much. It is certainly easier to paint in watercolour when you have a plan. And the more we paint the easier it becomes too 😊 Glad you loved this video!
Stunning 🎉 and inspiring to see your art, thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you for watching and for your kind words!
Bellissimi grazie
Thank you for watching
C'est magique l'aquarelle,je préférerais en français cela serait plus simple pour moi, mais vos oeuvres sont très belles, merci de nous les presenter ines
Thank you for watching and for your kind words about my watercolours. Apologies for the videos not being in French
I'm so glad to have come across your channel! I love what you do. Do you have your board at an angle?
Thank you for being here! So glad you are enjoying my videos. I do have my board at a slight angle pretty much at all times - gravity is an essential "tool" in my watercolour practice :)
The paper has a beautiful grain/surface. It’s hard to lift though.
It is more the pigments in paints than the paper’s surface that make it hard to lift paint. Some pigments are more staining, and some can be lifted almost fully even when I use rough paper.
Very informative. Lots of useful tips here. For your sun, have you tried using a small coin wrapped in kitchen roll to ‘lift’ the paint?
Glad you find it informative! Thank you for watching. And thank you for the coin tip, will definitely try it.
This was such a perfect video! Do you ever use Sodalite Genuine in your skies? I think I first tried it after watching a tutorial you produced using it, but maybe you used it somewhere else in your painting? Thank you so much for this.
Thank you so much! I do paint with Sodalite quite a bit - I love using, both for the sky and for the land. It is one of my all time favourite pigments. Didn't use it here though as the scenes were quite small in size for Sodalite to flow freely and show off its granulation.
I struggle with sky and they mostly turn out an overworked, muddy mess so this was a great tutorial. Just one thing, the music was just a bit too overpowering for me. But a great video nonetheless. Thank you.
Glad you find this video useful! Thank you for watching.
Music is a very personal thing as we all react to it differently so I know it impossible to find a piece that would work for every viewer. Maybe you could mute it if you find it overpowering.
