Dang, this is good. Unlike other videos, you were able to emphasize the coach's adjustment on match ups to solve the team's defensive problems. So good!
Agree. Well deserved praise

Excellent analysis. Way better than the crap the big networks are offering, which is odd since they forner NBA player(s) on their shows.
Also of note: the Nugs were +7 in total rebounds & +5 offensive boards. The Nugs also had 5 fewer turnovers. This resulted in the Nuggets getting 10 more shot attempts. Those additional shot attempts erased all the things the Lakers were doing right. And late on the 4th quarter, the Nuggets are deadly.
I see the Lakers getting swept again and the Lakers will probably have to blow this team up and start over.
“How do the Nuggets….”
Jokic has been on a better 4 year run than anyone since 90s MJ. He’s a problem with no solution.
Idk what game you watched but Jokic was totally shut down by AD until Coach Malone put Gordon on AD.
@iannovak5223 We watched the game where Jokic had 27pts, 20 rebs, and 10ast, with his best teammate having a horrible game. The game is 48 mins, not 36, 24, or 12, but 48.
The game where he was 27, 20, and 10 which has only been done 8 times ever oh and half of the 8 times it has been done, we’re all by Jokic
Thank god ad shut down Jokic. If he wasn't on him imagine how many rebounds he would have gotten. Maybe 100.
@@iannovak5223 Yeah AD shut him down alright...27-20-10.smh🤣🤣🤣
One of the great things about Jokic is that he moves so slow when off ball that it's hard to draw a fake foul of him. Like you look absolutely ridiculous trying it and it makes it too hard for the refs to call it.
Great point. Jokic is like immune to foul trouble which just makes him even more S tier. Centers like Shaq and Moses would always be in foul trouble.
This is an awesome breakdown. Nobody was talking about the Gordon on AD adjustment
Bro I wish I could’ve shown people this video when they were wondering why AD didn’t shoot at all 4th quarter! EXCELLENT BREAKDOWN VID MAN! 🔥🔥
This video is really good because all I hear from other X's and O's youtubers is that the Lakers stopped running the Bron-AD pick n' roll, but they never addressed why.
This game excemplifies the coaching mismatch in this series. Malone is just tiers above Ham.
At a certain point the lesser team runs out of meaniful adjustments. Like rearranging chairs on the Titanic.
Lakers simply blew a 20 point lead Nuggets go repeat 🎉😊 nuggets coach is a Bett coach than Darvin Ham Lakers are going home 🏡😮😢 byebye have a nice vacation
@@je5406 perfect description
This a simple conclusion. If malone was tiers ahead he wouldve prevented the team from going down 20 points. In the end they won by just 2 points and Lebron missed an open 3 with 10 seconds to go.
I agree Malone is ahead of Ham, but lets not exagerate.
@@gerardvermaat6944 you can say as well that Malone erased 20 points in less than 20 min with the defensive adjustment in a playoff game that he won by 2
I’ve seen so many analysts criticize the Lakers for going away from the Lebron AD pick n roll. You actually explained how the Nuggets forced them to go away from it rather than chalk it to some bad coaching. Thank you!
That’s great and all. Still doesn’t explain why they went away from the D Lo & AD pick and roll.
@@yeyhall2303 Well, I think it does. Malone adjusted to it and it was no longer effective. Malone doesn’t get the credit he deserves. The nuggets clearly wouldn’t be as good as they are without Jokić, but a poorly coached team wouldn’t be as good with him.
@@richardradcliffe6047 D Lo ran the PnR one time during the 2nd half. Not sure that counts as something “Denver” did. But I’m not trying to argue, I’m legit trying to understand why Bron became the primary ball handler for the 2nd half of the game. When in the 1st half D Lo was doing well as the initiator.
@@yeyhall2303 This is kinda explained by the AG on AD adjustment. Dlo couldn't make easy pass or shot over jokic in the pnr and AG was covering AD quite well which kinda took him out of pnr. Also remember this adjustment put KCP or someone other than AG on lebron. And on paper that's a mismatch all day in favor of lebron. And lebron was cooking, in the 4th quarter anyway.
@@mambaASI appreciate the attempt to explain. Disagree about Bron in the 4th, losing a 10 point advantage is not “cooking” also he had 0 assists in the 4th. Bron played hero ball and Lakers lost. BBallBreakDown has an excellent video that actually points this out and awful coaching has a great video as well. Highly recommend. Side note if AG was guarding AD, D Lo would be getting the switch onto AG not Jokic… maybe you miss spoke tho… ???
Oops just realized it was Reggie Jackson who took that charge on LeBron, that simply didn’t compute in my mind
Nerd sesh fell off 😭
Don’t worry. As Nuggets fans our brain suppresses he’s on the team sometimes.
I get them to confused all the times cuz the hair
Appreciate the correction! Is it Murray who stripped AD @ 3:12, not Jokic?
I turned the video off after this. Get it together man.
The amount of times people confuse Reggie with KCP is hilarious🤣🤣🤣
They are the same person. KCP is version A, Reggie is version B. Seriously, when there is a little bit of distance, they are impossible to distinguish.
Good breakdown of what happened in the game , the switch on AD was key to Denver coming back
感謝你們打了一場好球,兩隊跟所有球員都值得尊敬。
拼贏拼輸都不要灰心,你們給我們一場精彩的NBA
congratulations to Anthony Davis for being there in the bench celebrating with the Nuggets after the winning shot.
🤣🤣🤣
Who can blame him? Nobody's celebrating him on the Lakers, even when they win...
One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen haha
"For you, the day you had 20pt lead against the Nuggets was the most important day of your life... but for me, it was just Tuesday"
I can honestly say that LA doesnt belong there at all. The free throw disparity carried them half the season.
I love my life. And Joker had a double double in the first quarter…
joker is slow lakers beat them twice
Great video! Very easy to understand!
Dads are always stronger than their kids.
And stronger than their granddads...
I used to live in Denver. When I first moved there I waa running 6 miles a day. It takes a month to acclimate to the altitude. If you notice the Laker's started to drag ass around the end of the 3rd qtr. That is when the altitude caught up to the Lakers.
the era of highlander teams started 🙂
Jamal & Jokic are the best duo in this era.
great video! nice to get to see some actual tactics
awesome video man keep up the good work
Thank you for this analysis CarSwagOnTheBeat
Great video and breakdown

Great analysis, you earned my sub on this one vid alone. Cheers!

Amazing video guys!
the best defender at lakers isnt AD. it’s adam silver created play in and made sure lakers would always have more free throws than anybody in the league. adam silver is defending le bum legacy
😂😂😂😂
The lakers have never needed the play in and the 2024 lakers aren’t even top 40 in FT differential since the merger…so keep trying buddy
@@jps0583they are? 😂
Great breakdown! This is unbiased, straight facts, unlike the one-sided coverage you get from national media outlets that have a narrative or story to tell.
People criticize MPJ for not passing enough but if he passed in the clutch time instead of hitting the 3, the series would be 1-1. And still, I think MPJ's game evolved a little bit. He is not as stubborn as before. I learned to live with MPJ's 3s. He is good.
The nuggets have that 3rd quarter that the Warriors used to have, just come out with adjustments required, they might just be the next NBA Dynasty, Jokic is just a next level player that makes everyone around him so much better.
Y’all have a great content generation framework-“brainstorming sessions”-and show real discipline in logic and analysis. Very impressive for your age(s). Be sure to leverage this year’s playoffs and your increasing views/engagement for cross-work/promotions, interviews, marketing, etc. Reach out to folks and send emails-have the gumption; you’ll be surprised.
Coach Malone is the unsung hero in this game that no one is talking about.
We might need another live reaction because these games have been crazy
Good job on the video.
No one is beating the Nuggets this year.
Great video!! Just an observation that Minute 6:04 the charge was Reggie Jackson not KCP
Nice!!!! NUGGETS NATION LETS GO!!!!
How you up 20 third quarter amd let that lead go and lose...im a nuggets fan...and you let us come back...
It's a combination of things. Nuggets played exceptionally well in 4th. Murray finally started hitting after going 3-16, Jokić took over inside in 4th and the defense and offense (8 of 9 in crunch time) were exceptional.
Sure, AD got his fourth foul and was gassed and useless in 4th and the Lakers went back to their regular shooting and not the insane 60% they were shooting in 1st half. They made errors, bad passes, shots. But the Nuggets clinically efficient play in the last 18mins was about their mental strength and style of play. Jokić & Murray came back from two consecutive series they were behind 3-1 when they started getting in playoffs. They've done this together enough times now in big games and playoffs.
@@vlada "Nuggets played exceptionally well in 4th."
Wrong. Nuggets played and shot like SHIT in the first two quarters. :) The 3rd and the 4th: business as usual.
Overall, it was a very bad game from them, especially from beyond.
It was enough against the Lakers, of course. Lebron taking that shot, with 16(!) seconds left on the shot clock, sealed the deal.
Huge rookie mistake.
(according to him, it's the refs' fault, of course 😀)
@6:06 that wasn’t KCP who took the charge. It was Reggie Jackson
6s difference between the shot clock and game clock. He shot at 11s. Could have killed the time more with his high IQ. A better move was to drive to the basket for 2pts or get fouled. Time wouldve ran out for the nuggets.
3:03 i need D Lo's dealer
Having your heart and soul snatched. Damn, Lakers are done.
AD didn't set a moving screen, Aaron Gordon pushes him into KCP
💙🤍💛💥💫 Gordon, you rocked !! ✨️⚒️✨️
I didnt watch the game, but im curious about Peyton Watson's minutes and whether he could be the key to stopping LeBron if KCP were to be figured out on defense.
10-0 baby!
They the Lakers daddies.
The Nuggets have the best player in the world in Jokic while the Lakers have a generational choker in LeBum..simple as that.
no one really talks about it but MPJ is better than he's been in previous years, yes he's a known sniper but his team defense, rebounding and effort have been better than it ever has been
GO NUGGETS
2:25 How is that NOT a lob pass to RUI and then a ALLEY OOP to AD when GORDON HELPS????
Lakers start off good in the first quarter and 2nd quarter usually in the 3rd and 4th depending on the team they can hold them off. but Denver Nuggets Arent a team that you wanna sleep on. you have to consistently put pressure on them right up till the last mins in the 4th Quarter
The nuggets have been making these comebacks all year against teams
Ham didn't know how to coubter that 2nd half adjustments of the Nuggets. That's how the type of coach he is😅
Ham did not know how to make counter adjustment after Malone adjust his defense to defend the the pick and roll by having Gordon guarding AD. Playoff Basketball is about adjustment and re-adjustment. Ham is terrrible at it
6:03 that is Reggie Jackson not kcp hahahah
Either way the supposed "goat" can't score on guys a head shorter than him
It's not only the Nuggets, lots of teams do that to the Lakers.
The other teams don't have a Jokic tho.
So much hyperbole in this video. The great mismatch attacker ever. The best playoff start of his career. The best offensive player in the word, the best defensive player in the. One of the greatest difficult shot makers we've ever seen.
best defender alive is now Wemby, not AD.
That being said, Jokic put up 33.5 pts, 10.3 rebounds and 8 assists vs Wemby.
Jokic is cold blooded
He struggles to create shots, isn't effective at posting up smaller defenders, struggles to make wide-open shots, and has difficulty passing the ball to AD in the post.
🎉
That's when u can appreciate how unstoppable Kobe's iso was. Kobe would have cooked/scored easily against KCP in iso. LeBron is literally being guarded by small guys or guards. Kobe's quickness, footwork, etc would have scored against those guys... easily!
Kobe would brick a ton of shots first then proceeds to ball hog the ball and end up being outscored by a team who actually pass the ball around. Lol
@@temtech9730 Sure but can give u W. Kobe would have cooked those guards on a 1-on-1 position. The reason why Kobe misses a lot bcoz of tough shots after tough shots... double to tripple team. Yes he hardly pass. It was not his game. His style is to continue to attack regardless. To give the defensive that pressure. His iso game is still 2nd to MJ. Both wth similar styles & even if fg percentage wasn't the best they both delivered W. Winning > Stats
Answer to the title (COACHING)
Just saying if we put in Kobe and Pau for LBJ and AD, Ya'll know it would've changed the outcome.
I'm thumbs up 1,000
6:17 Lebron didn't complain to the refs for not calling a travel on him just saying
i know this is lebrons 47th year but theres really no excuses for losing with the supporting cast he has right now
You have to be joking… You clearly don’t understand how great the nuggets are.
You definitely overhyping up a supporting cast that falls apart when he goes to the bench. Last night was on him for not making the shot but he was money the whole 4th.
If the supporting cast gets any better then LeBron become part of the supporting cast. They are already kind of awsome.
You’re kidding right? You don’t know ball
@@user-po6pn4ei8u Are you? AD is putting in work right now.
Jokic didn't play a great first half? He had a double double in the 1st qrt.
Also Nuggets out rebound on offense and defense. 2nd, and 3rd shot opportunities kill the Lake show.
When Denver adjusts, why run the same shit? Why not run plays that forces Denver to defend differently? Just a thought.
Oh look another basket ball coach in the comments 😂
Its funny bc they think they’re at the cusp while in reality denver is just that one annoying kid who always goes ‘what you said but +1’
It was Reggie Jackson who took the charge on LeBron actually
The real answer is because the Lakers don’t have a true big. Lakers won the chip when they played big. Now that they’re mostly small ball, they don’t have the muscle to block of fthe paint from Jokic. They should have kept Howard or McGee
I agree, or replaced them. Howard gave Jokic problems in the bubble and slowed him down, that's why I'm picking the T'wolves in the next round to beat the Nuggets, they have the same formula with Gobert and Towns, that the Lakers had in the bubble against the Nuggets.
Tragic 😅😅😅😅😅😢
No active player has a better playoff averages in these categories simultaneously than Jokic:
(anything) and Reb -- Jokic has the best RPG.
PPG and TS -- the higher-volume shooters have worse efficiency.
PPG and 3P%
3P% and AST
Only Luka has better PPG and APG than Jokic. -- Luka is exceptionally good but his efficiency numbers are weak because of constant tough shot attempts.
By the way, Jokic isn't known to be a 3p shooter or a high-volume shooter by any means. And here we are. Also among all past and active players, Jokic has the best career PER in both regular and post season. He is actively redefining what "efficient" means in basketball.
Nerrrrrrrrrrrrds!
Makes me think the big winners gonna be the LA fentanyl dealers
The T'wolves will put the Nuggets out in the next round.
Maybe its because the Lakers are a play-in team.... Lets see how it goes when its more even...
Well the fans and team didn’t think that mattered when they talked all that crap
@@KAye633 okay, Denver seems to be the ones acting like this is special and trying to make this some sort of rivalry 🤣. The Lakers are happy that Denver got 1 championship to be proud of. The sun shines on a dog's a$$ eventually.
Now everybody shoots over james
You can always count on lebron to gas out in thè fourth
I hear there are tickets avaliable for game 3 in LA.
May I suggest to Laker fans that they wear paper bags over their heads with openings for their eyes so they can avoid being embarrassed.
Its hard to play a whole game when you're old af
older people get tired faster
LeBron is a whiner and so is his coach!
the nuggets are not just better, but a terrible match up. it’s official that lakers need to make so moves over the summer.
The 1st move should be, Trade LeBron
All Labron James cares about is stats 😮 not a championship he is almost 40 years old and tired 😴
Because AD is scared.
Why everyone think lebron is all that and all he is good at is free throws. He cant win without it.
6:55 Jokic is just an artist
To answer the question refs (according to leflop)
Can we actually be honest here? Lebron is old and way past his prime. He cant play a full game anymore and slows down by the 4th quarter. The rest of the Lakers are not "great" and crumbles without him. The Nuggest are a young team, can play better as the game goes on and are stacked with good to great players.
It shows every single time they play against each other.
How do lebron’s team keep losing? Because of lebron
At this point I’m leaving the door open for Jokic to surpass lebron. If he wins another ring and fMVP we can at least start seriously discussing it.
Bro thinks jokic is the goat already
@@brandenspor1650 lebron ain’t the goat. Jokic surpassing lebron would put him firmly in the top 10 though.
For sure, Jokic is already better than Lebronze Balcovic on his best day
Nah. Only if he wins like 4 in a row... But that's impossible.
@@VeteranVandal4 rings? They will stay favorites for the next 2 years. Easy rings baby
Easily, that's how. The Lakers are a bad team. They're lazy, poor on defense, and have a really weak bench. Without referees rigging the bubble, the "championship Lakers" would have lost to Portland in the opening round... Never forget that
The refs can only help le flop so much when he won't play defense, and only wants to dunk on little guys. It's somebody elses fault though. Just ask him.
don’t forget the refs and the free throws
Lebron bs that game towards the end.. we only seeing the multiple 3pt shots and steal he made on murray for a dunk etc. In all these clips we're he blew a layup or turnover, he was crowded.. other lakers were opened. The nuggets basically crowded the paint.
Dlo, reaves and gabe was opened so many times. Lebronhad no vision in that 4th qtr. Please note lebron is slowly becoming my goat..and I'm a huge kobe and mj fan..just his lgreatness over longevity to me he's becoming my goat. But he's 39yrs old and he's going to get gassed..he needs to keep moving the ball.. look at the nuggets, they all corralled him in that 4th..pass the ball lebron.
The Laker adjustment was obvious. Put Lebron in the post. He's got 4 inches and 50 lbs on KCP. Starting the offense w/ Lebron outside the 3 point line made no sense. Just no other way to say it. Dumb basketball.
