Wonderful finds. Estate sales are like a big treasure hunt.
This was such a fun haul! If we enjoyed taking a look inside her scrapbook imagine how much fun our super colorful junk journals will be for future generations to see!! 😂 Those stork playing cards would be precious in baby journals!!!! The cream macrame trim is super cute! Would be cute on beach journals. And all that hand lace/ tatting!! 😍🤍

I love those sheets! Back in the 60s, 70s, 80s pillow cases only came in sets of two no matter what size the sheets were. It didn't strike me as odd until I went to college in 1975 and I needed my own twin sheets. Then I always had a spare pillow case floating around in my sock drawer. The S&H stamps were worth 1 each or in the other book you can see the value on the larger stamps. I used to wear that type fluffy yarn in my hair in the 60s. We called them Doodles-before it was a dog breed. Some great finds! Oh, my gosh, The Wonder Years. That's my generation! So many memories!
Great estate sale and gift haul! I actually got a kick out of hearing your washing machine gurgling and draining in the background. Real life! And I loved The Wonder Years as a kid. So great your grown kids are enjoying it now, too.

I have noticed that floral sheets are making a comeback. I keep seeing ads for sheets that look like vintage designs. Maybe because the 80s styles are popular again. I hope that the family had a chance to look through that scrapbook. When my mother passed, I found some of her things and I so wish I had seen them while she was alive so I could ask her about the items in it. Nice treasure from your aunt, as well! And Congratulations on your daughter's graduation!

I think my favorite item was that scarf. The colors were stunning. But the marbleized paper that your aunt gave you was very cool too. The list of stuff I like was long. I just liked it all.

The photograph album, I can't believe they did not want to keep it. Growing up watching American high school films (Pretty in Pink, Back to the Future, Grease) to me it is an amazing piece of Americana and I wouldn't be able to take it apart.
The sheets are amazing but really love everything you got.
I've had those yellow sheets! They're 1990s Ralph Lauren, if I remember correctly. I loved those!!
I had those pale yellow floral sheets in the mid 80’s. I used them as wallpaper and stapled them to my apartment walls.

Wow Meg you found a treasure trove. I am over the hill about the yellow tatting. Such a lost art. I understand how you feel. I feel the same at estate sales but i remind myself that we honor those finds that are unwanted. TFS ❤

I just spent my evening cutting out carefully everything salvageable from the scrapbook and placing them in the boxes for each in my craft area. Can't wait to find places to use them. I couldn't believe the yellow tatting either. Thanks for watching!
@@ChasingRetro l love to use the 1800's photo albums. I usually find them either empty or in bad shape which is a score for me. I use every bit of the covers to make my own chipboard chips. Like on my simplicity journals I thread the fabric through a chip that reads "salvaged " because every bit of my journals are salvaged. 😃

I am not on any social media. I do sell at a cute little boutique in my small town. They are $27 so they sell fast. Big difference in price when you don't have FB or an online presence. I love.your videos. TFS and inspiring ❤
Me again. I commented to soon. The additional tatting..yum. but you aunt's doodles....definitely my cup of tea and BEAUTIFUL art. Definitely talented. Don't you love gifts from the heart from others who "get you"? Currently i am working on simplicity pattern journals from the live sale from Angela the traveling crafter. I picked up 30. I am selling them faster than i can make them. TFS...this was suoer fun. Drooling over here. Also...don't you just love when hubby says great prices, you better go back and more!!! ❤❤❤
I do love that! Love an excuse to go spend some more on more treasures :) And yes, I love how much my aunt gets me (and we are so much alike) -- even the little snippets in that expandable file that I didn't show look like things I would have cut out and saved. :)

So many fun things! I have never been to an estate sale, and I feel like they don’t have them in Denver like they do where you are, but I’m going to look for some!
