- Nanjing is a city full of history that is easily reached from Shanghai via high-speed train. The Nanjing subway is recent but already quite extensive. Not only are all major tourist attractions served by the subway but you also get to every train station as well as the airport.

I'm a Nanjing citizen and I work in Nanjing Metro Company. I watched the video carefully, and I think it is fairly useful and accurate.
Still I need to remind visitors that never get confused with two railway stations. They are in two directions and far away.
Also, there are some trains does not reach the final destination, but terminate services at one specific station. e.g.: A south-direction line 3 train may terminate service at SHENGTAIXILU, but not MOZHOUDONGLU. It is peak hour schedule. So if you found the destination different from map, don't worry, just wait for next train.

I remember the old days that metro line one is not replaced by metro line ten
I was just in Nanjing two weeks ago and used the subway system extensively. This video is accurate and thorough. Yes, bills can be used to buy a token, but the largest bill accepted is 10 yuan. Knowing what exit to take requires some research of destination. At one station I took Exit 24. There can be a lot of them!

It should be Xinjiekou Station（新街口站）, it is the largest metro station in Asia.

Nanjing metro is either underground or elevated. There's also ground level light rail, quite distinct from the metro experience. Reminiscent of the Orange / Green lines of San Diego.

No. You buy from the ticket counter. You are correct about your second question.
