How often do you honestly get to punch a God? Know who I wish I could punch too? Flemeth. The comedy would be fucking gold. on par with hitting that news reporter in ME.
It shows the character of that god that he doesn't use his powers or punch back. He is wiser and better than simpletons. Basically you just probed humans are just monkeys that throw sticks and stones. Those sticks and stones may be more powerful iron and explosive powers... but still monkeys.
FoxBatinaHat *spoilers* If he wanted to try and fight back he'd be killed he wasn't even strong enough to use the orb corypheus used and itso facto you beat him while he uses the orb.
Justin McPeters The orb was an extremely powerful artifact and it would take a massive mount of strength to unlock it, hence Corypheus. That doesn't mean Solas didn't have the power to destroy your Inquisitor if he wanted to.
Yes it does if corypheus had the power to unlock but you beat him what chance does solus have . The main reason you don't fight corypheus earlier is the dragon and the no death thing.
Just take him with you to the temple in the Oasis and after unlocking the doors, make him run over the lightning, fire, and ice glyphs. That was fun to watch.
It's really interesting seeing this side of Solas. My first play through was as a female elf, and though he is slightly disrespectful to the Dalish at times, he is far more polite and civilised than he is when interacting with a human Inquisitor. Also, if you romance, you really do get to see the gentler, more vulnerable side of Solas - opposed to the arrogant apostate mage you would otherwise encounter.
I think this Human character probably has a low approval rating with Solas. When I've played through as Human he's always been kind/guiding to me as I've had high approval.
@@NerdRoomProductions Elf characters, by default, start with some positive approval from Solas. There are several conversations that you can have right away, in Haven, as an Elf but not until towards the end as a non-elf.
Is that the result of approval or just because it’s a less intimate topic if another elf is discussing it with him vs a non-elf? Honest question, I legitimately don’t know.
Oh also you can punch Dorian. Just watched that. Also you can try to kill Cole. I wonder what else you can do with other characters. Must find out. O-O
***** she wasn't even talking to you, I was interested in what she had to say and she was suggesting things to me. You can leave this conversation now.
Mythal chose Flemmeth to carry her soul. Flemmeth, the only woman who dresses her hair as horns. I'm sorry but, that makes me wonder about Mythal's character to say the least.
peoplemcnuggetz To be fair that was after she died. If that happens to you I think you deserve to go through some questionable phases. Hell after Commander Shepard died he started dating Quarians!
Considering the fact that Dorian gets laid out glat on his bsck when you punch him, what the nine levels of hell is this elf MADE of? He barely takes a step back, and snaps back up up glare at you almost immediately. I do not want to fuck with Solas. Aaaaaaaand we're gonna HAVE to in DA4. Which is going to be LOVELY.
That's what I was thinking when I watched this for the first time. I don't think I could be mean enough to get this in game, but I'm glad I watched it because it just says it all.
Hehe... It's so hilarious to watch Solas get punched in the face! Drunk Cassandra is also too funny! I really like Solas even if he's a bit arrogant, sometimes pessimistic, and a bit high-and-mighty about things - which makes sense if you get to the end. I also like him even though he hates tea! He mostly seems to enjoy challenging you on your beliefs and the beliefs of your companions. He likes to have civil discussions with you even if you disagree as long as you are polite about it. Though he was being a total a-hole in this video. I assume you only get this scene if you don't get along well with him because my husband never got this.
***** Yeah seems like a hard thing to do. I applaud the people who went through this game being a complete a-hole just to show us these scenes. I'm certain it was a tough thing to do for them. I don't think I could do it but it's fun to watch at least once.

the fucker (after i believed in him and suffered his know it all attitude and his egg head), played my inquisitor like a pawn in the end to save his elves that once he destroyed. I really enjoyed that punch
darthportus He's definitely not against wardens in general, if you take Blackwall around with Solas in the party he'll say he respects what they do. I think he just gets pissed if you don't exile them because a lot of them *willingly* acted stupidly out of fear.
***** That would make him a hypocrite. It was the same thing with the mages, they signed a deal with tevinter because they feared to be slaughtered by the templars, and he fully supports you for giving them freedom and making them allies. Or how about poison everyone but your most trusted companions just before the big fight so no one could betray you after!. But EA would never let that happen "CuZ DLC"
Not because of dlc, but because they had a vision of how things would unfold, which would lead to da4, altho I think at first they wanted to put it all in one game actually. Regardless, i think the idea that the inquisitor could just up and kill Solas like that is laughable. Even without the power of a "god", he is still a very powerful mage and likely the most knowledgeable one in all of thedas. Maybe you could fight for the idea that you could at least have the option to "attempt" to kill him though. A very low moment for the inquisitor that would be... I don't think any of your most trusted companions would be okay with you killing so many "untrustworthy" people... At that point they would probably just take their chances against corypheus, and ultimately lose the world. But, hey, true rpg amirite?
I love Solas to bits and pieces despite his faults. Still, it's fascinating seeing the angry side of his usual stoicism and I did laugh at that punch. I'll never understand how people can hate him, though. He makes a hell of a lot of good points. And if you do, you can at least appreciate what a great character he is? I mean, I hate Sera and want to punch her but she's still pretty well thought out and interesting.
My first character almost got this point. Every time I interacted with him, I spotted some peculiar dialogue choices that hinted at unpleasantness. I left it alone, but damn, now I know what would've happened.
No, he does that to elves, too. He doesn't consider the Dalish to be 'his people', considering a bunch of them apparently think he's either crazy, or stupid and don't want to learn from his historical/fade expertise.
Dumbledoresarmy13 well no matter what he's a hormonal brat who needs a good spanking. i was so satisfied when i punched him on my human inquisitor. like *pow* haha yea thats what you get
Angering your companions is fun, LOL. Anyone do this with Aveline in DAII? Instead of punching her, she punches Hawke. It's funny having a mage Hawke get punched by Lady Man-Hands for being a huge jerk, then laughing it off like it didn't hurt.
Seriously? Solas is one of the few redeeming - or at least intelligent - companions available. He's awesome! Makes up for much of the dumbfuckery that is the rest of our inquisitor's retinue.

Solas hated me no matter what I did. Couldn't get the guy to be on my side, couldn't trigger his companion quest. I guess I lost points simply for being a human and not a mage. *eyeroll*
Solas doesn't 'hate you' just because you're a human *eye-roll*. I know plenty of people who played as humans and still became friends with him ;). You must have done something he really didn't like.

That sounds...really great actually. Yep, ima do it.
One of the dialogue options has Levellan getting pissed off and hits him.
