My kayak: oldtowncanoe.johnsonoutdoors....
Location: Michigan
Kayak: Old Town Topwater Angler 106
Camera: GoPro Hero 7 Black - Sport
I have a sportsman 106 and this is the only detailed video I’ve found with how the c-tug sits on our kayaks. I am purchasing one for mine. Thank you.
You just sold me on it brother, fixen to hit the store now to buy one. Nice job! 👍🏻
Honestly best piece of kit for the Kayak. No more carrying and Well worth the money 🙏❤️
I love mine so far!😁
Great review! ..Cheers
I have it and for my old town sportsman 106 it sucks. It only fits on the back 1/4 of the hull so it leave you having to lift most of the weight and with all my gear that is close to 190 lbs.
I bought a second Railblaza cart and used the Double Up kit to connect them. Makes moving my Wilderness Systems Thrasher 155 to the launch ramp a breeze. Also use it with my inflatable Kaboat. Best kayak cart on the market period.
Remember critics- this is a Kayak cart, not canoe! Honestly it’s best with a narrow boat. Good video. Hope some of the comments are more kind than some were on my review of it. Cheers!
Took me awhile to buy it . I bought some cheaper models first and was not happy with them .
I finally broke down and bought this about 4 years ago . I am really impressed I have used it a lot in some pretty rough areas , I have even went over some logs with it .
I also moved a porch for a rv with it . Porch was about 600 lbs . I moved it by myself with this cart about 400 yards .
I use this cart on a lure and moken kayak .
Would you mind measuring the diameter of the center hole (the one where the stand is mounted). This could help to build your version of the "double-up bar" or a handle.
Had a ctug for my ride 135 and it constantly twisted and turned on rough ground
I have this c tug cart on it's way to me thing is only now have i realised the hull of my sea kayak is a weird w sort of shape will this cart still work for me? my guess is no?
Liked your video.
Has anyone used the C Tug cart with an original Malibu Kayak X Factor? If so, how did it work? Thanks.
There's a lot of confusion about how to setup the straps. The company's old videos show something different than the new ones. The straps should end at each pad, as opposed to one big loop. Here's a link to the 2021 version. czcams.com/video/SRSYC4OF78g/video.html
Yeah, running the strap this way didn’t look right. It takes all of the “grip” out of the pads. I quickly found that same video by the manufacturer, and it makes a lot more sense.
I just bought one and was wondering if I did it wrong!
12-13 foots crazy... my kayak is a 16 foot kayak lol but when I kayak camp I can haul everyone's tuff and then some
90+ degrees haha. Got to be from up north!
I bought this hoping it would work out good for my Old Town Auto Pilot. IMO It is a POS. My kickstand broke twice and I was done with it. If you have a bigger kayak, save yourself the time and get a Wilderness systems heavy-duty cart.
This c tug kills me a lot of times. It didn't work very well for my old tow AutoPilot 136
Will this cart handle tree roots?
Tree roots? It's meant to very kayaks.
@@WhiskeyWood_Studio yes I know, but is it able to go over the tree roots easily? I have a trail that has a lot of tree roots that lead to the lake that I want to kayak
I'd like to recommend the new Blue Dot Outfitters heavy duty kayak cart. Just launched it and think it's better than this one but of course I'm biased.
Have had mine for 6 months (used 3-4 times a week), awful, if Ikea made yak cartls this would be it. The auto dissemble is quite unique. Going to Harbor Freight and build one that works.
It sucks! Always slips off especially on uneven surface and on heavily loaded kayaks!
This c tug sucks for my old town ap 136
The other cart isn’t a standard cart, it’s a compact cart intended for small, low payload applications. You’re comparing the C-Tug with a 260 lb capacity to a compact cart with a 100 lb capacity. Also, when you kicked it and said it did not budge, the strap obviously loosened, so the cart did move. The constant hot and sweaty commentary probably wasn’t necessary and distracted from the purpose of the video. Just my 2 cents.
Have a Rönnest. Doest not work at all. Really a fiasko
Don’t buy this cart if you have an Old Town.
I have one can’t stand the fucking thing dose not work on uneven ground fine if you don’t go out the garage try 👎
Weird camera work in this video
One of the few 2 minute demonstrations that take over 13 minutes way too long and boring
Could not agree more. I turned off in the end.
Very good video. Just picked up my C Tub and you simplified the straps. I too use my utility trailer. I have a tandum Cresent Crew sit on top(heavy) and a small Heritage Feather Lite sit in kayak. Again great job on the video. Tks.
$129 from Railblaza website as of 9/9/22. Got it in 5 days.
