- Happy 2022. I went for my first 2022 ride and recorded this short video about the current state of my favorite accessories for my Riese & Müller Homage GT rohloff e-14 HS.

Can you lose weight and get fit while riding an e-bike? That is what this video and upcoming videos will be all about. I weighed 262.2 pounds before I went on my first R&M Homage 22-mile ride on November 24, 2021.

Awesome bike! And it seems you put it to good use. I especially like the MIK compatible milk crate. Looks good and seems very practical for day to day errands.

Nice vid and bike. What kind of tires did you get with your Homage, the standard road or the Schwalbe "SUV" tires? I ride maybe 90 percent on paved roads or bike trails, 10 percent on gravel or packed dirt.

Good sir i noticed you have the comfort steering wheel for a more upright position, im looking to make the same choice but im concerned it might affect my braking in emergency stops did you notice any affect or is that a none issue. Love your vid but maybe a follow up on wy these accessories are neccesary ty
The Homage is extemely comfortable to ride with GREAT breaking. This is a class 3 pedal assist ebike so it has to have great breaking.
How did you mount the Abus alarm lock onto the front body of the Battery section?
There is a thread there that the bike shop mounted the Abus Alarm Lock onto the Homage.

those additional lights would not be allowed on German roads...
neither the front- nor the back lights
I’m glad that I’m able to see the road ahead of me and be seen by motorist too while using these lights. The roads here I’m assuming are not as nice and well maintained as they are in Germany. Happy 2022. Stay safe while riding.

That milk crate? It's like attaching a trailer to a Ferrari. It just doesn't go together. Hope I didn't offend you but that's a very very expensive bicycle.
No offense. My R&M Homage HS with Rohloff is more like an SUV; my car replacement where I go shopping and use the milk crate to put things. I only use the milk crate if I’m going to be transporting several items. I also have a Superdelite Mountain that is like a off road motor bike.

WARNING about R&M Homage dual battery Bicycles and Bosch systems, look this after 5 months of use, first 2months I have to change the motor make noise now I have to change the Motor Bosch again make noise again, loose the eShifth very often,loose air in the back suspension shock,covers from the battery fall down on the street when I ride,Water get inside the switch (made in China) BRC351,tension spring get very rust after I ride on the rain,if I use 50psi on the tires it touch the screws in the front and back under the fenders, BIG MISTAKE to pay Cad$17000 for this shi... brand, this people here are pay by R&M to make that kind of comments about the brand me I am a REAL consumer with the REAL problems...

Main concern: you may think that you have two locks, but you don't really have even one. Even in Lexington/Arlington, the links of an Arbus Bordo can be popped in seconds.
