I will explain this to you from the eyes of the companies, this is not misogyny, this is about money. Commonly when talking about a pregnancy, companies are obliged to allow you some time off for the pregnancy. This time implies pay without work, they lose money, but why doesn't this apply to men? Easy, at a legal level it cannot be proven that the absence of the father is negative for the baby, very few countries consider absences due to pregnancy for the father to be real (and even if they do, they pretend that it doesn't exist). In that sense, they can force the man to work, not pay for absences and pressure you that your partner can take care of it herself. Absences for maternity, marriage and natural medical issues (such as menstrual periods) are more common in women, no company would want that.
I'm 65, university educated and can remember this sort of conversation still taking place in the 1980s. Yes by that time we had some protection in law about this but the "unwritten" rules persisted even then.
As much as it sucks, if it happens today, they will scramble to make a case too support the standard that pretty much all employee contracts have that denotes employment is "at will", meaning we're all expendable and replaceable, and she would still have a very tall uphill climb.

Either fire both or fire none. No double standards please!!! Having children outside marriage is a subjective thing. In some cultures, it is sin while in others it is normal.
Idk if is this in modern time or not, but if it is... She can sue his ass, for intempestive firing (idk how to call it in English so here are in Spanish "Despido intempestivo") pregnant women are protected by the law and they can get an enormous amount of money with the compensation for injust firing, the 25% of the salary of every year worked in the company or smt like that. So the guy is cooked
What would they do if she hadn't consented? Would they still fire her? Just for being pregnant? Even though they knew she was raped? The point I'm making here is that the only difference between this situation and a non-consensual situation, such as rape, is the consent. Just because she said yes, that means she should be fired for getting pregnant? Yes, I understand it was outside of marriage, but that should not be a reason to fire her, especially since she's pregnant and needs the money to take care of herself and a baby. She may have gotten knocked up, but the man did the duty, and she is simply carrying the resultant baby. There was no grounds to fire her unless her job was immediately dangerous to her (being pregnant) or the baby, like working with a chemical that can cause birth defects or complications. The man is responsible for getting her pregnant because you can't get pregnant without a man. Therefore (if the man was alive), he would have to be fired too.
And yet this very thing still happens. (2021 Ramsey Solutions, amongst several others). Plus all the other bull coming from certain jurisdictions. So you're quite wrong. It's still very necessary since people like you keep dismantling what progress has been made. All while claiming it was "woke nonsense".

That's here in my country. The Philippines
Condition, a state of being, the form something takes. She's using very clinical language in general, she's just a very formal person. But she's not using the word condition with any negative connotations, she's actively defending her right to remain pregnant and still financially support herself and her kid.
What about the cause of her pregnancy being rape? Is it her shame then? No, so why didn't they bother to ask? Was it better to murder the baby? At that time in history, no, but also yes. Pregnant women for any reason weren't allowed to work outside the home. Home business, sure. It was considered a bad thing to be seen as pregnant at all in some past ages. You were not to be seen in public. Mens passions might be enflamed to want sex. I lived in such an age as a child. Pregnant women, already pregnant were the most attractive to all men. They can have sex with them withou consequences.

SPOILER ALERT: She dates her lab partner and they lived together unmarried. The pregnancy was unplanned but she becomes a great mother to her daughter. Also her boyfriend (the lab partner) dies before she finds out she’s pregnant.
It's so pathetic yet realistic that the moment these men get outplayed and told as it is, their reasoning circles back to, "You're the one who got knocked up." Their professionalism is just a façade and they have no grounds or expertise to even be in the position they're in, yet they are because their little boy's club needs more members.

What is the name of movie or tv show? I hate it when clips are posted without the. Name
Lessons In Chemistry - 2023
I'd like to be as tough as she is to have the courage and the knowledge in a situation like that. Unfortunately I've been raised differently.
I bet the guy is anti abortion too
As much as it sucks, if it happens today, they will scramble to make a case too support the standard that pretty much all employee contracts have that denotes employment is "at will", meaning we're all expendable and replaceable, and she would still have a very tall uphill climb.
Who got her pregnant? Was it her late boyfriend evans or someone else?
Yes, it was him.
I love her the way she summed up with the education of her employer in pregnancy lessons learned. Babies are born for decays years ago and even in stone age naturally delivered in the nature habitat.😮❤❤❤
SO UNFAIR

Idk if is this in modern time or not, but if it is... She can sue his ass, for intempestive firing (idk how to call it in English so here are in Spanish "Despido intempestivo") pregnant women are protected by the law and they can get an enormous amount of money with the compensation for injust firing, the 25% of the salary of every year worked in the company or smt like that.
So the guy is cooked
What is the name of this movie?
Lessons in Chemistry, it's a miniseries on Apple TV+
This is what feminism is supposed to be about. Not that 3rd wave bullcrap ypu have now.
That's facts 💯
What do you expect.. we all have it so good we don’t even know it.
You don't understand much about the World I see
Erm... Actually... We're in the 4th 😬😬

This was then Im so glad times are different now... I remember back thenmy mother told me that women will be removed If she wasn't married... Because it was deemed a disgrace... Now women Especially is she works under the government sector or public sector..she can file a maternity leave.. still being payed btw .. single moms also has benefits to they can be able to sustain their child... That's here in my country. The Philippines
Calling pregnancy a condition like you don’t get to choose to have it as wild
Context... condition doesn't have one definition
Condition, a state of being, the form something takes. She's using very clinical language in general, she's just a very formal person. But she's not using the word condition with any negative connotations, she's actively defending her right to remain pregnant and still financially support herself and her kid.
"Calvin would be so ashamed of you right now."
"What the flying *fuck* makes you think you knew him better than I did?"

Developed Country😂😂
The rule of silence for remote viewing psychics is a rule because the whole government psychic thing contractor or otherwise is a violation of privacy.
The only true woman
If two coworkers make a baby, and it’s an “unwritten rule” that you can’t have kids. At least have the courtesy to fire them both.
The man wouldnt leave the job
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're just leading themselves into a big fat juicy lawsuit there.
I hate the term with child
When he said that I thought she was dating a minor 😭
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What show is this?
How did she get pregnant? By choice? By rape?? How?
Mt beast
SPOILER ALERT:
She dates her lab partner and they lived together unmarried. The pregnancy was unplanned but she becomes a great mother to her daughter. Also her boyfriend (the lab partner) dies before she finds out she’s pregnant.
It's so pathetic yet realistic that the moment these men get outplayed and told as it is, their reasoning circles back to, "You're the one who got knocked up."
Their professionalism is just a façade and they have no grounds or expertise to even be in the position they're in, yet they are because their little boy's club needs more members.
Very Republican...this is how they'd like to run their new confederacy.
As a republican, respectfully shut up until you get a education because I can tell you, no republican thinks like that.

My mother was a teacher, and was fired because she got married. The school asked her to stay on till they could find a replacement. Nope.
