Shame on those who really expected them to sound the same as they did in the 80's. These men are older and not in the same shape. The music is the same and im happy to still see them alive and well so i can sing along with them.

He's been smoking for decades now, and smoking can permanently alter your voice, not to mention hes older now (almost 50). Sadly even if he lost weight and got healthy, he'll never sound the same again.

I feel bad for Bobby. He was one of the best out there, He has been through a lot in the last several years.
I think it's some animosity between Ralph and the other guys because of the scene in the movie where Ralph turned down a solo deal. BBD was on the Breakfast Club and they said that they had no idea it happened. They didn't seem to pleased about it
I love Bobby Brown as a true Bobby Brown fan I just feel like he's been through a lot and I'm very happy to see him you know doing well however I just feel like there's so much money to be made if he at least side back got in the gym got some vocal training I don't expect him to be the Bobby Brown of 88 I just want him to be able to hold a proper note on stage and when it's time to do a dance break for him to execute the dance break that's all I expect from him as a Bobby Brown fan and I feel like since he has his biopic coming out my question is where is his manager you know I feel like he has a huge biopic coming out in September he should be prepping for a huge Nationwide tour this time getting his body right getting his vocals right you know he has a great food line he could sell is Food line while he's on tour like this so much money to be made. His Don't Be Cruel album is so relevant to now literally Bruno Mars hijacked that whole album in 24 karat gold so I feel like as a fan if Bobby could at least get his vocals together and lose some weight he could be out here selling out Arenas all by his self and really profiting from his legacy the way he should so as a fan I feel like you should step back really getting the vocal training try to lose some weight and slay the audience once that movie comes out in September.
He doesn’t have breath control. I was watching him perform this song on arensio show in the 80s and he’s basically doing what he’s doing now. Either stopping or talking out some of the lyrics.
Ashley it was different back then though.. not too many artists performed at the high energy level that Bobby did, or they would lip sync. Bobby actually used to sing live and give his all dancing, but now he’s just terribly out of shape.

I think with the right vocal coach and some exercise he’ll be better. His old lifestyle did a number on his vocals. When he performed rock wit cha live, I think it was japan, he sounded amazing. I’m sure if he was to perform it now he would do the stopping or talking out his lyrics. He is older and out of shape so I think we’re both right lol.

@Big Badass Truck Driver - yeah I noticed from the New Edition Movie and all the promo that Ralph Tresvant was not present at a lot of promo events. They made excuses for him saying he had his radio show but I always felt it was more. I was never a fan of Johnny Gill as New Edition member. I liked his solo stuff. So I did not miss or document his absence but this has been brewing from last year. I'm glad these guys are continuing to make it work without them.
