This video is my comfort video!!!! I like to imagine living here and my mother saying "Yeah my daughter is living in her dream house in France with her beautiful/handsome husband or wife with a beautiful little girl named Delilah
Sensitively restored so far. With these very old buildings there's always another job needing attention. Part of their charm. Lol. Wish I had a very deep purse.
Me too! It would certainly have the feel of home very quickly. Would enjoy just being home. With deep purse could afford the help needed ad yet could buy anything needed to be done to finish the extras that may need to be done to keep it up to great repair.
Thank you for these lovely videos maybe I can't have one of these homes but I do have my own beautiful home and it gives me ideas on how to change things and what to bring in including colors and fabrics windows thank you it's beautiful
the kitchen is awful and has the appeal of a laboratory🤢that kitchen needs to be completely gutted and remodeled in the style of the home’s character….a huge wooden table, stone floors and a large open fireplace with floating shelves and copper pots for decor and one of those ovens like they have in England umm Aga ranges yeah maybe in black and copper or gold detail would fit quite nicely…..a kitchen is the heart of a home and needs to feel inviting….unlike a dentist office🤢
Try New Orleans for similar architecture. The Vieux Carre aka French Quarter. Primarily built in the mid 1700’s. Beautiful architecture, incredible homes, with a lot of the details; floors, mouldings, plaster reliefs, stairways, courtyards.....just absolutely stunning. It was like a dream when I lived amongst it. Lots of places on-line to view on Realtor dot com , but in French Quarter New Orleans LA.
@@BrokeDadProductions ya. Ur are correct there. Some parts are absolutely stunning. I Just couldnt ever commit to the city. On top of all the economic issues they have, why the hell would anybody live on a plot of coastal land that sits below sea level.
Rowan the same reason people live near yearly wild-fires, earthquakes, drought area, volcanos....it’s what they know or find beautiful. I will say, New Orleans is a fun town-never a dull moment, rich in culture. But yes, it’s been poorly managed for years and years. The citizens keep voting for the same type of leadership that keeps repeating the same type of mistakes.
A beautiful old house, and obviously lovingly looked after....but way too much house for comfort....the more I see of huge old homes, the less I could actually live in one ! Give me a cottage any day !

Heating-costs during winter-time, taxes, costs for the roofs are enourmous. (Summer will be not a problem at all, nor food or water.) One should buy a wonderful property like this only if one has clearly enough money in his pocket or loves to live "Laissez-faire". I speak from own experience.:) Clearly: this is marvellous!!
I agree about the kitchen, it’s really out of place with this home! I hope the new owners maintained the uniqueness and character of this place because it has so much historic charm! But I’m willing to bet they made this beautiful home into a Hollywood Hills mid century modern clubhouse🙄
The kitchen sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of it. Modernizing the appliances doesn't mean the aesthetics can't be historically sympathetic.
It has been under offer for some time. Well, did their funding work or did it fall thru? Is it back on the market? You really to let us know. It is so lovely and the comments show you might sell it to someone else with cash in hand.
I love this chateau! The kitchen is not bad in the least. YOU try to cook a gourmet meal in anything less of a kitchen. My kitchen would be twice as contemporary or classic relative to the existing kitchen. Get real. Cook in anything less? Good luck, without a cook and staff!
Greg you cook outdoors in a make shift kitchen with a mud oven so you get real boo🙄you over there sitting on a log pouring salt while eating with your wooden utensils🙄boo please🤚🏻
@@FolkFaninMA the floor need some serious sanding and varnish, the walls need patching and repainting. It's more like bringing it back to its former glory.
Nenette Santos, cosmetic stuff maybe though some people like the “lived in” look. I saw one chateau that was renovated within an inch of it’s life. Totally stripped everything out and modernized it so it looked like any house on the market. It was very sad to see that kind of renovation.
This video is my comfort video!!!! I like to imagine living here and my mother saying "Yeah my daughter is living in her dream house in France with her beautiful/handsome husband or wife with a beautiful little girl named Delilah
I've watched many video tours of absolutely gorgeous chateaux, but this one is most certainly one of my favorites due to how warm and welcoming it is!
Hello, thank you ! Glad you enjoyed it.
Love this chateaux so much as well as the grounds
If you've ever read any of Patricia Highsmith's Ripley novels, this really is like Tom's villa. Enchanting.
This house is stunning and so are all their decor and collections. Beautiful.
Thank you !

It is indeed beautiful...with one exception:
That ghastly kitchen !😨😲
But that staircase..😍💓😍💕😍
I wasn’t expecting to see that modern kitchen but this is lovely ❤️ and such a beautiful location ♥️♥️
I could quite cheerfully move in as is and live there the rest of my life then die a happy woman.
Perfect, just perfect! Dream home!

I love the sleek contemporary kitchen. Shows that the house is a home and not a museum.

Perfect home for me, with some changes both inside and outside!
Then don't buy it!
The moderne kitchen is out of place !
It certainly is..I don't like it at all.
True but maybe the kitchen was so out of date and unusable they just decided to renovate it entirely.
@@agees924 they did that kitchen dirty

I agree, the city is poorly run and overburdened with crime. But interiors in the French Quarter, of some of the properties, are absolutely stunning.

Lovely!!!
Gorgeous.
Can imagine the cost to keeping it cool in the summer and warm in the winter days and besides the tax property on it ,plus food and water.

The house needs some fresh paint, wallpaper, and some rugs to brighten things up a little. The kitchen is too modern for the rest of the house.

Why would you ruin the house by putting in a kitchen like that 🤦♂️

The newer furniture is likely fake wood. Stuff is cheap and everything is plastic,
