That's the sled operator. Basically the weight box comes forward and puts more down pressure on the front pan causing more friction and it makes it harder to pull. My buddy has a 6200# super stock truck.

Dan don't know about truck and tractor pulls? The monster trucks use to tour with the pulling trucks back in the 80s and 90s. Your a car guy and you definitely should have seen tractor pulling before. The sled weight goes up further on the sled to make the tractor pull a heavier and harder load.

Yeah Ford really hit the mark with the Voodoo engine. The 5.2L Aluminator crate engine, while at the core is a Coyote 5.0, shares a lot of parts with the production Voodoo engine most noteable the crankshaft, $25k for basically a easier to maintain voodoo.
Ill give you the 7 liter is good, but the 5.2 voodoo is for sure the tits sonically. Also, i cant believe you havent seen tractor pulling before. Its the most american thing thats ever existed.
