    Which one does not require you to connect to a different wifi name? For example I have what I thought was a booster but I have to connect to this separately in order for it to be of use, I have some devices connected to the main router and some to the booster.

    Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have one that says it has an ap mode, repeater mode, and router mode which would be better?

    • @tech-techover
      @tech-techover  Před rokem +8

      Ap mode connets to your main router by cable and then serves your other devices wirelessly while repeater connects to your main router wirelessly and repeats your WiFi signal to other devices. Ap mode is better because you get the full speed of your main router while repeater can be hit or miss since the repeater can repeat a weak signal from your main router or a strong signal from your main router depending on where it’s located. Router mode its just the normal router.

    Dear Sir,
    I have one 5G router linked to 8 port switch and the 8 port already installed ethernet cables in many walls at my home, if I use multi wifi extender by connect each one with wire from same switch source is it going to be all of them basis in one wifi user and password? So I don’t need to switch in mobile phone for wifi and I don’t need my mobile phone have full disconnected signal from one extender then will try itself to search another extender signal automatic

    • @tech-techover
      @tech-techover  Před rokem

      From my understanding there are routers that will use different username and password and since they will be connected by ethernet from the main router, they will definitely have different credentials.

    • @tech-techover
      @tech-techover  Před rokem

      So as long as your phone has all the credentials of all the routers in memory. It will automatically switch connection based on the signal that is stronger

      OK I have a question let's say I go with this option. Initially I wanted to hardwire my system. Is that a possible option? Connect the booster to services and then hardwire to another device and how effective do you think this will be. I want to increase internet speeds.

    • @tech-techover
      @tech-techover  Před 2 lety

      @@jalarriusglass7370 well if you hardwire your device the internet speed is going to be great since there are no interference that is normally related with wireless networks. You should also note that your speed won’t increase drastically since you will be receiving the speed allocated to you by ISP. but it will be significantly better than when on WiFi.

    My work & personal laptop are both 2.4 GHz bands & far away from the modem.
    But wifi is very slow on work laptop, but working OK on the personal laptop.
    Which device should I get to be able to work from home?
    (We cannot put the work desk next to the modem so cannot connect by cable ...)
    Thank you so much!

    • @tech-techover
      @tech-techover  Před 3 měsíci

      Now, for your scenario you could decide to run an ethernet cable directly from your modem to the work desk and connect your work laptop directly to it. The other option is running an ethernet cable to your desk from the modem and connecting it to a WiFi extender, then connecting your work laptop to the extender. But if it were me i would go with the first option.

  • @AlexDoubleU44
    @AlexDoubleU44 Před rokem +3

    I have really slow internet, which one should I get?

    • @tech-techover
      @tech-techover  Před rokem +2

      The slow internet could be attributed to so many factors. For example it could be because of the kind of speed your internet provider has allocated to you. It could also be because of interference within your WiFi frequency from other devices that use similar frequency within your home. Sometimes changing the frequency from 2.4ghz to 5ghz could solve the problem. The location of the router could also make the signal weaker.. in that case you should opt for a ethernet connection directly from the router to your pc.. if the location of the router is a problem then a wireless extender is not an option because the extender will only project the said weak signal

    Well explained. 💯 Have a question though. Which is best for just strengthening your WIFI signal upstairs in a back room and backyard? Like a plug and go? I used to have a TP Link WIFI extender I think , years ago and may still have it around here. The password for it was forgotten and that threw things off, but it used to work fine for that. Oh and modem downstairs but signal is" excellent" there.

    • @tech-techover
      @tech-techover  Před 11 měsíci +1

      You can reset the extender and continue using it or alternatively get a new router and set it up as you did earlier with a wired connection through ethernet

    • @tech-techover
      @tech-techover  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yes you can do it wirelessly, but you have to consider the obstacles that will weaken signal strength, and lead to poor internet connection. For examole If its one wall between the main router and the extender then thats okay but more than that then its not worth it

      If you are near the router itself, you should probably use ethernet cable for maximum speed. If you are in another room, running an ethernet cable to the the extender is better, or even just running ethernet from the main router to your pc.

Only if you are a wannabee CZcams teen creating mediocre content, then you are allowed to the club of beggars for likes. You even ask for it twice. You are above that. If you want to be a serious channel then take your viewers serious. people are not stupid. They will hit like if they like the video and will subscribe if you offer more nice videos.
