- Crazy two days here in Nebraska! We had wind, hail, rain, and tornadoes! Luckily, to the best of my knowledge, no one was injured. What do you think of that big Case Quadtrac? More dirt moving in the future? Merry Christmas!! Also, tomorrow, (December 19th, 2021) is me and Grant's 1 year wedding anniversary!

I enjoy the company of you and Grant so much. I'm a former farm Boy now disabled and living alone. I don't drive anymore either, so going from a former very active life to one which is now basically kind of like being in jail, you too keep me company, keep me interested, and keeping the remembrances of being outside, working outside alongside those you love, well it doesn't get any better than that.
I love all the technology it is so fascinating. And the tractors have changed so much in the 50 years since I've been working on a cattle ranch surrounded by corn and dairy farms.
My favorite job though was riding fence on Sweetheart with our working German Shepherd, Machën keeping company. The stories I could tell you about her, what an amazing dog. Fearless & smart on the job and the biggest sweetheart off the job. Watching her stare down and move a bull was something to see.
So back to you. I really do appreciate you posting these videos, which are so well produced and edited. I'm assuming that you do the editing? How much time do you put into editing each video?

I used to work for Mid Nebraska Land Developers and Roberts family is a wonderful family and very professional. They go above and beyond and make sure the customer gets what they need. I sure miss running those machines but glad Laura and Grant you guys are all ok from those storms.
I hope the materials needed to replace the pivots are in good supply-so glad y’all are whole and healthy. We had a fairly large amount of terrace work done to our farm last year-love the heavy equipment operators!
You are such a great teacher. I have learned so much about farming and farm life. It is so refreshing to see hard working people who respect others. You and Grant have such a happy outlook and it is infectious. Keep up the great work.

Happy Anniversary, Lara you look so much like my mom when she was in her early twenties back in the 1920’s. She was a farm girl as was all my family on both sides. She drove 2, 3 or 4 horses depending on the equipment. Her dad ( my grandpa) had the first big herd of dairy cows in the area, 70 millets.

I enjoy your podcasts . I lived in Omaha for 5 years in the early 80’s and my son was born there . I worked the length of Nebraska along I 80 and north to S Dakota. I worked for a commercial insurance company. Moving from Long Island NY I thought I was going to be ducking arrows when I crossed the mighty mo. I loved it out there it was always an adventure. But the company moved us to Philly, then to Wilkes Barre In NE PA, then to TN Valley just west of Knoxville. Now retired your podcast bring up fond memories of Nebraska .

After that storm hit you guy,we got in iowa,5-6 tornadoes,alot of wind damage,my suv got power washed,dried,dirtier afterwards.lol,i love the awesome tractors.

I remember a few yrs back driving truck, I was at exit 257 Elm Creek, when it was a pilot, and down came strong rain then hail storm. It scared me cause I'm from Idaho and we don't really get that type of severe storm! Anyway glad you all made it safely through it!

My friend had a duck named Pete. Old Pete dropped in one day with a bad leg and never left. She would feed that duck little shrimp by hand, along with all of her other pets. Such as a miniature horse and a donkey that is misunderstood. She's a wonderful giving human being. A lot like you.

Yep, 75mph winds are nasty. Like junior hurricane nasty. Like almost tornado nasty. Just be thankful you didn't face those sorts of winds. Last time I had no power for almost 2 weeks.

Happy Anniversary you too and many more. Laura, you look so much like my mom did at your age. Born in 1912 on the largest dairy farm in our area (70 cows) . the second of 7 children (5 girls 2 boys). They all worked the farm, most off spring still are on farms.

That Cat scraper was built at the plant I worked at when I got hurt. I worked on the adjust floor for the large tractor scrapers. That one was built before I worked there from the looks of it.

Tore up that area, we were spared but at the time were on our way to the basement. It comes up fast, even with the warning.
