  • 15 inches of Rain has really slowed down harvest, but we're back at it! Little Isla sure is getting to know her way around the farm! She's gonna be putting me out of work real soon.

I wasn't expecting that at the end. I lost my uncle to suicide. He was a farmer and was like a second dad to me. Its 10 years this year since he passed. It still gets me. I miss him. I wish he could meet or son and see him growing. Mind yourselves and record videos whenever you want. People want to see you enjoying what yo do and if that means less screen time sometimes then that's what it means. I love what yo guys put out, it allows me to farm vicariously. Few subscribers mention/comment about your dad. I have to say that I think he is a really good man. I can tell by his demeanor and the way he communicates with you, Jim and others that he is not just intelligent and thoughtful, but he is a kind man. There are lots of stressors involved in farming and I know he is always under stress (as are you). But he seems like a genuinely good person. You are fortunate to have him as your father and his influence on you is apparent. (as if I need tell you that - but it is apparent).

I’m probably painting with a broad brush here, but I’ve noticed in my life that a lot men in agriculture have a hard time dealing with their emotions. Those dudes are tough and have been forever. Watching the first part of this I couldn’t help thinking that Onyx will have some grain cart driver competition in a couple years. And Grandpa will be competing for the combine seat. Great to see the kids take part in the farm.

Thanks Zach and family …for your time. Just ordered some merch. I know its tuff filming all the time, and the editing I can’t even imagine. but you sure show us how hard ya’ll work. And I look forward for all of your videos. Been worried about you guys and how bad the crops would be. I know it’s none of our business but would be interested in how the crop insurance thing works or doesn’t. Even if it was explained on a hypothetical basis. Thanks again

There is nothing worse than pushing content out just for the sake of making content. That's how you get fake, inauthentic content because you run out of stuff to show.
We would much rather have fewer uploads but keep it real with us!

Had to deal with suicidal thoughts myself, it got so bad that, first time in my life, i had to ask for help. It was easier than i thought. If you break a leg you don't think twice and just scream for help, why not when something in your head breaks? It is a serious illness, it's not by choice and help is possible!

My sincere condolences on the passing of Curt. There’s help out there and folks that ask for help need to be applauded not frowned at. Take care & stay safe. Cheers from BC 🇨🇦
