When an artist presents a Song into the competition, how do they share that Song with the audience? Do they simply type out the Song lyrics onto a piece of paper and give it to the audience? 🤔

ABBA won in 1974 not 1976, and Eurovision is a SONG contest not a singing competition. Every country send a original song sung by a already based known artist or an upcomming artist that has already won a national final to represent their country
Not to mention it is not like “american idol” on steroids. It is its own original competition

When misinformed americans would learn that it has nothing in common with American Idol,since it is not a singing competition? EUROVISION SONG CONTEST,people. Not a random talent show. Every country sends an original song,usually performed by someone (singer/band) that is already known in her/his/their own country,and most of the time that were selected by people voting on their national selections. Yes,sometimes there are few politics involved (countries voting for their neighbors,or not giving any points to their enemies),but it is not a general thing. Actually,some of the past winners were Portugal,The Netherlands or even Italy this year,that had nothing to do with politics. Please americans,just stay in your bubble if you are not going to inform properly.
@Brat Brosky And even the talent shows like Idol or The Voice come from Europe. The Voice was invented in The Netherlands,and Idol in the UK. Their own "culture" is ultraprocessing food and deep-frying everything. All of the other things come from Europe. But yeah,we can't expect anything from a country in which most of their nationals think chocolate milk comes from brown cows or that Spain is in Mexico and Switzerland and Sweden are the same 😂.

Americans will never fully understand the Eurovion Song Contest because it is much more than just a competition. It is Europe lived, it is a feeling of pride, it is a cultural institution, it shows us Europeans every year what we have in common, despite the diversity on this continent.
In Europe you only need to drive a few kilometers and you are in a different culture, with a different language, different traditions, different food. Europe is an enormous diversity and yet we have so much in common. That's one of the reasons Europe was able to rule much of the world.

She is very controversial. Her song caused commotion on Russian news outlets and she literally got death threats. That is more than enough to qualify as controversial.

Since I was 13 now over 13 years, Mamma Mia got me hooked on Abba, first Wikipedia search was Abba then Eurovision the rest is history, I’ve never been but I’ve been to the Swedish final in 2017 and can sing in most of the Eurovision languages albeit badly but that’s what a lot of my European friends are surprised I sing some of their songs or can at least pronounce a song quite well. Haha 😆, can’t wait to write a song for the American version

It's nothing like that! American Idol tries to make new stars, Eurovision already has the stars.
We have localized versions of American Idol in Europe and god, it's awful. Castings are fun, but that's it.
