Struck me as narcissistic and oddly detached from personal responsibility in the documentary.
Yes!!! I agree
There is something very disconcerting about her.
she is so desperately trying to save face when she is complicit in all of this...
I did this thing for years but don't judge me by this thing I did for years because..... I'm a human rights activist? Rationalization is a powerful thing.
senorwidget: Error Recognized, even BBelatedly,Admitted,Regretted and Attemptedly Atoned For Is Not Rationalization.
blood Thirsty Gun Nuts called themselves Patriots/Trump Voters Deluding themselves that they are Defending themselves against "Elites" :Those are Rationalizations, rather like "Sometimes you have to Destroy a Village in order to Save it".
senorwidget isn't it a sitcom cliche for the activist to work for the man in the end? Ie. How I met your mother, slc punks
senorwidget
funny how fecesbook is describing it as a data breach lol
Yes, it was this lefties human rights thing that threw me .... on what planet does leftie human rights fall under mass manipulation? She liked the power that came with playing with people, nothing more and nothing less. At least Alexander Nix has the grace, however thin, to keep his mouth shut.
+William Hooper It seems to me that Kaiser hasn't resolved the cognitive dissonance yet; there's still rationalisation there. On one level she feels there's a conflict between her left-leaning values and what she was doing, and on another she's explaining to herself that what she was doing wasn't _wrong_ per se.
'[I'm a] very far-left human rights activities' - gimmie a break. You worked for them for 4 years and left cause they wouldn't pay more!
How does one go from working for Amnesty International to working for Cambridge Analytica?
Perhaps those organizations share more similarities than you initially assumed
Money
Charities and NGOs can be deep state trojan horses.
She was the daughter of obviously WEALTHY FOLKS.
Her mom worked for ENRON (that had a huge scandal of it's own), and her dad was a real estate developer/exec, of some sort, I forget.
You should see her EDUCATION PROFILE on Wikipedia🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯, yet you hear her mom say in The Great Hack documentary she doesn't have $1000. right now😲
"always been a far left human rights activists" .... yet was a top executive for a company whose basic premise was mass manipulation ...... honest to God .... a person couldn't make up these people ....
Georgina Paul shows that political positions and values are different things
Georgina Paul 😂
Wamuyu Gatheru .... I disagree. Political positions are the expression of a person's values in the political sphere. Two things are operating with this young woman. Or, rather, not operating. For starters, she is not owning her role in mass manipulation. And her actions, her role, in mass manipulation put lie to her self description of someone who values human rights. In short, this young woman has no idea of who or what she is and this absence of self awareness bleeds into an absence of ownership. Intellectually and emotionally, everything is under control. But in a very real soul, spiritual sense, no one's home.
Oh dear so you lost then when Trump and Brexit won??
she is such a phony. she was a conservative cowboy boot wearing(still wears) NRA member when it was helpful for her,and now she is "far left"hahahaha....
Only quit after contractual dispute. Money in other words.
Thats why CEO's and Military Generals alwahs gets paid big money because they know where the bodies are buried.
Individuals should be paid a royalty from companies who monetize their data...DUH! And if paying individuals royalties is not practical or is too costly then the act of selling Individuals’ data should be outlawed.
Ques: Will we ever see this kind of fair & just service done for individuals?
Answer: NO, we surely won’t.
Ques: Why not?
ANSWER: the individual citizen has zero representation in the political arena. As long as industries have the right to lobby law makers, the best interest of individuals will always take a back seat to industry’s.
LilMOMMAson - A really big class action lawsuit? I want my payday!!!
It's pretty depressing to hear that the only worth I have is my data. 😢
Your data is being analyzed right now.
TheReviewSpace yup
Perhaps we should give Brittany a little more credit than some of the comments here. She has spoken out at a critical juncture in the investigation, Every bit helps to expose the truth.
She spoke out at a critical juncture A. after getting fired in a contract dispute. B. for money for an on camera interview. C. after working there (sans morals) for over four years. Yeah, she deserves something, alright. Just don't think it's credit.
Pragmatically, you don't get witnesses to turn by being brutal with them. You don't have to laud them, just keep some of your spite and bile for those she's turning against. She may not be a good person, but the people who hired her should not be allowed to get away to a position where they can just do the whole thing all over again just because we're too busy driving Kaiser to the guillotine.
Leighton Cooke
At least SOMEONE has a backbone!
True, but it never happens until some big blowup.
minceyjs they’re a lot more than a data mining company. Obama did nothing like they did.
In the end, most people don't vote based on facts, but on beliefs. CA understands and has weaponized that for conservative and authoritarian gains. I bet the same people who scoff at this story would blindly believe it if it were for liberal political gains.
In fact Obama 2012 started the trend of microtargeting and Facebook was very helpful then because they supported the good cause. And you are right, nobody cared.
Not even beliefs, people vote for emotional reasons
it's not the microtargeting that's really the issue, it's the creation of fake content to sway those targeted voters that's the main issue.
So she has a background in human rights, openly states politics is gridlocked, then goes on to help conservative parties around the globe win elections. I'd say not to be fooled by her shallow disavowal of her actions. She knows EXACLTY what she is doing and has no regrets.
This tells me that "professionalism" is overrated. It's not like she was a public defender whose job is to make sure that even the guilty are prosecuted fairly. She was making money helping the Mercers. As one criminologist put it, the Mercers are all the worst ick you'd get if you distilled the Koch brothers. Talk about the banality of evil -- just listen to the flatness of her voice and business jargon when she talks about it. It's better late than never, but the damage is done.
eric moss
Banality of liberalist horror
Well, if she’s a libertarian...then that’s free market for ya.
Alpha Go: Don't be superficial... Lots of "good conservatives" and "good liberals" lose their moral compass when the $ start flowing. They often regain it, a bit, when they get thrown under the bus.
WHAT is "liberalist",eric moss ??
Why are the mercers any different than all the billionaires that give to campaigns? Hillary Clinton hired correct the record and used big data as well. She employed for much longer in the campaign as Trump's only came in at the very end.
Shes just as guilty as the rest..
All of the people who work in such kinds of firms belong into jail - FOR A VERY LONG TIME!
ASWELL AS ALL OF THE CLIENTS!
Holy F*ck! This is not even questionable if this is against the law. I cannot believe that this exists.
Why are these firms and clients not ALL behind bars already ??!!
Capitalism.
She seems to have this air of arrogance thinking she is a big deal. She is nobody and that title director has that grandeur of aurora around it but she was just an employee who was on a payroll by a shady company
CA should be held accountable.
For what?
Raymeester - where do you begin with all of their violations across the globe.
Let's start with the stolen 50 million identities.
Here's a shocker.
They weren't stolen.
@@raymeester7883 watch complete documentation in Netflix called “Great Hack” CA used data illegally
@@mikemercado5687 No, they didn't.
Why is 'I voted for Bernie' part of the title? Hardly a key part of the interview.
Because..clicks. This is journalism before journalism (broadsides, town criers etc.), headlines get eyeballs and ears onto your message. They're so important, they're not even confided to authors or film makers who have no say: they're a specialist's job to attract that all important attention.
I don't know what "she is a fake" means in this context. Nor the relevance of your thinking she resembles a porn star. What a strange comment.
Yeah clickbait. Way to go Guardian you’re manipulating viewers too
Why does who she voted for matter?
Clearly, motivation.
BECAUSE,Frank Martin Jr,had she Voted for Trump, she would be a Deluded Fool,Not to be given Any Credence.
William Hooper so they referenced who she voted for in the primary so we feel she’s trust worthy? Who did she vote for in the general?
Because populism is populism and if two people walk far enough to the left and to the right they will eventually meet up. Extreme populism and mistrust of "elites" destroys democracies. Read yer Plato.
frank. she says she didn't vote in the primary.
"I am not that interested in standing up for powerful white men anymore" - well, you are pretty much helping the powerful white men - not that smart - is it? Well, a director title in your 20's alone doesn't make one smart.
She looks like that one kid from Stranger Things, you know which one
she sounds like him too 😂
By definition, if you dismiss someone based on their sex or their race, you are being sexist and racist. Bernie Sanders is arguably a powerful white man. And if I were an American, I would have voted for him, despite this, uh, shortcoming. Now, having said the above, I found Brittany Kaiser to be very interesting and would like to hear a long form, more detailed interview about her work and how she thinks it affects us.
Build a society that breaks people apart, and then use them against other people ... what a flake.
Man, there were some real morons who worked for this company. It's amazing they got so much done.
I think she's not being completely honest.
How does ANYONE have EVERYBODY's Best Interest at Heart. Best interest as defined by Who?
She would still be working there had her contract dispute been resolved in her favor.
Cambridge analytica is merely a drop in the bucket. You can't put the genie back in the bottle. Once the internet was filled with personal information, it wasn't long till organizations found ways to get that data. And they always will.
how do you know?
Saad Hafidh because she clearly states in this interview that it wasn't character that motivated her to quit- it was a contract dispute. Had they agreed to pay her more, she would have continued working for them. Since she quit and now realizes how difficult it's going to be for her to earn a good wage, she's started the interview circuit.
Because you can be corrupt doesnt make it right to be in any way.
Handed to You your right but exposing is exposing. It doesnt matter who it comes from or why.

Good points.
Agree with +Leighton Cooke. But also, consider the ethical standards and personal integrity of most factory churned MBA's these days (or any days past really). Such spiritual attributes are almost non-existent in these graduates. I do not think it is even mildly satirical to suggest all MBA's be asked to sit through a few episodes of "The Good Place" and consider Chidi Anagonye and his "3600 page thesis", and consider why is acting with integrity and honesty and morality so hard, and can be satirized so easily on sitcoms? Arendt was so right about the banality of evil, and it can start so easily, almost innocently, by forgetting your own worth as a human being and submitting to working as a high paid wage slave for a greedy corporation.
Hang on..... Putin isn't the CEO of Cambridge Analytica???
Thanks Brittany for shedding light on this, must have taken a huge amount of courage.
CA changed there name and Nix and everyone else that worked for CA are now working with the new company probably doing the same thing.
These stories are exactly why we should donate money to The Guardian. They're doing real journalism. Also, google, I know you're analyzing this data. Too bad it's my throwaway account.
but I can't forgive them for demeaning Jeremy Corbyn, hypocritical to say the least.
RealNews, Newsbud, Jimmy Dore etc have been covering the actions of Cambridge Analytica and co for over a year now.
The Guardian overall supported the Iraq War and the freedom bombing of Libya and Syria and.... They include a little decent journalism to appear worthy of support but they tow the big political and corporate deceptions.
Scarlet Matt Where were the Guardian stories when Obama mined FB data for his 2012 campaign??
Scarlet Matt
not really. .. this was known years ago
coojsta69 The Guardian was the one who broke the story.
It would be interesting if it were discovered that CA had been in conversation with Russia.
ABC_123 wishful thinking. Come to Kekistan. You'll like it here.
Is that a joke? CA was in conversations with Russia. Have you been under a rock the last days? LukeOil etc.?
mazze00 then there should be no problem whatever convicting Trump.
Now the pathetic left is trying to use CA to get a new Brexit vote.
Allegations are far different from facts provable in a court and securing a conviction. Whisper campaigns not withstanding.
The only reason Cambridge Analytica are in so much trouble is because they helped the trump campaign. None of this would be an issue if they did it for Obama in 2012.
So, Britney was on the left volunteering. But when she was offered a job by the Republican Party, she took the job. why didn’t she ask her boss to start getting paid at that point, now that her value was realized? I wonder if it was all a big game, an attention thing or her moral compass is just totally off and she sold out? 🤷♂️ 😔
So you contributed to the problem, got the money then had an attack of a sudden conscience. Bunch of bull is all that is.
Finally someone that has my same view on the problem. This girl has contributed on making damage that would take years to be repaired! She took the money and now she's playing cool!?. I don't like it at all.
Thanks Brittles, tell us all more please! 🙂
IT MUST BE STIRRED
you are about as far-left as door mat.
The Guardian What's her background? Who is she.
Sorry but, why the hell was the colour of someones skin brought up here? This issue has absolutely nothing to do with race, it is all to do with character. This is the classic 'psychological' influence which they have been manipulating others with for so long. That is why there are statements here such as: 'white, privileged men', 'human rights', 'activist'...
Sweetie, you're fooling no-one. You were complicit in the entire scandal. You enjoyed a life paid for as a result of these scandals. Contractual dispute or not, you failed to come clean when ample opportunity presented itself over, and over, and over, and over again. You deserve to go down with the rest of them; if you fly with the crows, you'll be shot with the crows.
because there is almost 100% correlation between the colour white and the colour of blood.
Saad Hafidh Actually there is almost a 100% correlation between you and historical illiteracy.
They are all going to Guantanamo Bay.
Feel the Bern!
Robert Muller is speaking about unwittingly. This woman never heart about the EU laws of protecting personal data?
Stop. United Nations. Stop right there. Tell me about Cambridge Analytica and the UN. 4:08
Voted for Bernie AND worked for Cambridge analytica? She is a huge part of the problem.
Literally almost everyone works for either an evil corporation or an evil government. How is she special?
JonnyNice I work for myself. I choose not to participate in the evil.
Anytime data is monetized users should be fairly compensated. This would be a good way to redistribute wealth and lower inequality. Data taxation.
She looks very young to be in such a position.
Oh wow. What Brittany kaiser said makes so much sense. We the people give away our personal information for free and organisations like Google, Facebook, WhatsApp and others mint billions of dollars on it. It should be we should be paid part of the profit when they pass our data to those who seek.
Will this be a awakening call for the peoples?
She believed her own hype then since voting third party in a swing state is the same as voting for the incumbent.
Oink! Oink!
We don't want to monetise our data love; we just want to be left alone.
You can't be left alone.
This guy sure hired a lot of freaks.
oh here we fuckin go
Liberalism find a cure 🎗
Didn't she cut her hair, dye it fussia, and testify in front of congress, in the US. The tricky trans, tricksters. KOut

Christopher Amoros you are so right! My head is spinning in the contradictions and impact of these dark arts
Wooow
remorse... her currency is of no importance in of itself. only what she says is true or not matters.
Notes for myself

Was this millions of dollars of free money in exchange for vaporware or was this legitimately hard work that stats can prove made an impact?
Cause I'm seeing a lot scratching the surface but no hard evidence or explaining tactics, methods, legitimate actions.
Lastly, I am glad she came forward. However all that juicy data that could prove anything has been destroyed. It's like, 2 years too late. Why haven't they been under surveillance this entire time? Hit Mercer.
there's nobody on the planet that didn't about FB already...nothing burger.
All plays
Britanny is a man, look at that face and the voice too.
Bernie Sanders is at the center of all this. You got played!
lmao shut up
KGB will hire her
ty i love you

I see the Guardian has found another whinger!
Shes not a whistle blower. Shes controlled opposition. Get bent.
here, putin is whistleblowing on his own work knowing most of us wont believe so. putin., worlds most effective troll. ever.
She needs 24/7 security to protect her personal safety, I applaud her courage and integrity to conduct this interview

Wow, I had no idea how far we've come with communicating with Saint bernards
JUST AFTER ANALYTICA EXPOSURE ENTER BOLTON THE GENOCIDE SPECIALIST
I'm monetizing my data from now on 100 bucks anyone? XD
They say nothing until they leave - I was just following z-orders!
someone is trying to safe herself ^^
I wonder if Cambridge Analytica was hired to sway the Scotts from leaving the UK.
Democracy is on life support.
Democracy died in 1963 with the JFK assassination. Why are you still clinging to its dead corpse?
Ha! Funny man.
Wow, if she Max Kaiser's daughter?! They look so much alike!!!))
She's not exactly a hero. But I guess we should still be grateful for the inside track (proof)? Funny how this isn't dominating the US mainstream news cycle. I mean, it's a total fuckn Trump fest these days....why not?
Bitcoin
She's not sexist and racist. Your perspective is warped.
I guess you misses the first 5 sec of the video.
"I'm not that interested in standing up for powerful white men anymore"..... it is clearly a statement about power. Given the both the historical and immediate context, how did you conclude that this was a sexist and racist comment?
bee,WHO claimed that she is "sexist and racist" ??!
Suggesting that you are no longer interested in furthering the disproportionate power of a group of people you feel does not have the best interest of the general public at heart is qualitatively different to stating, for no apparent reason, that you are 'not interested in talking to poor Mexican men'. Address her statement on its own merits. Anything else just comes across as a thoughtless visceral reaction.
I think the thoughtlessness was also on her part. Sometimes powerful white men should be stood up for, sometimes they should be imprisoned, often they should be left alone. The problem is that people were misled and lied to, their psychological vulnerabilities were abused in a manner that undermines our societies' capacities to adapt. It has much to do with power and almost nothing to do with skin colour and gender.
XXL faced snake
She looks quite white too me. So I wonder what her issue with while men is?
be involve in crytocurrency. there are numerous coin that focus on privacy. Just like Pillar and other coins
BLOCKCHAIN BLOCKCHAIN, thats all I am saying

Is that where local communities create their own networks?
Intro was a bit racist
UNSKIALzPSN is it keeping you down lol
Voted for Bernie? And that supposed to be the positive thing about you?
yuck, this is becoming so... irrelevant.
First 5 seconds...nope. Ignore.
