      Yes, it was this lefties human rights thing that threw me .... on what planet does leftie human rights fall under mass manipulation? She liked the power that came with playing with people, nothing more and nothing less. At least Alexander Nix has the grace, however thin, to keep his mouth shut.

      +William Hooper It seems to me that Kaiser hasn't resolved the cognitive dissonance yet; there's still rationalisation there. On one level she feels there's a conflict between her left-leaning values and what she was doing, and on another she's explaining to herself that what she was doing wasn't _wrong_ per se.

      Wamuyu Gatheru .... I disagree. Political positions are the expression of a person's values in the political sphere. Two things are operating with this young woman. Or, rather, not operating. For starters, she is not owning her role in mass manipulation. And her actions, her role, in mass manipulation put lie to her self description of someone who values human rights. In short, this young woman has no idea of who or what she is and this absence of self awareness bleeds into an absence of ownership. Intellectually and emotionally, everything is under control. But in a very real soul, spiritual sense, no one's home.

    Ques: Will we ever see this kind of fair & just service done for individuals?
    Answer: NO, we surely won’t.
    Ques: Why not?
    ANSWER: the individual citizen has zero representation in the political arena. As long as industries have the right to lobby law makers, the best interest of individuals will always take a back seat to industry’s.

    Agree with +Leighton Cooke. But also, consider the ethical standards and personal integrity of most factory churned MBA's these days (or any days past really). Such spiritual attributes are almost non-existent in these graduates. I do not think it is even mildly satirical to suggest all MBA's be asked to sit through a few episodes of "The Good Place" and consider Chidi Anagonye and his "3600 page thesis", and consider why is acting with integrity and honesty and morality so hard, and can be satirized so easily on sitcoms? Arendt was so right about the banality of evil, and it can start so easily, almost innocently, by forgetting your own worth as a human being and submitting to working as a high paid wage slave for a greedy corporation.

    Anytime data is monetized users should be fairly compensated. This would be a good way to redistribute wealth and lower inequality. Data taxation.

    Oh wow. What Brittany kaiser said makes so much sense. We the people give away our personal information for free and organisations like Google, Facebook, WhatsApp and others mint billions of dollars on it. It should be we should be paid part of the profit when they pass our data to those who seek.
    Will this be a awakening call for the peoples?

      Suggesting that you are no longer interested in furthering the disproportionate power of a group of people you feel does not have the best interest of the general public at heart is qualitatively different to stating, for no apparent reason, that you are 'not interested in talking to poor Mexican men'. Address her statement on its own merits. Anything else just comes across as a thoughtless visceral reaction.

    • @YodasPapa
      @YodasPapa Před 6 lety +2

      I think the thoughtlessness was also on her part. Sometimes powerful white men should be stood up for, sometimes they should be imprisoned, often they should be left alone. The problem is that people were misled and lied to, their psychological vulnerabilities were abused in a manner that undermines our societies' capacities to adapt. It has much to do with power and almost nothing to do with skin colour and gender.
