@@Vangelus Omega Supreme was a titan I didn't think I was going to like but I think it might now be my favorite with Trypticon taking a close second because he is a giant freaking dinosaur that transforms into a city and battle station.

Couple thing I wanted to mention: First, the Centurion set has Roller, his ax, and a more G1 accurate gun in the accessory pack. Second, ER Cliffjumper fits rather well in the trailer from what I've heard.
Cliffjumper (and by extension Hubcap, Bugbite, and Bumblebee) do fit in the trailer. The Siege Praxian mold (Prowl, Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Barricade) also fits, albeit just barely. (no idea if the Earthrise counterpart fits)

That might be difficult if the Netflix Voyagers haven't been moving much in your area. (like my area. Practically overflowing with Megatron and Hotlink) That said, I'm not a fan of Netflix Prime's colors. Maybe it's better in person than the pictures make it out to be.

The command tower thing from the trailer is meant to be the rocket pack.
All cos of that one part of the G1 premiere where Prime took Sideswipe's rocket pack.
For everyone who dislikes the trailer as much as Vangelus, I thought I'd mention that there's a Wal-Mart exclusive that comes without a trailer and with two Battlemasters, and is slightly less overpriced (at least in Canada). It was a complete surprise to me when I saw it in my local Wal-Mart, so I thought I'd share. :-)

I absolutely love how aggro you get with the trailer. Like come on, it’s 2020, we need something else than just a box.

Old Takara interviews have said Hasbro are SUPER STRICT about toys having to fit size class packaging dimensions, in addition to how much plastic is allocated.
V P I guess I just have to hope they tried to do the best they could. WFC has given us some crazy ass size class miracles at least
@@karda009 They clearly couldn't do a properly sized trailer with the dimensions and budgetary restrictions, but omitting it would be weird for the setting where he definitely has a trailer. At least the (in my opinion, worse coloured) Netflix version gives people a chance to own this fantastic toy without the awful trailer.

I think your assessment of Earthrise Prime is quite fair. He's good out of the box, but it took me a lot of extra work to make mine "perfect:" a complete paint job to add in anything he was missing (including the fact that the Combat Deck drone ought to be blue with a gold cockpit, not flat gray), a set of Repro Labels, then third party add-ons that supplied the Combat Deck drone with guns, added Roller, gave him the Sideswipe backpack he had in the G1 pilot miniseries, and also added a blast effect for his gun or Matrix, an Energon axe, and a more cartoon-style rifle with an alternate blast effect.
Now my "Earthrise" Prime is perfect in my eyes, the G1 Prime I wish I'd had as a child in the 1990s, but I feel like I shouldn't have had to go to so much aftermarket effort to *get* him there, especially since I'm admittedly unwilling to fall for Hasbro's trap and buy their own add-on set (which has Roller, an Energon axe and a Megatron pistol) because I just don't have enough of the other figures to make that worthwhile.

The only one that can fit in prime's trailer is cliffjumper, and possibly netflix bumblebee since they are remolds.

The Earth mode Optimus being a remold of the Cybertron mode Optimus make sense since both toys are meant to be the same guy. Other Earthrise figures of dudes from Siege do the same, such as Prowl & Ironhide.

I haven't collected Transformers since I was a kid, but I keep up with the franchise and toy line, and this is kinda callin my name. I do like TF obviously and think I want a little Optimus shelf-warmer, and this looks great in both modes. Guess that nostalgia bait is working!
earthrise cliffjumper fits in primes trailer as do any other legends class figures
i'm fine with that as legends cars scale better with a voyager truck than deluxe cars (excluding earthrise cliffjumper)
the back bumper/wheel assembly is on a c clip, so it's REALLY easy to take off in robot mode. noting to do with it though
I DO think the trailer is small. And barren. And just generally lacking in every way.
But also, Prime actually *has* a trailer, which isn't something you can really say about a wide-release Optimus Prime figure dating back to, what, Dark of the Moon? And this is the first one *ever* in the CHUG line, as far as I know. So I can't really fault it too hard.
MP-21 actually can fit inside the trailer quite comfortably.
The trailer is actually meant for Earthrise Cliffjumper to fit in

Loved the review Van!! I love this figure to death also! Bought it on a whim at a Wal-Mart and ended up being beyond impressed with it. If you want to make it look even MORE G1, grab that Nonnef Studios trailer upgrade kit. It truly does wonders
I've been waiting for you to do a review of this ever since I pulled the trigger on one a few months ago. Personally I give it a solid A. The inclusion of Roller and being able to open the trailer door without pulling the sides apart would have bumped it up to an A+, but we can't always have everything in life and seeing this guy on the shelf made me hella thirsty. I had been thinking about getting the Seige Optimus for a while, and then this one came out, and it's everything I wanted out of such a figure, and what a great price. 50 bucks retail is the same as what they wanted for the recent re-release of the g1 Optimus, and it didn't even come with a trailer. Yes, I do like the trailer. True, it doesn't do much, but it does just enough for the whole package to feel worth the price to me. The last Optimus I bought was the Age Of Extinction stealth mode figure, and before that(not counting the one I bought for my stepson) was the g2 with the black trailer and the sound box, which was way back when I was a kid, thus that one will always be MY Optimus, so if I was going to buy another it had to have a trailer AND be g1 style, thus this figure saved me from having to break the bank on a Masterpiece or 3rd-party release. Plus I already had a couple of minis as well as the re-release of the old bumblebee figure, all of which will fit inside the trailer together, so as far as storage goes I'm perfectly satisfied with it.

It's amazing how the mass market TFs are getting better and better for the most part, while their Masterpiece line gets crappier and crappier for the most part (Beast Wars being an exception)

I don't mind the trailer even if it doesn't do too much.. i think Thew put it best that it provides this Optimus a "sense of completion" that trailer-less Primes lack.
Roller still would've helped though.
I only wish the peg for trailer is further down the leg so it can rotate properly... the current location the trailer can't turn. I don't see why they can't move it down
@Vangelus Do you still own the Fansproject G3 Trailer made for the CHUG Optimus Prime? and as such, have you seen if that trailer fits with this figure?
Honestly the base figure to me for the scale is the best i have ever seen, even better than all three masterpiece prime molds.. if i would get a masterpiece optimus it would be an mp10 repaint though if i could get it for a good price but no trailer since i don't have thát much interest in that...

I'm going to guess Marmalade for your jam/jelly of choice. Mainly because that's what we have in the house at the moment and thus was the first one to come to mind.
by all accounts my devotion to citrus should put marmalade on top, but I've never been able to get into it

If a third party made a proper sized trailer I’d be very happy to buy.
I suppose, if you only buy Hasbro releases, this is "good enough" for a modern G1 Prime(but I still can't stand them moving the cab stripe to the arm or tucking the gas tanks away). But the MP-10V set is only a bit more for a much better toy(or the same if you want to get a roller or other upgrades of any kind) and I already own the full MPP10 set so Hasbro's offering just feels flat by comparison.The trailer really suffers from hollow spaces and having little reason to even open it. I can see how some of their releases now are genuinely better than they used to be because the 3P/KO scene has forced Hasbro to try harder, but ER Prime still falls short compared to the other options.

Vangelus strikes me as a marmalade man.
It is a good figure, and I own it and love it. However, it does have flaws. The hitch 5mm port on the truck is too far forward. It needed to be directly over all four back wheels. That is where real truck's have their 5th wheel. It wouldn't jack-knife with the trailer when trying to do a 90 degree turn. But, that is the only flaw I have with the toy. It is the best Optimus I own.

My copy unfortunately doesn't roll very well (at least not nearly as well as Siege Prime) due to the pegged-in wheels...feels like they could have retooled the legs more to be more Earth-truck appropriate...Otherwise I love it ^^

My favourite part about ER Prime is that we now never have to do another G1 Prime ever again.
I'm kind of bummed that the Earthrise figures don't have much battle damage. The extra paint made Siege figures seem like a better value. That being said I might just pick up this Prime.
I’m pretty sure the point of Earthrise is to have a cleaner version of the “new” G1 figures. While obviously Siege is them during the war.

I think if this figure was just a voyager I would have kept it. The trailer is so intensely boring and pointless that it drags down the whole set. Mad props to studio series for having a trailer that actually added some value to the included figure. This figure is everything that's good about new G1 engineering and the trailer is everything that's bad about being faithful to G1 in the modern era.

@@deang5386 Thanks but it's not how it looks it's the fact that they can barely think of anything fun to do with it that hasn't been done over and over and over for 35 years now. Say what you will about the movieverse, but studio series leader prime's trailer is a million times more fun and interesting than this one's.

I wonder how the FansProject G3 trailer would look with this Optimus, and it it'd be feasible for someone to design an adapter for this Optimus to be able to pull it.
