Next time they meet at THe rented Athletics Track in the middle of nowhere they will have to give Millwall 5,000 tickets because, as you know, the Stadium holds 60,000 most of them about 3 miles from the pitch. The glorious and beautiful and brilliant Upton Park it ain't...
Best thing about european football and obviously British football is the awaydays. Even the 'smaller' clubs not in the Prem take thousands across the country to away games. Its part of the joys of being a football fan. Many prefer it to watching their home team if you asked people.

the guy with the corner flag, that was a symbolic gesture, in the early 90s the board at the time tried to introduce a ticketing scheme/scam called "the bonds scheme" , this left the fans furious and during one game a supporter placed the corner flag in the centre circle by way of protest ..... the guy who did this against burnley was trying to recreate that symbolic gesture .... you say there is no repercussion for the fans behaviour that day..... the guy who put the flag in the centre circle was banned for life from going to games

West Ham fans are the last working class ones
the 1at few clips were protests against the owners during a 3-0 defeat against burnley, this was all to do with a build up of months of anger against the board for moving the team to a new stadium that most fans didnt want to move to and a perception that the board were bleeding the club of its history and its finances ... demonstrations were planned against the board in the form of a peaceful march, this demonstration was pretty much cancelled at the last moment due to something political, this left many fans furious and with no way of venting, so ... the next home match, when we were losing 3-0 in what was an unacceptable perfomance, the crowd who were already furious at the cancellation of the march/demonstration just snapped and invaded the pitch and "surrounded" the directors box in protest

Also our fans reacted like that during the pitch invasion because we was trying to get a message across the board, a lot of fans havnt forgiven them for destroying our home stadium, but I must say, it has all worked out in the end.

I would like to mention that the first clips we were playing Burnley, the riots during the match wasn’t caused by the match but it didn’t help the matters. It was planned in advanced as we as a club keep trying to do to get rid of the owners.

Best day for West Ham my friend. We stood up to the board. And the flag has meaning, the guy was known as bubbles, his flag stand was something that happened against the bond scheme decades before. Fans are the life blood of a club, abd should be heard, when they aren't, thus should happen

Well, this is what you get when you become an emasculated Society unlike, as you rightly say, many parts of Europe and South America.
They can still stand at games creating the atmosphere that back in the day some grounds used to have. There is a 2-minute clip on here " Liverpool F C -The Kop Crowd" showing 28,000 behind ONE goal at THe Kop End all blokes singing and swaying.t may not be PC to say it but once Women and children come then the frenzy and passion dissipates and is so diluted it's almost disappeared altogether. Luckily I was on The Millwall Terraces from The 1960s and saw it all from Carlisle to Plymouth...lol
@@Isleofskye my dads from Liverpool and he used to tell me that back in the 70s all the older lads would help the kids get to the front of the KOP so they was also able to see the match aswell, and he also said everybody would just be jumping around singing for 90 minutes and it was a real good laugh apparently, I wish they could introduce something where every main stand in England could be a terrace or something.
