There are many brands and many Wireless Apple CarPlay Adapter on the market right now. Which one should you buy and which one is the best? In this video we are going to test few Wireless Apple CarPlay adapters by comparing them in terms of loading time, speed test and sound delays.

Maybe in time they will perfect it but for now the cable is fine for me as well also.
I tried Carlinkit 3.0, 4.0 and Feinodi. Even it has the cheapest price, the Feinodi works really well, no crash since day one and no sound laggy with my CRV 2021. Carlinkit devices have laggy sound and crash sometimes. Highly recommended Feinodi

Good video. But you should update each firmware and repeat the test. I heard firmware updates do wonders on these adapters in terms of speed and stability.

Great video! Exactly what i needed to know. Thank you for your tests! Also, there is a newer product from Quadlock, called Quadlock wireless carplay adapter. By the looks of it, overall build quality and the UI looks very nice but There arent any real reviews yet, so i was wondering if you have plans to review/test this unit. It would be great! 😊

I don't understand your way of rating these units. Did you give 7.5/10 to Carlinkit because it didn't show the album cover? I'm pretty sure the adapter has nothing to do with that.
It’s not because of the album cover and yes it has to do with the adapter as that was the only adapter that would show the player in a different way than the others. Also the score is calculated of the overall responsiveness of the unit. Since Carlinkit is the only adapter that supports both Android Auto and CarPlay might explain why is slower than the others.

Updating the adapters won’t improve performance, they have regular updates that will support newer cars. They might fix a bug or two but not the performance. If you see any changelogs that would mention faster times I would be surprised.

You timed the iPhone on its own differently, you stopped it on the Hyundai's home screen, where as the rest you didn't stop the timer until you got into the CarPlay screen
It’s not any different. In some instances the CarPlay won’t automatically launch, you have to manually tap the icon. As long as the icon becomes available CarPlay is loaded and ready. It would be the same timing if CarPlay would automatically launch.

GREAT video! My 2015 Chevy truck doesn't have Android Auto. Does this ADD Android Auto or just make the existing one wireless?

What is the transfer rate on the USB on the car in your demo? 2.0 or 3.0. That will likely make a difference.
Would be nice to know but I believe most of the car manufacturers would not mention. I Looked up for this Kia and the feature sheet or owner manual won't mention it.
I have a ford ka 2013 with wireless Bluetooth for calls but wired CarPlay to play Apple Music through a usb connection. I don’t actually have a touchscreen though, it’s just a radio. Would this still work? All I want is to be able to get into the car connect to my phone automatically to play music with no wires!

Instead of using Apple CarPlay via USB this device will connect via wifi. No mirroring options.

It will not, the usb port it’s not energized when the engine is off.

How did you manage to get the battery percentage in Apple Carplay? Mine doesn’t show the percentages.

Not a good buy. I purchased a T box and it never connects to CarPlay. I end up restarting the vehicle couple of times to connect. Also it gets disconnected frequently. Manufacturer is giving software updates which is not exactly helping. Steering wheel controls on Toyota Fortuner is also not compatible with this.

I think you did the test incorrectly, because when you turn on the product for the first time, it is extremely normal to take a certain amount of time for the first communication between the devices to take place, and the initial information exchanges. The correct thing is to configure them for the first time, and simulate as if you were getting into the car and turning on the multimedia center with these devices already configured, as this action will be repeated every day.
Each device was previously paired with the phone I was using prior testing. The simulation is like exactly like getting in the car and start driving. I am not sure what exactly you meant by that.

These don’t come with CZcams. I have a jailbroken iPhone and that’s why I am able to have CZcams.
