Marvelous! They say thoughts are things! I was just looking for something similar in the last few days from tutorials.
Great one, Simon.
II've been thinking how to do it many time. Thank you Simon. Now I'm gone a try it to do it in GN.🙏👍
Awesome stuff again simon
Kühl, Ich liebe auch Spiralen. Danke schön ^^
This is great. You can apply it to other objects too. The key, as you said, is to put the "tip" as the origin, so using the "set origin to 3d cursor" with the cursor at the location fixes issues with that. Thanks.
Awesome. Subscribed!

Great tutorial (a bit fast but just about managed to keep up with you :)) Any suggestions on making it a seamless animation?
you are amazing
Thanks man ! ^^
could i marry this to a volumetric shader somehow to make a spiraling plasma flame?
i dont know any of the shortcuts rip
hey for some reason its looking unswirled towards the center no matter what i do to the settings
Not sure if you still need this but if you're getting some kind of weird swirling towards the center, it's because the object origin is set to the center mass of the cylinder by default. To get the same swirling effect as you see in the video, you want to set the origin of the object to where the 3d cursor is.
why tutorial videos 60fps? i never understand this? you don't need 60fps? this is not 4k 60fps minecraft or gta 5 gameplay
yes this is 1 year ago but why?
how to make loop ?
Erindale has an awesome tutorial on how to make any noise loopable - check it out :)
