    Wow! So many of you having that issue. Sometimes the pros need to fix it, so you can carry on riding. You can loose a season to this, when you could have smiles; from hear to hear.

    I have an 05 cbr600rr with the same issue of not going past 12k rpm. I replaced the sparks but actually found out it was my battery that needed replaced. Make sure you check voltage on your guises battery before buying other parts!

    You should always verify your pressure (50 psi min) and flow (6.5oz min) before and after your fuel pump change.
    The final filter is inside the fuel pump housing and is NOT serviceable. If that gets full of rust and debris you're screwed. Replacing the pump won't help you. However, you can buy a brand new fuel pump housing under a Suzuki part number 15410-24FB0 for $30-40. It's the exact same part. The reason why Honda wants $400 is because they are selling you a complete unit. All you do is install your fuel gauge. Still way cheaper to order the fuel pump housing and fuel pump kit and still be under $200.

      ​@@illusiversx Honda says to dead head the pump by putting a 100 psi gauge on the bottom of the tank. But I installed the gauge inline with the fuel rail so I could see the actual fuel rail PSI. The older bikes had banjo bolts but somewhere around 2005-06 they switched to quick connectors for the fuel rail. So depending on what fittings your fuel gauge kit comes with you may have to buy some fittings to make it work.

      ​@@illusiversx On the flow test, you really should be getting twice the amount Honda shows for a minimum on clean filters. If the flow test is not well above the minimum consider replacing the fuel filter assembly. Especially if your tank has rust or ethanol damage. The PSI test should be 50-55 psi.
      Last tip: the 03-06 fuel pump assemblies have that white plastic piece. That's there to keep the pressure regulator from popping out of the housing. This happened to me while out test riding the bike not long after replacing the fuel pump. I now use a black zip-tie around the entire fuel pump housing that keeps the white plastic clip from coming loose. Bad things happen to good engines when fuel is cut in half.

    I had the same issue at some point. thought it was the fuel pump but it ended up being a warped piston.
    lol.. loved the battery popping

      Well that's not good...did u end up fixing it? If so how did it end up going? Ended up replacing my spark plugs shortly after the pump and haven't had a problem since but I will find out once I ride a little more

    Have same issue loss of power and stops at around 10-12k rpm depending on the gear had spark plugs replaced still same issue and after seeing this not sure if replacing the fuel pump is worth it

      As mentioned in the comments do a flow test of the fuel pump before replacing it. Without knowing how to test the fuel pump was the problem I was dumb and didn't look into it.

    So you were having problems with the bike like bogging down around 10k rpms? I have an 04 1000rr and I am having that issue rn so I am thinking of doing the fuel pump cause I hear that could be why.

      Yeah seems this problem could be like 10 different things and it's hard to pin point 1.

      The whole situation I explained at the end of the video was a one off thing and didn't happen after this. Don't know why it happened but bike runs amazing now with new fuel pump and spark plugs

    Hey dude, I’m having similar issues with my 07 cbr600rr. Have you tried wiring open your exhaust flap?

      The 04 cbr's don't have servos so there is not a possibility this is the case although I have heard this to be a problem on 3rd gen and up cbr's

      Once I changed Spark plugs it has ran great since. 2 of the plugs were loose for whatever reason so that's probably what was causing it

      As far as plans, I'm going to be changing Spark plugs out in a day or 2 (already had them so was planning on changing regardless). If that doesn't fix it I'll be cleaning out all the fuel injectors. Past that I'm not sure what else to check. I would say start with the cheapest option if u can't pin point where it's coming from. I would change the fuel pump unless you 100% know for sure it is. I kind of regret changing mine out of thinking it was

      Changed spark plugs and haven't had much of a problem since. I did notice one of the plugs was loose when Removing but since I put it back in not much of a problem

      Not sure how long the plugs were in. They seemed to be changed not too long before I bought it. I think the main issue is the plugs were finger loose. If I were u I'd check to see if there even tight before replacing them.
