    Any real rider, whether it be from a sportsbike to a cruiser, knows how utterly difficult it is to balance the bike. We all know it's easy to keep it going straight when riding, the real test is the slow race.

    @soujrnr Před 12 lety +14

    I never tire of watching this. It gives me something to strive for in my own riding skills! Slow speed skills are way underrated in my humble opinion but they are great in city traffic and even just at stop signs.

    I wonder how much of a role the rotating assembly of the engine plays in helping a rider to do that. Things that are spinning contribute a gyroscopic stabilizing effect like the wheels or flywheel.

    • @maguilar51
      @maguilar51 Před 2 lety

      it plays a lot. ive been practicing at gettign better at this. slipping the clutch and using the footbreak helps balance the bike a lot seems like the more you rev while slipping the clutch the easier it gets.

    I've riden both Harleys & sports bikes & dirt bikes This takes skill no matter what bike you're on. Police bikes don't have any wider tires than those on sports bikes what they do have is a lower center of gravity making it easier than a sports bike where your butt is 4' up in the air

    Its skill because she/he (cant tell lol) is holding up a 400 pound bike without putting their feet down and not even moving. You dont ride, but if you sat on a tiny bike and tried to pick ur feet up without moving you would fall and hurt yourself under a bike twice ur weight. This one even more than twice ur weight i said 400 but i think its actually more.

    I'd say the saddlebags might make it even harder to balance, since the weight is farther from the middle and thus has more impact on your balance. And you still only have 2 wheels...

  • @xxAAKKOSETxx
    @xxAAKKOSETxx Před 11 lety

    Yes, but I think that balancing is easier on that Harley. No I have not ever ridden one or tried it but I think it is. If you compare it to a sportsbike, the Harleys weight is distributed nicely on both sides of the bike, and the tires are a bit wider than a sportsbikes. On a sportsbike the weight is basically just on the same line as the tires, making it a bit more "wobbly"
