GRRM confirms that Barth got "much of it right" about dragons in his blog: georgerrmartin.com/notablog/2024/07/11/here-there-be-dragons-2/ Exact details coming in later books.
Also, notice how Caraxes in House of the Dragon has a very long neck almost like firewyrm? 🤯

Dragon Bonding and Warging seems like the same magic manifesting differently due to being on different sides of Planetos.

Indeed. Ice and fire::Warging and dragon bonds. Could it be the reason why Valyrians never invaded Westeros (before Targaryens) - because they were afraid the Westerosi will wargs into their dragons?

The shows seems to support the theory that the Singers (Children of the Forest) are the ones who taught their arts to the Valyrians.
We've seen that Valyrian steel has the same magical properties as dragonglass. The Singers helped the Last Hero to forge the dragonsteel blade with a blood sacrifice, a blade that can do the same thing as dragonglass.
So the Singers are most likely the ones who taught the Valyrians how to make that dragonsteel now known as Valyrian steel.
The Singers can also reshape stones with magic, like the Valyrians.
They can bond with animals with the skinchanging magic, like Valyrians bond with dragons.
Their greenseers can see events at long distances and contact people in their dreams through the weirwoods, the Valyrians can do that with the glass candles.
Glass candles made of obsidian, a glass that the Singers are well known to use.
Ryan Condal said that we should learn why the dragon keepers have obsidian daggers. He said that they craft those daggers as ritual in their formation, it's as important as a jedi making a lightsaber.
The Singers used to give obsidian daggers to the Night's Watch...
The Singers also lives in caves, they can see in the dark, in the same environnement as the Shadow Lands.
The Singers would have a part in the creation of the Others and the Dragonlords, they would have sang the song of ice and the song of fire.

Thank you for sharing this. I have always been fascinated with Children of the forest and if the show takes this direction, it would be very interesting. Nettles is also speculated by some fans to be one of the children of the forest and she bonded with Sheepstealer.
I really appreciate the time you spent writing this 🙏 Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

Wywerns don't have front paws. Their paws are wings. Dragons have 4 paws

Good catch about the wyvern. One more interesting fact: George RR Martin once stated in an interview that his dragons had to have only two legs and two wings, because it wasn't realistic for a vertibrate animal to have six limbs. But show depictions kept 4 limbs and 2 wings!

@nerdylore how ? The show is exactly what he said 4 limbs wings are their hands just like bats

@@nerdylore In the rest of Europe, dragons look different. two legs, four legs, wings and no wings. In the dark ages, people thought they could be real animals and were mostly depicted with two wings and two legs. Draco means snake and Wyvern is old english and only exists in england and means viper (snake). The term comes from heraldic and describes a specific depiction of a dragon. In the Mdark ages, dragons were also associated with poison rather than fire.
The four-legged dragon with wings comes from Beowulf or from Tolkien's The Hobbit (Smaug is a copy of the Beowulf dragon) and since he is the father of high fantasy, this depiction became so well known.
It was only the pen and paper role-playing game Dungan and Dragons that made different types of these two dragons and modern literature has continued to copy this.
