Excellent Review!! I have a Kona 1.6 Turbo. I cannot believe that this turbo uses regular fuel, has outstanding power and remarkable gas mileage. An incredible vehicle for the money...
Boy have the reviews and comments changed for this car in the past 2 years. For whatever reason it's no longer "polarizing". Love my Kona turbo, still looks and runs like new.
31 mpg is damn nice! Personally I like all the lights up front. The back lights are awesome! I think all cars should have separate turn signals. This one isolates the yellow signal in its own pod! Love it! If I was in the market I’d have one. 👍👍
It's a really nice car, Torsee. We think the lights up front look good, too. And the fact that the engine makes good power AND still gets over 30 mpg is nice, too. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, canonlybeme4life. There's the Hyundai Venue that is a direct platform mate, as well. While we didn't get an invite to either of those launches, hopefully we'll be able to check those out soon. As always, thanks for watching!
So do you recommend AWD or FWD for living in Michigan? AWD will cost me $1,000 & decrease mpg by 2 but is it worth it for the few times you actually need it? Thank you!
As long as the additional cost doesn't add a significant burden, we'd recommend getting AWD if you live in Michigan, Cindy Keselowski. The additional traction and peace of mind in poor weather would be worth it in our collective opinions. But ultimately, that's a decision you'd have to make, based upon your personal driving needs and how well/quickly your local municipality handles the snow. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
My son has one down under, however we do get a spare [usless really, tyre] Fortunately his has key start and 16 inch wheels, I have no time for pose value larger rims, and these potential problem making push button starts, Also his is the base naturally aspirated 2 litre engine . Not keen on tiny engines with turbo, his also has the 6 speed Torque converter trans not one of the fiddly DCT trans,. My main beef is the low front seats unlike the Tucson, When I get into one of these I want to sit UP not at sedan height. Otherwise Fantastic vehicle to drive. Adaptive cruise should be fitted, I think DAB came on the next model.
As you can tell from our review, we're really impressed with the Kona, john brown. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experience with the car. Thanks for watching!
Love it! So cool! Especially the Lime Green! BUT it's small in the back and im 30 and looking at having kids someday in the next 8 years that it's going to take me to finance or lease to own this thing. Going w a certified pre owned 2016-2018 Toyota Rav4 since they got 0% interest no payments 90 days right now with 0 down... Can't beat that.
The blue interior lights are very attractive in this Hyundai generation. I miss that in the VW line up. But Hyundai is FAR superior in reliability, so it's a No Brainer.
if it had the awd system how does it work? with a push of a button or turn of a dial? does the 2020 come standard with front and rear LED lights? how much does it cost?
It truly depends upon your needs, Crusader Light. The Tucson has more space so it might be more practical for some, but we like how the Kona drives better. That may not help much, but it's about all we've got. LOL. Thanks for watching!
Manufacturers tune their engines for different purposes, guildo comeau. Since the Elantra Sport is a sporty car, Hyundai reserved some extra power for that car. The average Kona buyer won't mind or even care, yet the Elantra Sport buyer will love the extra power, plus it allows that car to be more competitive on paper when compared to other sporty cars in its class. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Hyundai gives you more accessories in their vehicles for way less money than other popular vehicle manufacturers.
Sure do, aperxmim. Thanks for watching!

I have my 2020 Kona SEL , I switch out all the lights to LED, made the car look better at night then the factory head lights
Good review. The Kona is overall well rounded. The only thing I would change is the interior. I'd make it more interesting.
Thanks for watching, Mr. 2cents.!
I love the scientific technology the kona comes with and the feminine smaller detail
It's a great little car, Gerri Miller. Thanks for watching!
Just bought a Kona, last night, love it. Know I am going to enjoy it for a long time.

Great Review. This is a nice small CUV but the platform mate Kia Seltos is more appealing in my opinion

Good video! I like what you said about it having some personality. So many don't.
Thanks for watching, john reid!

I drove the Ultimate once. Loved it. Actually tried to buy it 4 times. To no avail. Bad credit. 😰
Sorry to hear that, Mr. 2cents. Keep working on that credit and thanks for watching!
I got the same color and trim. I call her Mona 😂
Ha! Congrats on Mona, Eric P, and thanks for watching!
Between a ultimate Kona and Tucson what would your pick be in terms of value for money and the whole package?
