I had the pleasure of seeing Tim Curry in the original version on stage live in London in 1973(?)....we knew it would be a monster hit. The show went along in the beginning. Tim made his entrance from the rear of the theatre. The lights spun from front to back, music came in loud, and there he was in alllllll his glory...it was magnificent! He strut down the aisle and took over!
Lol even in Home Alone 2 as a hotel employee he was brilliant. Many would be forgettable (aside from the "only the finest in New York" line) in such a role, but nay, not Tim Curry! He (probably) declared "I shall take this little part and outshine anyone who appears on screen with me!"
There is one role he was asked to do but he wasn't meant for it. He was actually meant to be the Joker in Batman the Animated Series. After a full episode or two, I can't remember, they went with Mark Hamill and we have the best Joker to ever exist.
Did you see Home Alone 2? Yeah, I know. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 However, there was 1 scene done soooo brilliantly. I don't know how many people could pull it off but TC did it flawlessly: TC is the concierge and trying to get Kevin out of his hotel. He checks Kevin's credit card on file and sees that there's been a hold on the card.... which makes him happy. Cut to Kevin watching the Grinch who just let out a HUGE CROOKED smile..... which they morph into TC's face who is making an equally huge crooked smile. I know it's just 1 tiny scene in a rather "questionable" movie but Tim did it soooooo well!!!

. I absolutely loved clue. Watching so many times I memorized every line it's still cracks me up. And if you have a chance to find his albums go for it three of them I believe in them when I moved I had to get rid of them which killed me. His version of anyone who had a heart is my favorite

He is so damn good in this role. It broke my heart when I saw him in a wheelchair. May he always be surrounded by loved ones who truly love and care for him always. ❤️

Eh… kinda. There were all kinds of crazy things coming out in the 70’s. That was hippie/disco era remember. Frank Zappa, Captain Beefhart and his Magic Band, the musical Hair, Godspell…. I could go on and on. Art was wild back then.

I used to go and see R.H.P.S. each Friday night back on Long Island in the late 70s and early 80s. Absolutely fun times. I remember the very 1st time, standing in the men's room at a urinal with a Dr frankenfurter lookalike. Something you never forget, lol.

Tim Curry…so amazing….if you are a real fan of his work and have not seen the movie “Legend”….he plays Darkness and his performance is absolutely stunning. The entire movie is filled with gorgeous imagery.
That was one great movie. Your right it was filled with gorgeous imagery. I love the dancing wedding dress scene, if only my cloths would put themselves on me like in the movie.lol.

Neverending Story was one of my favorite as a kid back in the 80s along with Labrynth, Bowie as Goblin King was almost as hot as Dr. Frank.

I used to go and see R.H.P.S. each Friday night back on Long Island in the late 70s and early 80s. Absolutely fun times. I remember the very 1st time, standing in the men's room at a urinal with a Dr frankenfurter lookalike. Something you never forget, lol.
