Rudy, you might want to add B and C pillar supports for your cage, as well as a side to side triangulated cross brace so it doesn't just fold over like a taco if it rolls. When I built my XJ cage, I did the upper halo, the A pillar support through the fenders like you did, then B and C pillar supports through the cab to the floor and then tied to the frame. I also added a side to side cross brace to the two C pillar tubes coming through the cab. I plan on adding one to the B pillar as well.

I got a glimpse of that roll cage in another one of your guys videos and thought it would be interesting to see how you put it together. So far so good Rudi. We'll keep watching your chanel.

Your cage looks great. Consider tying the roof bar into a harness bar behind the front seats. Maybe add a piece of 2x4 from your frame rail to the slider as a harness bar mount through the floor. Would give you a secure place to attach some harnesses as well as shoring up the middle of the roof bars. I love the look though. Very nice.

I'd also recommend tying the back end into the chassis or whatnot too, to give it the extra rigidity

Bravo Rudy-I like the vibe of your channel: nice music selections, appropriate time lapses, and you are a natural in front of the camera which is challenging when solo. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✌🏻

step by step exterior roll cage build
cutting, bending, notching to fitment and then final weld a great job is performed!
Yaw is bound to have changed with all the high weight / center of gravity, but for much greater increased roll over protection, it's a solid trade off
    great job Rudy!

Awesome fabrication work Rudy! I love how that roof rack turned out on the Rudicon. Looking forward to future episodes to see what you build next

This is epic. I am capable of building things myself, but it is quite humbling and inspiring to watch someone at your level fabricate.
"I don't have the ideal tool, but I do have this angle grinder with a flap disc" was highly relatable.

DUDE. Watching your video where you were testing the Rudicon. You stopped at Mavericks which we don't have here. But in the background we seen a FRICKEN Sinclair with the dinosaur. MAN, I haven't seen one of them since I was a kid. You made my day!!!!

For those that don't remember or didn't know, Rudy had a fairly good fabricating gig going when MORR started - made ATM machine frames, among other things, if I remember correctly.

Love what you're doing with 1/2 Dun! I think those front shock protruding mounts are badass. What your doing now with the roll bar and sunroof compliments the beefy shock mounts. I think for paint if you purposely give 1/2 Dun a rusted patina look it would definitely be Mad Maxx inspired beast. Interested in seeing what your vision will look like Cool channel
