LANDED MY FIRST KICKFLIP TODAY!! FIVE TIMES!! ❤
I’m 23, can do a late flip, tre flip, and heel flip.
Still haven’t committed to kick flip. I didn’t realize the flick up motion helped more. Hope this works 😩
wth
That’s what I’m saying. Nobody that skates with me understands it
Nice to hear that im not the only one with that Problem 😂
Update?
I think I may be da same 😶
Been a month since I started skating, and because of these videos, I learned how to Okie, strawberry milkshake, and other beginner tricks because of you. I really appreciate your guidance for teaching me how to do all these tricks, and I can’t wait to finally land a kickflip. Thank you very much!
Wow so sick! Post your progression videos and inspire others
I'm 27. Haven't tried to skate or do any tricks pretty much since I was 16. Learned to how to do a kickflip better than I ever could when I was younger, in one hour, using these tips (especially bending the back leg) and used my own trick or placing my front wheels of some grass and my back wheels on the cement. Also taking breaks when I got stuck in my head ( kinda like learning guitar) . Moved to both wheels on the cement after I landed it a few times and then bam. I can land a kickflip sometimes now :p can't wait to get consistent with landing it. Shouts out to my fellow skaters who feel too old to get back into skating. It's not too late!
Brother I feel this! I just picked up a board for the first time in 10 years to take skating serious again. Im now 29 with an injured back but Aaron Kyro has inspired to go get back at it. I watched him take on vert and I was like "I'd love to get to that stage". So now I have a few decks setup and have been going frequently. Will definitely try this method out tomorrow sometime. I wish Braille was in Houston because I've always wanted to work with skateboards in some fashion.
@ryanthomas1153 there must be an international midlife crisis going on because I'm 29 and just bought my first board again since I was probably 17 or 18. I thought I'd hop right back on... anyways now I'm here🤣
I'm just getting back on after a 25 year hiatus. It's humbling to relearn kickflips which I had at 99% reliability when I was 16. 48 now.
Dudes, 27-29 is not old lmao.
@@Mrgigawatt how old are you
Used to be able to kick flip consistently back in the day, got in a car accident a few years ago and got screws in my left ankle and knee. Decided to pick up skateboarding again with the pandemic, and the kick flip motion is the hardest thing for me to get down again. Definitely going to try this out.
Did u get it
Yo i'm a 45 year old welder from New Zealand and you've got me Hyped !!! to learn to kickflip !!!!!!!!
I’ve been skating for two months and finally dropped in on the half and my ollies are getting there. I love this channel 🤗🤍 kickflip coming 2022🙏
Did you do it
I want to thank you so much I started skating when I was ten and I was learning very quickly until it came to the kickflip. After over a year of not being able to kickflip and watching tons and tons of tutorials including most of your tutorials. After over a year of not being able to I stopped skating. Now being 14 and watching this video and watching Street Dreams and flicking I went out the next day(today) and after around an hour, I can kickflip. I have so much love for you guys, and thank you so much.
Just landed my 1st Kickflip! I love you Aaron. I'm 40 years old and I knew nothing before I bought skateboarding made simple. I have to land a heelflip to complete sms vol 1. This was the best and simplest tutorial on kickflip
Just two days ago i made it my goal for 2022 to land a kickflip and here ya'll go and give me the tools to make that goal possible! Thanks Braille team
Same!!
Did u land it
this was actually really helpful! I didn’t know you bent your back leg rather than jumping. I’ll let you guys know when I land my first one :)
Same I had problems getting my back foot up
@@ethank5951 Yeah me too
Did you land it
Does that work with Ollie's too?
@@grotesquegod91 to me, I picture my ollies as a ‘ninja kick’. I would practice jumping like this a few times, then try your ollie!
You guys have all my respect you guys inspired so many people
I DID IT, I landed my kickflip!! Thank you Arron!😃
THANK YOU SO MUCH
I watched your video after 3 weeks of no success. But when I tried your method I nailed it in a few hours!!!!! So hyped I just landed my first few kicks flips.
Thank you Braille team.
I'm 30 and I just landed my first TWO kickflips after finally actually paying attention to this video. 🎉🎉🎉 Thanks Aaron for making skateboarding accessible to more people!
Thank you so much this was very helpful
Much love to Aaron ❤️

Ok I am now going out at 9:22 AM to land my kickflip

Awesome!!!!
@@brailleskateboarding wow I did not expect you to respond to that…
Never leave the best teacher. Repeat and repeat. Thank to Aaron kyro
This has been my goal for 2021. For me the main thing was fully commiting to landing it. I'm proud to say I've now been landing multiple kickflips everyday this month of December. I'll put a clip up on my channel if you want to see me land a kickflip. All your tutorials video have been a huge help. Thank you for all the tips
Is the ankle flick up after your foot comes off the board a conscious thing or not really?
Ive been skating for months now and have watched tons of different videos even yours. I finally landed my first kickflip but it took time and practice. Probably one of the most satisfying things ive done. Thx so much for the help.
That is awesome!
Aaron this video is the best of yours tutorials!
I rlly needed this tutorial thx 😊🙏
Been kickflipping for like 10+ years but still learned something new from the great AK! Great video guys!
This helped me so much!!!!! Thanks Aaron ❤️❤️
Just did my first kick flip thanks to the flick up tip. Thank you so much!
needed this today! :)

Excelente informacion!! Gracias
This really helped me a lot understanding into detail how you do a kickflip. I appreciate it 😄
Great to see A.K back at it! Supplying these inspirational videos....I learned to kickflip 25 years ago, but this is great! Wish we had these videos back before CZcams existed 🤣
I've been having SOOO MUCH trouble with kick flips lately so when I seen this drop, I CLICKED SOOO FAST XD!!!
Aug 14, no kickflip... been trying for a while but keep flicking down. Gonna go try this.
Edit 1: I was out for a while practicing with the flick tip and I saw the most improvement from trying an ollie from behind the front bolts and adding a flick. Now I just have to get both feet on there.
Edit 2: Aug 15, just landed first kickflip!!!! Was a little sketchy, but that practicing step helped build that muscle memory. Thanks!
So all the steps of SMS
@@brailleskateboarding Hey braille, I've done all the other tricks in sms (if that's what you're asking)
Me and my friend were in my room, editing something for school, and then I was just messing around. I almost landed it I tried again, and I actually landed it. Thank you so much braille skateboarding, and everyone out there who has helped me❤
Braille Skateboarding on a mission, your 10 ep bootcamp video series are amazing! Please don't stop teaching!
Cause of really bads back problems I can't skate anymore. Now I'm into Kendama and still applying Aaron Kyro's learning rules!
Step by step, practice daily!
I also learned card magic / cardistry this way!
Thanks for all the hard work and inspiration to all Braille Skateboarding staff!
Been trying kickflips for days but couldn’t get them right because I was flicking down, watched this video yesterday and spent the day fixing my flick. Landed my first one today!!! Thank you 🙏
You guys rock. Thanks for making skateboarding so accessible. I’ve been trying to kick flip since 2007 and I haven’t seen dances with wolves, so I’ll leave a comment after I’ve done so.
I think Braille deserves a massive thanks!
Aaron I literally love you. Bro I’m on day 2 and already on the commitment part. The rotation is there and all I need to do is just land it. I did have to go to the grass but I can’t believe the flick is already there after 2 days. Imma edit this comment when I finally land it.
Edit: I landed my first kickflip on day 3. Ofc when I say “Day 3” I honestly mean like it took me 10-12hrs total. Went to a park at 8pm and landed it at 10:30pm. I landed it on the grass but I landed with my body turned so I stayed till 11pm to get a perfect landing which I did. I literally never thought I could do it. Now all I gotta do is do it on pavement and roll away. Half way there. I’m making a short vid for you Aaron just so you can see somewhat of the happiness/pain on my face when I first landed it.
It will happen fine if you feel balanced and comfort while cruising in the set up position.
You’ve inspired me.
@@ZeeNoodle I still haven’t landed it while rolling. It’s so hard.
@@SM1-1048have u landed it yet
@@RayGunnerGaming not while rolling :/ I’ve been lacking ain’t gonna lie. But it’s summer time so it’s the best time to practice. So ya only stationary I’ve landednit
It's a jump, not for height, but more to suspend your upper body while you tuck your legs up. It's in the wind up, you crouch down, bend your knees and keep your shoulders over the board. Then jump off both feet and lift your front foot first for ollie tricks. If you don't wind up and jump, you wont have time and you will fall on your board because gravity is a constant force pulling us earthlings to the ground, Aaron.
imma try this thanks aaron 🙏
Hello, I'm 31 years old and I got it for the first time! It's a brutal feeling! I had exactly 1 month to get it right. Thanks Braille Team!!!!
Guys please make more street skating vids
Ive been having a hard time to do the flick and this is a great tutorial for the half steps i needed. Thanks!
You're so welcome!
Thank you Aaron 🙏
Just watched this video yesterday. Trying the technique while watching the film. I will come back in a few days and tell you guys when I landed one!
i actually starting training the motion while watching this video
I can already kickflip but I’m having trouble with perfecting it.
Dancing with Wolfs is really a great film, thank you!
I sometimes just watch this videos to see the iconic Arron Kyro kickflip. It is so smooth and triggers immediate inner peace.
Did 300 attempts last night. Still don't have it, but I will not quit until I can land this. It is my goal to do it before I turned 41 next February!
Update?
Right after I learned how to Ollie I watched this and it took me 6 minutes
Wow 🤩 ❤️
liar
Wow I've got my ollie's down for years am able to Ollie over most objects yet I cant kickflip ima try the first option and watch some yt while doing the motion
@@hshsbsbdhdbebsb4859 it's possible sooo
Wow thanks man I learned so much
Thank you!!!!! I am going to try this I have a problem with flicking down
I just cant get out of the habit of stepping my back foot off
You just gotta jump with the board all at once as soon as your foot is half way through that slide up the front corner of the board
@@janderlaurencio1042 i know all of that but it is built into my muscle memory just like arons ankle movement
@@lplonergan I get you it’s tough but once you get it’ll feel nice
@@janderlaurencio1042 yeah i know
7:17 I have the same problem that Lance is having in that clip. When I do it flat without rolling it seems like it grips too much and the board just goes flying forward
I have this problem too sometimes when I’m trying. I find that when I angle my foot a little more it helps that not happen. Never landed one, but when I’m trying and that happens it helps to angle my foot a little more and put the tip of my shoe lined up with the furthest bolts.
@@MrYourname93 thanks I’ll try it out. I also have brand new shoes and a brand new board so maybe just needs some breaking in
whenever i have thus problem, im usually leaning too far forward OR not popping hard enough so i either lean abit more back or pop harder. i think the problen comes from flicking before the board properly pops(basically top early) so popping abit harder or leaning abit back usually helps me get the pop faster but you could also try flicking abit later. it all depends on the person so just experiment and find what works for u goodluck!
cant wait to try it after school!
I've been skating for my whole life and have never been able to consistently kickflip but you just broke this down perfect . Imma go out and try this and get that locked in
I’ve never landed a kick flip
You can! Believe!
@@brailleskateboardingAfter months of practice, I finally can kickflip! Thank you!
Always love the lance clips!
It helped. Thank you so much!
This is a great clip! The camera is great, the explanation and demonstration and slow motion are great!

I havent been skating for a couple years now ,I use to be able to do so many tricks, I have not landed my kickflip but this method is making my it easier.
Love you never made sense to me until I realized I was pushing down 🤯🤯🤯 landed this trick after skating for many years thank you thank you thank you 🙏
This is gonna be my new go-to channel for tutorials, not only is it useful and informative, but this guy is also so freakin funny. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I landed a kick flip today after resuming my progress last week! The part I actually struggled with the most was keeping my board under me but with momentum I feel it will be less of a problem.
Watching this on Dec 23, gonna try as soon as get off work. ty kyro
Can't do it yet, I've watched the video, gonna try this while doing homework. Thanks Braille :)
Braille!! Thanks for your videos, i got the ollie, and now i want to learn kickflip and pop shove it!!!🔥💗

Love your vids i started 2weeks ago with skate and i can already a Ollie because of your olie video 1 and 2
Thanks for the tips
I haven’t even attempted a kick-flip before I watched this vid, it helped me a lot on my journey to landing one
OH MY GOSH THIS HELPED SO MUCH
it only took me 45 minutes to land my first kick flip (thanks so much Aaron)
Thanks Aaron kyro I love this video and i finally landed it
im 30 now but i still got landing a kickflip on my bucket list. I learned to ollie as a kid but then never stepped on a skateboard for 20 years. got back around to it, skating now for 2 months, got (ok-ish) ollies, shov its and landed my first backside 180 yesterday (!). Im working on the kickflip lately i thought flicking down is important, so glad i came across this video. Im going back to square one and do the movie practice thing now
Love your vids this one helped me do my first ever kick flip inside my living room lol
I’m sick right now so I can’t go out but I will try of course thanks Aaron you are my favorite skater 💖😁
I started skateboarding 2 weeks back and i progressed at doing ollies and drop ins , so I now i started to do kickflips. I landed my first one yesterday.
Technically I've been skating on and off for like 5 years now (mostly off) I got the ollie down and slowly started getting on my board less and less. The braile team and their videos inspire me to continue learning, and with these videos, Im not intimidated by the kickflip anymore.
thanks for the help legend
This helped so much thank you I landed the kickflip 2 hours after I wacthed this video so ty a lot!
That idea of practicing the flicking motion while watching a movie is awesome. I am one of those I get a few then loose it people. It’s totally because I don’t skate every day. I’d totally love to but my family has these terrible habits. They like to eat and they love their house. So, I have to work (lol) and sometimes (rather most times) I just get home too late. But when I get home on time I have a deal with myself to skate for at least 45 minutes. On the weekends when I’m not working, I usually get in at least 2 hours a day if not more depending on what my wife has planned for us. But enough about my work schedule. Thank you for the great tips. They are really practical. I honestly feel like I might be able to get it more consistent if I follow them. Thank you bro. You’re the man.
This is the best tutorial for a kick flip I’ve ever seen
nailed it. The practice of landing one foot and it being the front foot is right on. Keep that foot above the board.
Yes awesome! Send in video on success page Braille website community page
Thank you so much im so close to landing it. Thanks again.
Never landed and I'm looking forward to the learn
