I was interested in buying the gti but instead went with the new 23 integra. I actually regret it now but I have read about a lot of people having issues with the new gti and the radiator coming loose from the factory and blowing the hose.
I haven’t had a single issue “knock on wood” with my GTI yet and I have about 2000 miles on it. The new integra I feel is a name plate issue if they hadn’t called it an integra I think it would have done better. I think they instilled false expectations with it being called an integra at least from what I’ve seen, it seems like an amazing car but it’s not the integra built for enthusiasts it’s an integra built for a more “mature” audience if that makes sense.
Awesome car. Great choice. Mine is coming this week 2022 GTi S with DSG in King's red color. I wish VW equipped the S model with performance tires. So much potential in this engine and chassis is wasted with allseason tires . It is not a coincidence that CAR and Driver magazine gave it 10/10 score.
@@octane_media Hopefully and if the price is right , we can retrofit IQ Matrix LED from Autobahn to our cars. It might require coding and reprogramming though.
@@genderlessyoutubefanperson I almost don’t think it would require coding beside the sequential turns just because they are both an led system but only time will tell !
That wasn’t the idea to begin with when we got the Audi but I wasn’t a huge fan of the way the A4 handled so when this came up I already knew I had loved the way the GTI in the past had handled and with the Mk8 being a stiffer version of the Mk7 chassis I knew I’d love it !
@@octane_media congrats, great call. The MK8 looks like an awesome daily. A4 is too firm to be a luxury car. But also leans too much to take corners like a sports car.
What? You can get the Golf 8 GTI with those sticks on the Radio? Crazy... in Germany this option isnt even available.. but the Radio is way bigger here

I have absolutely loved the car so far I’ve had it for a week and don’t have any complaints really other than I wish I had the IQ headlights!

Yeah ! You can only get it in the states with the base option , the Se and Autobahn don’t have that option because they have the bigger interface.
