In this video, I talked about the future of jobs. We are hearing about how many jobs AI will replace by 2030. And also what jobs AI can never replace and so on. IT jobs have been at risk because of these new-age technologies such as AI and ML. World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2023 gives us a glimpse into what the future of jobs is going to be like. The report talks about how many jobs will be gone in the upcoming years and it comes down to a net reduction of 14 Million jobs.
WEF Future of jobs report is important to understand what are the emerging industries and where most of the new jobs are coming from. The WEF Future of Jobs Report 2023 also gives us an idea about how the current jobs are being impacted. If you are wondering if will AI take away jobs or how many jobs AI will replace by 2030 then this report will be of great help to you. The future of jobs in India depends on the future of jobs worldwide so you can be sure that these emerging industries and the future of AI will impact your role as well.
Thinking of what jobs are safe from AI, we need to look at the emerging industries in which a lot of work has not been done and the available data is scarce. The first such industry is sustainability. No matter which domain you work in right now, sustainability is going to come into the picture somewhere down the line for sure. If you want to know what jobs will AI take first then be assured that it won’t be the jobs in the emerging industries. Future of Jobs Report 2023 makes it clear that new jobs will emerge in the sustainability domain as more companies move towards claiming sustainability practices-based tax cuts.
It is uncertain how many jobs AI will replace but jobs AI will replace in India can be predicted. It will depend on how the world moves towards these emerging industries. Another emerging industry is the Electric Vehicles or EV industry. It doesn’t have a lot of experts or professionals. To upskill in sustainability you can focus on reading more about the field but there are no courses I can recommend to you at this point. The second thing you can do is talk to people who are currently in the sustainability space.
How are the present jobs changing? To a great extent, the present jobs are changing because of AI and ML. Example of consulting where I have a lot of background can explain this to you. Earlier management consultants used to sit down and do data analysis on the client side to come up with better recommendations. Now this data analysis is itself becoming a product. The data logic can be uploaded on the cloud and you will get the answers directly.
Among jobs that AI will take away the job of customer representative is going to become obsolete. This is because the Large Language Model based AI chatbots can have structured or unstructured conversations with the clients. Data entry roles and website creation can go out. The next thing is that there will be fewer jobs in the market moving forward. So, you need to constantly upskill. Just don’t rely on one skill.

F*ck corporate jobs; upskilling ,reskilling ,multiskilling it never ends! I'll become a farmer and live a minimalistic life
that’s a great choice
So u think farming is easier than corporate job?
Farming is even tougher mate! Don't underestimate it.
positive would be - you can eat healthy food and breathe fresh air!!
@@PavanSathiraju forget about it being tough or easy ..think about their troubles when there are droughts or natural calamities, you won't get the market price even after one year of struggles. Why do u think a lot of farmers commit suicides ? Buddy corporate jobs are easy 😂 if you are fired in one job ,you can get another ,there are tones of companies,be in the demanding tech stack,u may be living in a tier city with above average lifestyle. 😀All the best ,be happy

Instead of thinking if we will lose our jobs to AI, we should focus on adding a second or third source of income using AI to do your job.

Pavan,
Traveling to office isn't sustainable.
If a work can be done from home then it should be done from home.
Employees can save on traveling time and cost while spending it somewhere else.

Time cost and most importantly energy
Yes, up skilling is the right approach for guarenteed growth, thanks Pavan
Change in mind set trigger. Well covered on Sustainability.
Very nice shri. Namaskaaram😊🎉💐जय सीताराम।
HI Pavan, Thanks a lot for wonderful insights and guidance. as mentioned by you , having a set of primary & secondary skills seems to be having advantage but in real job market seldom we see jobs matching such criteria. Taking your example of a Project manager with secondary technical skills seem to be very much sought after, but people prefer a pure Project manager or a Technical manager but not a person having both skill sets.. I may be wrong in my assumptions, but personally a i saw strong technical person with failrly good Project/Product management skills is not that much high in demand than a regular tech lead and Project managers, ...Please share some more light here.. Thanks in advance,
So is it a bad time for people looking to switch into investment banking? Or finance roles in general. I'm a computer engineer with data analyst skillset and looking to get CFA certification in the coming 2 years.
Hi Pavan, I completely resonate with you on the jobs that are at risk with the advent of AI/ML. I have been in Healthcare IT consulting industry for about 5 years now which has limited or no scope of growth or up skilling. Hence, I decided to change my domain and developed my interest in the field of cybersecurity. I started networking with experts on Linkedin and sought guidance and resources to start learning besides my day to day survival job. However, I still feel this wouldn't be sufficient enough when you are planning to transition into a new career. Please advice
He himself couldn't survive in corporate job and has resorted to creating videos for his livelihood. These days people who can't do the job coach others to do the job. Irony. CZcams is filled with such people - Coaching - life coach/business coach/ career coach/book writing coach/fitness coach/ . Scamsters everywhere.,
@@user-jl4xd2sl1n i agree with you about a sudden boom in 'online coaching', but Pavan's content stands out. In parallel to running a managment upskilling program, he's putting out well researched videos and insights of the corporate world to the public. The topics he touches upon have been industry secrets hidden in plainsight. The corporate culture thrives by keeping the employees in the dark, because an employee is expected to work like a machine and not ask questions. I have never seen any CZcamsr, who's this qualified to speak on such topics. He's not saying that everyone should leave the corporate world, he's just presenting you with facts so that you can take a calculated decision. And not be at the mercy of the employers. He's literally helping reduce the gap in owner--employee mindset, how is that a scam?

A potential shift in the future of work, with a decline in traditional employment and a rise in investor-driven automation.
Thanks Pavan. Can you please tell what upskilling we should do if we are not interested in coding and have more than 5 years of experience in IT.

Sir, at 8:32 you mentioned that younger folks can replace experienced folks in the IT project management space. However, on various job postings, I have seen that atleast 5-6 yrs of experience (includes pm skills and domain knowledge) are required necessarily. So, how the senior folks are going to be replaced? Atleast I do not see that way. What do you think?
Thank you

According to your video and as the AI is getting enhanced, there are more than 90% chances that Customer Service profiles will be gone from the market.
Me, holding 1.5 years of experience in Customer Service would like to ask how do I transition my career into Finance field?
I’m trying to transition my career from months now with no success rate. Nobody wants a fresher now, every employer is looking for experienced guys in the particular fields.
If you could help me, it would be a great help then.
My suggestion would be get an internship for about 6 months gain experience, then transition to other field, if you are able to get paid internship even better
@@rutuldhote1489 do internship experience counts for freshers in getting jobs that require experience?
@@vinayak9448 I shouldn't be telling you this but what I am about to tell you can get you placed way quicker,
Do jnternship to gain some real experience and then attach fake experience of maybe 1.5 to 2 years, this way you wouldn't have any of those problem's that freshers face, many consultancies in your respective city do offer fake experience cus nobody is hiring freshers in today's job market, so that interenship experience can help you land a good high paying job up front quickly, just don't apply for any big MNC's

Sir what about Academic TEACHERS JOBS....????
gone with the wind
@@NishantSharma-tr6xl please explain..
In the future, AI is poised to revolutionize teaching, surpassing human educators in effectiveness. AI's ability to learn thousands, and potentially millions, of times faster than the average human promises unparalleled advancements in education. The rapid adaptability and personalized learning experiences offered by AI could reshape the way we acquire knowledge. As AI continues to evolve, it has the potential not only to enhance the efficiency of teaching but also to tailor education to individual needs, unlocking a new era of learning possibilities.
In India, most of the schools are run by politicians and given the slow adoption of technology, it might take a while before AI can completely take over the teaching jobs.
