Wham! Play Final Concert at Wembley Stadium (1986) | Music Through the Ages

On 28 June 1986, thousands of fans of pop sensation Wham! descended on London's Wembley Stadium for the duo's historic final concert. ITN spoke to George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley backstage, their pair giving a message of thanks to all Wham! fans for their support over the years. A question about the break-up caused Ridgeley to pretend to lunge for Michael's throat, revealing something of a good-humoured but nevertheless real difference of feeling between the pair about the decision to split.
A documentary about the era-defining duo is set to be released on Netflix on 5th July 2023. The feature-length programme will see George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley recount and relive their Wham! years through archival interviews and footage.
