Its never a confusion to follow Muhammad SAWW. Its not about ALI VS Muhammad SAWW, its about ALI VS ABU BAKAR, USMAN & UMAR.
Please remember, that the Aayat e mubahila and khutba e ghadeer e khum clearly testify Mola Ali and the Ahl e bait, clarifies all doubts about the importance of Mola Ali and his family.
On the other hand Sahaba R. A and the Ashra e mubashara have their own significance.
There is no comparison whatsoever but please understand that the family of the Prophet ﷺ, remains the family until and beyond the judgement.
Everyone is supposed to comprehend the significance of the family everyone including Sahaba at that time understood and were well aware, it's just the post khilafat e Rashida era who went astray.

I don't know about where u have heard that shias don't say mola to rasulAllah but I am a practicing shia and we always heard in our homes and majalis about the beloved of Allah which is Rasul Allah saww it's a wrong concept that people think that we by pass Nabi e Kareem this can never happen it's not Deen.

ایسا نہیں ہے شعیہ سنی کی بات نہیں کربلا کے بعد یا حسینی ہیں یا یزیدی اب یہ دیکھنا ہے کہ آپ کس کیمپ میں ہیں اور آپ کا یہ بیان کہ شعیہ مولا علی ع کی طرف زیادہ رجحان رکھتے ہیں اور آقا علیہ سلام کی طرف کم تو قابل احترام آپ کی کمُ علمی ہے رسول خُدا کی طرف جانے والا دروازہ مولا علی ع سے گزر کے جاتا ہے آپ علیہ سلام ہیں تو اہلبیت ع ہیں

اسلام علیکم ، بھائی آپ نے جو بات کی ہے آخر میں کہ شیعہ حضرات نبی پاک کو مولا نہیں کہتے ۔ اس کے لیئے آپ علامہ شہنشا حسین نقوی کی مجالس سنیں وہ نبی پاک کو بھی مولا نبی کہ کر ہی پکارتے ہیں ، باقی رہی آپ کی حدیث کی وضاحت اس میں کئی چیزیں ایسی ہیں جو شاید آپ کو معلوم ہو کہ نبی پاک نے یہ اسلیئے فرمایا کیوں کہ مولا علی سے کئی لوگ بغض رکھتے تھے جو کہ آپ کو معلوم ہی ہوگا کہ نبی پاک کی رحلت کے بعد کس کس نے مولا علی سے جنگیں کی ہیں۔ تو اسلیئے جو لوگ نبی سے زیادہ علی کی طرف دیکھتے ہیں وہ اسلیئے کیوں کہ نبی پاک نے خود ایسا کرنے کے لئیے فرمایا۔ اب وہ آپ کی مرضی ہے کہ مولا کا مطلب دوست لیں یا سر برہ کا۔

Leave the ajar thing to Allah, what is not your area of decision, stop giving opinion on those matters
Ali is Maula for those who accept Aaqa ﷺ as Maula, not for others.
