Travis Bio:
After collaborating with Young Thug and J. Cole on 2019's "The London" and being featured on Ed Sheeran's "Antisocial," Scott issued his own solo single, "Highest in the Room." JackBoys, a brief compilation showcasing artists from Scott's Cactus Jack Records label, appeared at the end of the year. The release subsequently became the first number one album of the 2020s. Another Young Thug collaboration, "Franchise," also featuring M.I.A., debuted in September 2020 on top of the Billboard 200.
In January 2021, Spanish DJ HVME released a deep house reworking of Scott and Kendrick Lamar's song "Goosebumps," eventually topping Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart. Two more tracks appeared that November, with both "Escape Plan" and "Mafia" arriving concurrently and hitting the Top Ten of Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
On November 5, 2021, there was a fatal crowd crush during Scott's performance at his third annual Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas. The event resulted in the death of 10 people with over 300 being treated for injuries. The rapper apologized and the rest of the festival was canceled. Scott and others involved in the festival were investigated, though a Texas grand jury ultimately declined to indict them.
Heroes & Villains
In May 2022, Scott performed at the Billboard Music Awards, his first live appearance since the Astroworld festival tragedy. He also contributed to four tracks on Metro Boomin's Heroes & Villains album. In July 2023, he released his fourth studio album, UTOPIA. An ambitious, genre-crossing concept album in the vein of Kanye West's Yeezus, it featured a bevy of producers, including Scott, James Blake, WondaGurl, and others. Also featured were many guests, such as Bad Bunny and the Weeknd on the lead single, "K-pop," and Beyoncé and Bon Iver on "Delresto (Echoes)."
Leading up to his third LP, Scott was featured on a slew of tracks, including platinum singles headlined by SZA ("Love Galore"), Drake ("Portland"), Miguel ("Sky Walker"), 2 Chainz ("4 AM"), and Trippie Redd ("Dark Knight Dummo"). Scott's own "Butterfly Effect" arrived during this torrent of hits in May 2017 and promptly went platinum as well. Seven months later, Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho, a collaborative full-length with Quavo, entered the Billboard 200 at number three. The following May, Scott released "Watch," a non-album track featuring Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert, and within three months released Astroworld, which he considered the true follow-up to Rodeo. Featuring "Butterfly Effect," the album -- named after a demolished Houston amusement park -- debuted at number one and was supported with a second single, "Sicko Mode." Scott closed out 2018 by appearing on multiple tracks of Metro Boomin's Not All Heroes Wear Capes album.

Hey fam great videos! Absolutely my fav channel & I share w everyone I know, but u rlly gotta stop making silly
Faces on the thumbnail like CZcamsrs who exaggerate reactions for clicks. Those dudes are low quality, sub par content creators who rely on shock value & click bait to stay afloat to milk CZcams audience for as much as they can without putting in any kind of effort. You’re the exact opposite and wayyyy above them in every way. They don’t even put effort into post production which can fool people into thinking the vid was good. Yours is top notch editing/post production and overall flawlessly put together. If u make vids using these cheap types of thumbnails ppl gon asume you are making the same overhyped redundant bullshit other CZcamsrs make & they gon maybe skip watching your vids & subbing. I’m tired of these CZcamsrs milking us for views tryna trick us into giving them views for money so when I see a vid with their types of thumbnails I immediately decide not to watch because they’ve always been a waste of time.
@@jimmybeanchugger1832 this sound like a whole lotta yapping my guy
This might just be your most insane and well done video yet bro, love to see this crazy evolution!

I think Birds is a brilliant album, so many melodies that just stick in your head, and the 1st three tracks are such a vibe back to back
agreed
Fr birds brings me back to so many memories and shared times. Under appreciated
Birds could not be a "canon" album as Travis say (that it's not a follow up to Rodeo) but without a doubt has a unique sound that personally I like and makes It special, I mean he has never realised tracks with the vibes and sound of Birds since then. Yeah the album it's not the best lyrically but the sound is very memorable, tracks like: the end, way back, coordinate, pick up the phone, sdp interlude, goosebumps, beibs in the trap, wonderful, sweet sweet, they just feels unique in Travis discography.
@@jeff69cpl I think travis poured his heart into birds, but after he realized people weren't enjoying it that much, he said that. just my theory tho. also through the late night is such a vibe and one of the best Cudi x Travis songs
yeah that album is a classic imo, especially coordinate that song is one of my favs by travis
Totally agree with you about Trav’s lyrics. Not the best, but he himself has literally said “this ain’t no poetry session” at one of his shows.
ur not looking for lyricism when listening to travis anyone who goes to travis looking for lyricsm is lowkey corny asf. Travis is for when you want hype, fun songs with really fucking good beats and production.
@@marknaples8577 utopia was pretty good for lyricism if you look into it enough
@@marknaples8577not inherently. apple pie has solid lyrics for example. same thing with step trying to be god. those are some solids off the top of my head.
Birds is heavily underrated, it's really good
My favorite album
IT IS MY FAVORITE TOOO 😭😭😭 so underrated
bro i always say Birds is better than Rodeo , facts !!
severely !!
The fact that he’s been working with on this video since before Utopia is insane. Keep up the great work dude!!!!
Travis’ next album gonna be crazy
he never misses, he'll go down as the goat of trap, legend, him and kanye are extremely creative
well it was
His production is so good, I wanna be on that level so bad 🔥
Had to sub after this 🔥
"Let your ambition carry you"
Same
This is brilliantly made. Loved how much you mentioned Days Before The Rodeo.I have watched many of these doccies and they always down play how great a project it was
Rodeo 9/10
Birds in the Trap 8.5/10
Astroworld 9.5/10 would be a 10 but for who/what
Utopia 10/10 honestly one of the best album experiences I ever had
I gotta disagree with utopia i personally didn’t like it like that i give is like a 8.5 some song are gas and some are not allat but respect the opinion
I’m still playing multiple songs from utopia daily in the car
@@xaviussuniga2542u just need to appreciate it for what it is not what’s it’s not and you’ll see it’s a 10
Utopia is not a 10 💀
@@Driblefantenmy guy it’s his opinion
One of my teachers taught Travis and he said “jaques was a very good student” he js knew he became famous nothing else 😂😭
The goat of Houston and psychedelic rap
He’s a goat already.
The visuals on this video are superb bro, the time and effort does not go unnoticed brother🔥

I felt like the production on Carousel went crazy, AstroWorld helped Hit-Boy catch a 2nd wind, now he’s dominating hip-hop
The production on Meltdown is stellar in my opinion, even if that first verse is a bit weird. That synth sample that Drake leads with that drones out for Travis’ verse then comes back in when he says the iconic ‘poppin’ is just genius production and engineering. Incredible.
Alot of people dont acknowledge trap albums as worthy of being called classics but i said, from the moment i heard rodeo, that its a classic trap album. Still listen to it to this day. I also think lil baby's "My Turn" is a classic trap album.
Agreed
Always amazing work from you sir!! Keep it up. You’ll blow up one day🤞🏽
THATS THE GOAL
I like 16 track out of the 19 tracks on utopia. Amazing album 🔥 🔥 🔥
Ya vids are top tier. The pleasing to the eye visuals, in-depth opinions, progression in the storyline, it’s all fye. You ain’t jus a fan your a connoisseur. It was a hour long video but it felt like it was shorter bc it was so interesting
Thank you man, been working hard to make these videos a dope experience.
@@Volksgeist Fax, La flame has been one a my favorite artists. I hope I can reach his level of production fr
The theme for utopia is complicated but in a good way like the journey of the album…him going to Nigeria to parts of Europe I still don’t understand what was going on but the weirdness of it makes it unique,I remember the first listen was before going to school and I didn’t enjoy or understand it but I listened to it in class from the beginning earphones full blast and damn it was a experience like no other from then I play it every single day…Travis is my favorite artist but when he drops trash I do brand it as trash but utopia gotta be his best album yet totally different from what I expected from him mostly because of the snippets and leaks,he did most of the major production for the album like the movie and most beats on the album he definitely thought it out and went the creative route not what people wanted but what he thought was good for the album he could have dropped songs we expected from etc
Your content is incredible. I love seeing a new upload from you!
Wake up is my favourite song on the track I remember the first time I heard it I was hittin my first Xanax walking in the wilderness by myself and it was just sunshine and rainbows and I felt my soul leave my body as the song continued. I don’t condone drugs but that was my first and last time doing it. 💯
I would say that Birds was the huge gap in leveling up compared to The Weeknd going from Trilogy to Kissland. Switching gears and being inspired by a new life-style. I still think Birds is one of my favorite albums from Travis.
Was riding around Atl around 4am listening to Rodeo a few months ago. It was a much needed experience 🤌🏾😌
From hip-hop icon to marketing genius, Travis' reach goes beyond music at this point. His music is undeniably cinematic and he really understands how to depict a story throughout his records. Future industry legend. Great video
Thank you as always for making great videos
thank you bro, appreciate the support always
Completely left out how AMC Theatres screened Utopia right before it dropped on streaming. *what an album rollout 💥
Thanks for the great video. As a video editor myself I can tell how much effort you put into this!
Phenomenal job!!! This was a pleasure to listen to while grocery shopping!
Ever since that recent carti video, ive been watching every video man! Keep it up ❤
How did he completely skip No Bystanders?
Ong bro this channel is so freaking good, amazingly put together vids with tons of info and perspectives tied together with great graphics and editing, keep it up bro
Ur visuals are unmatched better then bigger channels I hope ur able to do a montage on ur best visuals
I think you should have talked more about "MY EYES" when in the song he says "I replay them nights, and right by my side, all I see is a city of people that ride wit' me
If they just knew what Scotty would do to jump off the stage and save him a child" when he's reffering to the ASTROWORLD incedent
NOOOO BIRDS IS MY FAVORITE! Y’all can say whatever. There is not a miss on that album. Like I resonate with that album so much I love it like 3500.
bro i’ve always said , Birds is better than Rodeo , but niggas don’t wanna listen , you got Andre 3k on your intro , K.Dot , Abel , Cudi (twice) , Swizz Beats , Bryson to mention but a few and that’s features , we ain’t even talk about the feel to the music yet ., CRAZY bro🔥🔥
i always thought ASTROWORLD was his best album though but i’m starting to feel like Utopia is taking that crown rn , that album is something else🌪️🔥
@@abongilejophu2361 what songs do you like on utopia, I don’t like it 😂
Great video!!!
I can't even imagine how much stress was on travis knowing utopia would make or break his career. But its amazing how he pulled it off, I think he is finally cemented in rap history.
And your thoughts are perfect!!!
Travis only crime he ever committed was never putting the full length version of SDP on birds. Easily a top 10 Travis song.
Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.
Amazing, how did you get a spiritual counsellor, and how do i reach her?
Thank you for this valuable information, i just looked her up now online. impressive.
Why CZcams does nothing against these bots
“i don’t want you to think im glazing” then proceeds to glaze rodeo
Tbh that's a problem for me as well 😅
I have nothing to add, just wanted to congratulate you for how amazing this video is.
Awesome video! I love the collage-styled media you use, it looks super cool. You're my new favorite rap video essayist.
so glad to see a video like this. your description of each track, album was on point dude. holy shit
Phenomenal video, we appreciate it !
INSANE video bro! was not familiar with your channel but already subscribed! I think it would be awesome to see a video like this but with A$AP Rocky, keep up the good work.
This is a masterpiece of a video. Amazing job!
His story will always remain strange on how he met with T.I and Ye with 0 fans 😂
You’d be surprised how many artist are behind the scenes of the hip hop scene before they become somebody.
the thing that annoys me about the "lyrics" discussion is i can name a ton of cringey lines from every single rapper so why are we judging travis on his cringey lines when they all do it? I loved XXXTentacion but he had the most cringey lines ever but i still loved the way he could rap and the flows he would use. personally, i think all the hate stems from people either just hating on the artist or simply not listening to the discorgraphy period which means they don't even know what they're talking about.. People seriously probably only listened to Aye by Lil Uzi and say he says nothing when wtf did uzi say on that song? lol I could make a million points but oh well
travis lowk be saying real shit too, mfs never listened to coffee bean or oh my dis side
Amazing video. Surprised you didn’t play the second half of My Eyes that references Astroworld fest.
I can really relate to your opinion on Astro World. Keep up the grind💪
Astroworld is so good! I still listen it today
amazing work 🙌🏼🔥
I love your channel and overviews. Thanks!
This lowkey kinda seems like a discography review lol
Yeah i expected more of his background life
This was a good video!!! Keep up the good work and naw your went glazing if your a Travis Scott fan then your just expressing yourself!!!!
Incredible video bro good stuff
beautiful video bro thank you
Your effort is appreciated ❤💪
Got my utopia shirt on rn 🙏🏻🙏🏻
i like the way travis get features tht sound more like an instrument on the song than an artist along with himself harmonizing with the production he chooses
I had to stop when you said Yosemite was shitty, it’s easily one of the highlights of the album. Gunna perfectly acts as the guide through the song with the chorus and the beat overall is heavenly
I don't get the YOSEMITE hate. Top 5 ASTROWORLD song for sure.
Eyes glued to all of these make me want to Chase music again
This video looked incredible bro
with Utopia, especially LOOOVE, i loved looove not only because it talks about the euphoric side of being famous and how travis will stand for a long time in the music industry, but it has a really soulful amapiano essence to it, especially since im from south africa, it really stood out to me the most, but maybe thats just my bias, but i loved looove for bring rap and piano together
uptown is still a crazy song i remember finding it many years ago and it was unlike anything else i heard at the time w that insane switch up. he then dropped days before rodeo along rodeo and those are also so insanely unique and just so good, especially for the time they were made. great memories listening to all his music and utopia is pretty good but i feel just doesnt hit the same
Underrated video, holy shit this was 100x better than his own netflix doc😂
Masterfully done. One thing I gotta ask is why everyone shits on birds in the trap? Even you playing snippets of these songs I haven’t listened to in years brings me back to a certain time, them songs are fire af! And a proper evolution of his sound up to that point.
I get that it didn’t have an “epic” story tying all the songs together, but that isn’t absolutely necessary to make a great album experience and he already did that. And to complain about the lyrics as if it’s so much worse than all his other projects I don’t understand that either, he ain’t never been the greatest rapper (and I enjoy his rapping for what it is)
bro i’ve always said , Birds is better than Rodeo , but niggas don’t wanna listen , you got Andre 3k on your intro , K.Dot , Abel , Cudi (twice) , Swizz Beats , Bryson to mention but a few and that’s features , we ain’t even talk about the feel to the music yet ., CRAZY bro🔥🔥

@@abongilejophu2361 exactly man 3k on the intro, the cudi/kendrick features is crazy as is! I always said pick up the phone is a perfect song in all aspects shoulda have been way bigger of a song. Plus all the feature you mentioned. I gotta relisten to utopia i fw but i feel like i still haven’t given it a proper listen. I like it as a listening experience but as far as individual songs not as many stood out to me as on any of his other projects. But same time I still haven’t had a full listen. Love my eyes, I know, fe!n etc though
i love your channel dude, just as a friendly advise and observation:
BRO YOUR MIC CLIPPING ASF
there was some moments on the video where my monitors scared the shiit outta me bc of the Popping in ur Mic.
I was waiting for this one last night, and it was gone at the time it should be up. 👀
Man I went to school with him my last year in high school 2009 at elkins in missouri city. he used to freestyle in our government class. He was also the most likely to become famous at that school. Its kinda surreal how much he blew up. He clearly had next level talent and had a vision and a style which made him stand out.
Especially from the area. In that general area the only rappers that people looked up to were rappers like Z-ro, Trae, Etc. That school was in a much better area of Missouri City and he was from a decent family that lived in the suburbs. That was even more of a reason where if he was going to make it he had to think way outside the box. Being a rapper like Z-Ro and Trae would only make him so far at best where Sauce Walka is at now.
Aside from all that he wouldn't be able to go to the houston labels to catch a break because they wouldn't have seen the vision. He saw something no one else did to the point he ended up in NY homeless just to catch that break.
Days before rodeo is my favorite trav project still
Astroworld is perfect album indeed
I really love your videos, can u pls make a video on how u make your content, love ❤from india

Huncho Jack pretty underrated. Good album to just vibe out to
no way u wanted drake,21 and future to be left of utopia there probably the best features on the album
Travis is a genius when it comes to melody, vocal production and curation
LOVE your work man
Tenets is a must watch ! Travis Scott stay healthy your needed
birds is definitely one of my favorites, but i have a hard time rating it against his other albums, or rather, ranking any of his albums against each other as they are all very good. Each comes with its own nature and vibe, and is very distinct from any other select album. I think huncho jack also deserves flowers though, it truly is an underrated trap banger, it’s grimey tone really can get you into a mindset that no other travis album can get you into. I think I could associate each album with a feeling, i would personally say,
Rodeo - Reaching the End of a beautiful journey discovering yourself along the way (basically what V said).
Birds - No cares, just vibing, literally in every sense. A point in time where you just don’t care and are doing something you love.
Huncho Jack - The state of being locked in. Not that the album is travis being locked in, but that it really does depict that feeling of being hunched over and in the zone.
Astroworld - Laying field of grass, looking at the clouds and just feeling the sun on your skin; freedom
Utopia - Pure energy; if you’ve ever been in a track race you’ll understand what I mean! Or any sport where adrenaline is high. That’s Utopia until the end where it fizzles out and shows what it’s like after that energy with my eyes kind of being a preparation in a way.
(and jackboys if you consider it an album, it’s more of a compilation but i digress, just GRIME; gatti is the embodiement of this idk how to describe it, music on a speaker washing dishes with the stank face in full effect😂)
Nice, Subbed
True Travis Scott fan loves everything he has made
this was really amazing but please do a video on j Cole's story next. 🙏 🙏
Great video
Good video. Just something to note: the interpolation you pointed out @40:00 for 5% tint isn't 'Still Tippin' by Swisha House but 'Cell Therapy' by Goodie Mob. Good shit though
Middle-class hero
I don’t agree with all of his musical tastes (especially his seemingly person vendetta against Drake lol). But there’s no denying the effort and creativity put into the video. The research and editing is amazing. Great video

Mafia is top Tier Travis but escape Plan is mid i agree
Seriously, Mafia is anything but mid imo. The harmonizing singing with the trance-inducing melody of the productive is top notch! I think it was a mark how much his singing improved! Seeing his live performance of it really highlights this!
