Hi Kev.I.N it's about par with a lot of Greek and Corfu studio accommodation from years back, usually they were called Village rooms 😂😂 and usually the balcony terrace area is shared with other studio rooms. The 2 times I have visited Sidari I stayed at the Hotel Club Maria which also has Shooters Bar as part of it. It's in the Canal D'Amour area. That has a pool and studio rooms are usually private terrace/balcony. Very nice self catering accommodation ✔️👍 Cheers DougT

It reminds me of many Greek studios I stayed in in my youth. I put up with them back then but I wouldn’t stay nowadays. Still, when you’re young all you want is somewhere to lie your head at 4am😁

Fair play Kev, generally accommodation in Corfu is very basic compared to Spain etc on the flip side a lot of resorts are not very commercialised, just nice and relaxing. ☘️👍
You use them to sleep in ,when I go on holiday I’m not in much ,

Posh Aberdeen lassies next door unlocked our sliding door and threw our clothes in the pool.

We had a trip to Kassiopi about 34 years ago, accommodation was awful, not clean and very basic like that, asked to get moved, and they put us in something just as bad - loved the the place though, the bay was lovely at night, bustling with restaurants and bars (only other downside was the stone beach) take me to Benalmadena/Torremolinos/La Carihuela any day 😂 Would love to see you do a walk through in Kassiopi though, some good memories of that place!
To be honest it’s par for the course in Corfu. Also leaving the key in door is common don’t worry it’s no paisley you will be safe enough

Greece is a rustic country, would be a bit small for 2 weeks but a couple of nights in July, would do, you only need it to shower and sleep.
I stayed in hotel paradise next door it was fab for a week Scottish lady was so helpful 😀
She helped me find the place next door ! I had a drink at the pool there

That's pathetic!!!! I stayed in the Paradise next door that you mentioned, they're quite big but dated, though I've heard they're being refurbished for next year. They have 2 pools and in a great location . Hope you go to the Coves while in Sidari some fabulous views and great bars, have fun.
To be fair its what I expected after I seen the beach on your 1st video, looked forgotten about.

That's why I stick to Costa Del Sol, Greece, Corfu and Cypress is probably beautiful but I have heard from various friends that the standard is pretty bad!

Been to a resort called "Ipsos"? in the past, Was a lot nicer looking that where you're at currently, get yourself across to that resort
That made me laugh when you said there's nothing worth stealing! It looks very clean though.

Been to greece 9 times, twice in corfu and have always put the toilet roll down the toilet lol, never had a problem! Shocking room 🤦♀️

few years back 6 of us booked Benitses 3 rooms 2 in each (we thought) there was 20 from same travel agent booked under Smith.? we argued and got the 3 rooms but others were like 4 or 6 to a room, cleaner (owners mother) came to our room 7.am every morning we were getting in at 5.am anybody doing anything were getting thrown out. we were there 2 weeks. 2nd week 4 Irish girls moved in upstairs they had been evicted from another hotel 1st night one of the girls came home later than the rest knocked on the door maybe a wee bit loud to get in, owner told them to get out in the morning. The resort was packed with loads o' people looking for accommodation certain hotel owners were taking money for a week etc then chucking people out after 1 or 2 nights. We got all the info from our local barman, that coupled wi other things put us right off, okay was a wee while ago now but never went back.
Been going to Greece since I was 20 and last holiday was two yer ago and I’ve never had a bad experience mainland or island ,I love Greece .I feel same about Spain nothing but people thinking there in Blackpool ,
@@Crosshatch1212 good you've had nice positive experiences, I've been going to various places since 1976 and in early days had my share of problems like overbooked hotels with no place to stay (due to tour operators) had dirty bug infested rooms lot of different issues over the years but never actually been to Blackpool so really couldn't compare.

The greeks dont generally clean the rooms that well and you will be lucky if the floors are ever cleaned

You get what you pay for. 3 people in room £15 each cheap . But I wouldn’t entertain it.

Just spent a week here and it's like a slum. Worst I have ever stayed in. I have been coming to Sidari 10 years. Going home a week early it's that bad. Absolutely filthy, no cooking facilities cooker doesn't work. Electrics are extremely dangerous, foul stench coming up drains in bathroom. No fresh towels or bedding in a week. Omg so bad DO NOT STAY HERE.
Defo could not stay there long term I don't blame you one night was enough for me.
You book a 2 Star property and expect 4 Star facilities???...and everyone knows these ratings are even a push at that..
