The UN isn’t meant to be an administrative body. I’m so tired of people expecting the UN to function like some sort of international government. Never before in the history of mankind have so many different countries from across the world collected together in one room to voice their opinions about international topics. The UN is meant to be a forum for dialogue between countries and in this case, it works perfectly. Plus it’s important to not disregard the secondary bodies of the UN that have done a phenomenal job: IMF, ILO, DPA and the WHO (although they’ve been lacking a bit recently)

I am a pro Israel guy but the only solution is to give palestine the annexed land back and live peacefully. The rights of the Palestinian people are inalienable, they deserve a state as much as Israel got one. But that cannot happen until the violence is stopped.

The contrast on what was 7 years ago and what's going on today is a very important factor that truly portrays just how useful the U.N actually is. One of major disadvantages and critique is that the U.N is only able to set on sanctions in the international arena. They can recognize countries and vote for as many resolutions as they want, however they are in no position to force any country to truly submit themselves under their sanctions, resolutions whatsoever. This is one of many reasons why I find international politics so damn interesting.

One of major disadvantages and critique is that the U.N is only able to set on sanctions in the international arena. They can recognize countries and vote for as many resolutions as they want, however they are in no position to force any country to truly submit themselves under their sanctions, resolutions whatsoever. This is one of many reasons why I find international politics so damn interesting.
