    I actually agree with the mom. This happened to me. I tried on two dresses and the first was the one I wanted because I showed them the online picture I was set on it was suppose my dream dress I went again and tried on more and after 6 dresses I found the one I cried in it was not initially the dress I saw online and showed them my mind changed. Thats why I feel its good to try at least a good amount of dresses you never know

      I went to a very small bridal shop and picked my dress out in a catalog. It was a southern Belle. That was in 2004. It was perfect! I loved it! It looked like a dress that would have been on the movie called gone with the wind it was beautiful!

    If you love it who cares what your mom says. You don’t need to try on a million dresses, if you find the one that gives you the feeling you’re looking for and makes you feel beautiful then anyone else’s opinion doesn’t matter. The first bride already knew before she went to the shop that she loved that dress so it’s not like she didn’t at least window shop online. She looked so happy and beautiful in that dress

      @@RRM2021I agree with you. She’s quite pushy and I only ever see Dianne aiming for commission. Mum was right imo and I think she saw through her. Yes she did look amazing in the first dress but yet again she wasn’t offered the chance to try something that was similar within her budget. The style of dress is not unique and the detail on it wasn’t either. I also thought the detailing looked grubby but that could have been the lighting.

      Having someone politely look out for your best interest ? The dress was not made for her figure and was above her budget , she needed to try more styles unlike the second bride. luckily that's how my mother in law is and I prefer that over going along with me and then I show up with an unflattering 5K dress that I bought without too much thought

    Melissa talked herself into that dress. Mom was correct. It really wasn't even that flattering, in my opinion. But the second bride? Oh. My. Goodness. THAT was beyond stunning. PERFECT for her and she rocked it! This is the difference in pulling the right consultant in my opinion. Wanting to make a sale or wanting to make your bride.

      This consultant Diann ALWAYS starts at the brides top budget. In this case it was $5,000. She Then puts her in a $5,900 then she says to the bride "U CAN COMPARE THE OTHERS TO THE FIRST". The mother knew what was going on, kudos to the mom. The bride's budget was $5,000. Keep in mind that doesn't even include a vail or alterations. They made the right choice!!!!! đŸ‡ș🇾

    What does it matter who found the dress ?? If she loves ❀it and she knows this is the one then let her decide. Don’t make her second guess herself. Only a bride knows if that’s the one regardless who picked it out . I found my dress the first time I went to try them on. I found it in the first 30 minutes of being there . And I didn’t regret it at all . I still think it’s gorgeous!!!

    I did exactly what the first bride did. Looked through the bridal magazines, showed the sales lady what I liked. She knew exactly I what wanted. I tried on 2 dresses, and I was done. I bought the first one. It was exactly what I wanted and even more beautiful than what I had in mind. I bought that first dress and no regrets, it was perfect.

    I completely agree with the first bride's mom. Dianne did not do anything except put the costliest dress on first and push for it. All the others did not have any beading that the bride was looking for. Good that they didn't buy it immediately. There is nothing wrong with thinking through and then Making a decision.

    The first bride's dress was mystifying. That strange inverted Y shape covered in glitter, just weird and not especially flattering. The way the arms of the Y spread out, it only draws attention to the widest part of the body. The mother actually saved her from a kind of ugly dress.

      I was set on a big poofy dress when I was engaged. I'm so thankful that my mum talked me out of that one because it didn't flatter me. Her pick , a slender trumpet dress, worked beautifully with my petite figure.

      I usually side with the bride, but Mum's right this time. The dress didn't flatter her. It would have been okay on a taller bride. But a shorter bride like her needs less dress and subtle embellishments.

    That first mom is ridiculous. The bride said before she came in, that was her dress. She tried it on and said she loved it. You don't have to try on 20 dresses to know when you know. I tried on 3. That was it.

      The bride said she valued her Mom’s opinion and she had come all the way from Arizona. You could tell that she wasn’t comfortable with the NYC way of doing things. To her it was too aggressive and too fast.

      Why is it when someone doesn't like something that someone is trying on, they are accused of being jealous? The mother did not act jealous. I think she felt that it wasn't the right dress for her daughter and was gently trying to steer her to something else. Isn't that why you bring a trusted person along? To tell you something is not that great on you? If not, why not go by yourself and leave everyone else at home?
