I know, mine too! I also loved his performance as Johnny in Sing and Sing 2. I don't know if it's just me, but I have a feeling his performance of Elton John's "I'm Still Standing" in Sing had an impact on the choice for him as the role of Elton John in Rocket Man because he performed that same song at the end of Rocket Man as well. It's probably just a coincidence though.
@@Cheetagirl_1985 Actually, you're right. He got the role in "Rocketman" thanks to his performance in "Sing". Then he and Elton played together in "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" and that also helped a bit. But he mainly got the role, because of "Sing"
Tom’s performance in I saw the light is underrated He’s British (English) but portrayed a southern-American man (Hank Williams) and not just that but he sang in a totally different accent!
@@MichaelDavis2754 No one is actually a bigger apologist for Taron than I am and I'm not an Elton purists either. I've also played the Rocketman soundtrack a bunch. But just sayin
Bro what the fuck, Eddie Murphy has such an awesome voice. I came here for Taron, left knowing Eddie Murphy can sing. Maybe it’s because I never took a deep dive into his history like I eventually end up doing for lots of celebrities I like.
With Austin Butler, I think he could have used a vocal coach JUST for vocal health. After the film, he when on interviews, Graham Norton for example, and his speaking voice sounded horsed, almost as if he was developing nodes on his vocal chords. He was saying stuff like: "people are just use to my voice as a kid". However, his spwaking voice didn't sound so horesed/raspy in Shanara Chronicles or even later in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which he for sure wasn't a kid there!
He did that intentionally, he actually got the voice down perfectly when doing vocal training but he felt like he didn't want to be another impersonater but rather pay tribute so he put his own spin on it
Austin Bulter is insane holy
fax
I concur💃
Isn't he like a terrible person 😂
@@jayking2228 elaborate??
@@Sailor_Jae1 ive seen clips him ignoring vanessa hudgens in public events and didnt even credit her for pushing him to do that role of elvis.

The fact that he singed Im Still Standing by Elton John
Yes he was so perfect for that role!!!
eddie is so talented i swear
Tom’s performance in I saw the light is underrated

You need to listen to Elton John’s original recordings from back in the 70s.
Yet they still don’t nominate Taron for an Oscar.
Austin Butler. Hands Down
austin butler actually forgot what he sounded like and had to retrain himself to talk normally
Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) Gary Bussey (in Buddy Holly) to name a few and I believe Leon in Little Richard
nicee imma check it out 😄👌
@@wpeakPlease do and Beverly DeAngelo too!
Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge, Meryl Streep Ricki and the flash

Remi Malek sang for reals too as Freddie Mercury. He was my GOAT next to Austin Butler with Elvis.
It was actually Marc Matel

Joaquin Phoenix
Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon Walk the Line, Sissy Spacek Coal Miner's Daughter, Gary Busy The Buddy Holly Story
Tom hiddleston also sings in Loki (when she sings she sings come home)
Isn’t it weird how Taron’s been in 3 movies related to Elton John
All these years i didnt know Eddie Murphy could sing
That's why Austin & Tyron did not win the Oscar..It should be the real singer been heared in the film..Actor's duty is to act ..In my opinion
Taron egerton sing 1 and 2 as JOHNNYYY
Im pretty sure marc martel and rami malek sang in bohemian rhapsody
Joaquin Phoenix in walk the line
Where is Jamie Fox, Joaquin Phoenix, Sissy Spacek?
