A testament to quality. I'm glad I am a member of the Porsche family. Great story.
I love this! Not only does this show a special bond between a man and his car but also the bond he had with his father. Lovely!
He truly loves that car. I see it everyday. This film captures Guy & Blu's relationship like no other. Thank you.
Dad if you;re reading this, i'd really like a Porsche for graduation too
excellent !!!! LOL !
I'd like a dad for graduation
The future is blue. I haven't smiled this much for a long time. Perfect.
Whoever disliked this never really enjoyed a car...
or even owned one
Snoopy25 "enjoyed"? They don't even know what a "car" is
All of these statements are fairly true !
Porsche is the best car builder
So cool. Everyday supercar personified.
Gay cha an "everyday supercar" something that the people of our generation will never be able to get.... We have to go to the past for that.... And this is one of those few...
I don't have a 50 year-old Porsche, but I really love the feeling of replacing parts, all tires at the right psi, fresh oil and a full tank.
Had a B and a C in college and gave my son my 944 when he graduated. I think they are meant to be passed down.
Beautiful indeed, God Bless Mr. Newmark and his wonderful Porsche 356.
Guy truly loves that car. I see it everyday. This film captures Guy & Blu's relationship like no other. Thank you.
And thank you to everyone who was there to watch it happen.
Great story. This man deserves to own this car, and this car is lucky he owns it. I hope you thank your father every day, he gave you 52 years of joy!
Great video. Cool dude. Think about how green that is... I had a 59 VW, 67 VW, 64 Chevy truck, 57 chevy truck, 76 911 Porsche, 55 Jeep, 76 Jeep, 1983 CJ-7 "The best", 79 seville caddy, 73 GMC truck, some other truck, 1980 ford truck f-100, 1990 fork f-150, 2002 f250 ford, 2003 f-350 ford "The worst", 2007 Dodge 2500, 1998 Dodge dakota, 2014 Dodge Ram with a broken DEF tank and a broken sensor from going through a puddle in Oregon, and this cool BLUE was always getting better gas mileage, and new cars were not being stamped out... Tremendous respect Guy N., you are where we should always be going-simple, happy, and in my opinion, righteous...
Porsche back then were built to last . I hope Guy ,you have many other great times in the 356. Thank you for posting your story .
All I can say is WOW ! Greatest car story ever, get another million miles out of Blu !
What a wonderful video...what a wonderful car.
I am deeply touched by this video
What a beautiful car!
Not really a fan of foreign cars BUT this Porsche is AMAZING! This man uses this as a "Daily Driver", he uses this for everything! Being from New England I put my car away every Autumn and it takes quite awhile to do that properly! No way could (even if you wanted too) you drive a car like that around here in winter! Between snow, ice and salty roads this probably would have rotted out by now! I am truly impressed, I do imagine this survived so long due to the detail of care he gives this awesome car on a regular basis! Thanx for sharing this amazing story!
holy cow that's around 1,6 mio kilometers 😀
Canadians unite! :D
Made in Germany! Great!!!

Отличный авто, отличная история, владелец по настоящему любит свой автомобиль, такое бережёте отношение столь длительный период, это любовь!
Congratulations on owning such a wonderful car like a 356 ! It has to be the nicest looking car ever made ! Not a bad view anywhere, a
Total icon of design by the Porsche family.
What a classic thing... It's like about Life'n'Love
My fave. type of video and car owner. One that take good care of the car and drive it regularly.

Congratulations!
I cried
He's gonna get in trouble for rolling back the odometer that far.
Seriously though, what a legend. Nothing last forever, but Porsches do seem to come close
Awesome!
I nearly shed a tear...
its take care about our things!!! love our treasures, be gentle with the things come to our lives!!! lovely video!!!
awesome car!
Beautiful
Keep going Guy and Blue 👏👌
Pretty amazing.
Well done!
Thank you.
True Love
a dream of mine, to drive a Porsche till its last breathe
Lovely
goosebumps
That old cars very simple and reliable. 356 has the same engine as VW Beetle, which is very easy to take out of the car for overhaul (some people can take out Beetle engine in less than 2 minutes )
wow nice
woww
god, imagine getting a porche 356 for a graduation gift
Guy, congrats. Can you tell me the color of your car, and is it original?
He´s gone to the moon and back, twice.
I always put slick 50 in my engine oil I wonder if this person used it also
This is how it's supposed to be.
I cried lol
I wonder if a modern Porsche could still crack a million miles on the original engine and transmission if properly maintained, or even a million Kilometers... Porsche, do you hear me? I am willing to try to get a modern day 911 Carrera to a million Kilometers, you just have to give me one! :D
I doubt this engine has gone that far without several rebuilds. But I did read that Porsche expected 200,000 miles out of them. One problem for the Type 616 engine is that the oil filter didn’t necessarily clean all the oil. My ‘68 912 engine’s pistons were somewhat scratched when I replaced the engine that I have many years later.
oWo..!
Hi Porsche, I would like to start my business repairing the vintage Porsche cars, but I don't know where to get the discontinued parts
Одометр имеет 5 разрядов - это сто тысяч милль. А сколько кругов одометр сделал - неизвестно.
Machine translate:
The odometer has 5 digits - a hundred thousand miles. How many laps did the odometer - is unknown.
👏👏🤠🇧🇷😎👍
The Porsche 356 odometer only goes to 99,999? So Guy Newmark have 'resetted' his odometer 10 times already?
No. Nine times.
У моей старой джетты мк2 пробег 1.3М. Ничего удивительного.
Great car, Ilike it, but I can not understand how they know that it has reached millione mile mark, if in 0:58 we can see that there is only 99 975 miles - there is no place for 999 999 miles, only for 99 999.
He kept track of the odometer turn overs since he was the original owner.
In the video which adress I showed in the second comment uncle says that: "car has 982 thousand miles, but we can not see odometr in this video, so I understand that there is 98 200 miles. I like Porsche, but, sorry, there is fake in this video.
Kurzemnieks 3 It's not exactly difficult to understand!
Dieselszwindel ?
There are no such cars nowadays. Today cars are build with the presumption you will change it after 2-3 years when the facelift arrive. Cars are build only for profit and there are no legendary cars any more - to bad we live in consumers world nod a world leaded by someone's passion. To bad we will never have cars build by people like Ferdinand Porsche, Enzo Ferrari or Ferruccio Lamborghiny :(
Benzinio Don't worry bro, Christian Von Koenigsegg is still here, and Koenigseggs are full of passion! 😆
2 million with slick 50?
Imagine if the guy is lower by 2 inches with bucket seats. I don’t think he could still drive it. I need to sell my GT4.
Il mio sogno da bambino, posseggo un maggiolino ma arriverò a Porsche 356
Very one commenting about the 5 digit odometer….stop. He literally says he takes it in every 3,000 miles. I’m sure Porsche would be happy to show you the paperwork with maintenance proving it’s miles. Why is this so unbelievable? Take care of your car, get on the throttle burning off that pesky carbon build up and you’ll be amazed what and well engineered engine can do.
Everyone ***
Откуда 1 миллион км??? На одометре только 99 тыс. км!!!
Антон Орехов ×10 time s
For sale: low mileage classic car.
the engine actually lasted this long? hm...theres a 1983 911, im assuming air cooled, being sold around my town, should i pick it up....i already have a Cayman GTS though. But no were as classy as that car.
I believe this car has had three engine rebuilds. Which, when you think about it, really isn't bad at all.
Yea, extremely impressive really.
You don't have a Cayman GTS.
Edwin Scott yep, i sure dont. ive already had a million ppl not believing in this. doesnt affect me since i have it LOL
You keep believing that.
99.999 +1=100.000
ten times.
How ironic. Todays car probably never reach that mileage too.
We'll never see a million mile 996 or 997. Not one with the original engine at least. :-(
Scott Baxter you will be surprised. it's a Porsche.
e36mmm
Time to put an LS in it. make it a real super car. stick in an all aluminum LS7 and have better ballance. faster 0 to 60 times. for a 1/3 of the cost of a new Porsche motor
Yes you can, just regular maintenance and oil and your good to go! Use it as a daily too
There are 600 and 700k+ mile 996 turbos running around. Google high mileage 996 Turbo and then get back to me on this comment. The mezger engines are damn near bulkier proof.
This is the wrong place. We don’t care about the fastest 0-60 in Porsches. If you have owned a a Porsche then you would know the fun of driving them. It’s like no other.
it marked 99,999 miles, not 999,999.
Yes, but his service history keeps track of the odometer, documenting that it had its rollover ten times.
9th, not 10th
It`s third comment
Fc
Pardon the stupidity, but how is going from 99999 to 100000 a million?
the odometer was reset many times every time it reaches 99K , 199K , 299K, and so on
Makes more sense. Thanks!
ITS AN AUTOMATIC?
No, you could see him shifting
There's no clutch though?
I can assure you it is not an automatic. There is a clutch.
Ahh yeah Jonas, Fair play! Was worried it was an auto for a sec :D
boski you should've known that there's no automatic option for the 356 because this is a real man's car... And real men drives 3 pedals... Except in traffic.
Insulting.
Ted M how is this insulting?
