As a Pole I now see Hungary, a close ally of Putin, as the enemy of Poland. Don't buy any Russian gas and oil and throw out Russians from the Paks nuclear power plant and only after that we may become friends again !
@@mareka3740 I understand your opinion and feelings, but are you serious right now? In the Russian-Ukrainian war we aren't support Ukraine in the same level, but Hungary supports Ukraine too. You also need to see that we aren't in the same positions. Finally, our friendship is one of the oldest, we have saw bigger dangers in other groups (e.g.: ww2), but we were still be best friends, now we don't "attack" Russia as wild as you want(ed) and now (in your opinion) we aren't friends? I believe our friendship is better (and older) than that and we STILL love eachother (even if our leaders now currently hasn't the best relations, but I hope they will be okay again).
@@mareka3740 The Jews have already "thanked" us for saving their lives during the WW2. They accuse us of collaborating with the Germans, and with the help of the US administration they are trying to extort money and heirless property from Poland. We will see how the Ukrainians will "thank" us for our help.
I just wanted second your opinion as I agree with you. Also wanted to add that Hungary's position in this Ukraine war is much trickier because we have a huge minority living in Ukraine at Transcarpathia. First of all, we don't want Russia to make a target of our people. Second, the Ukrainians have been killing and persecuting their minorities all over Ukraine (this is nothing new, has been going on for a long time).. The most famous genocides were committed against the Russian minority. But there are other minorities in Ukraine, such as the Hungarians, Rusyns, Romanians. They've been persecuted as well.
Just 2 weeks ago, Ukrainian special forces started coming to Transcarpathia, where mainly our Hungarian people live, and take any man by force between the ages of 18-6o! By force!
They closed the biggest market, surrounded it and took 9o Hungarian men, then I know of cases where fathers would drop off their children at school and the soldiers were waiting around the corner to ambush and take them to the front. This is what's going on in Ukraine today, but minorities have always lived in fear there. While our people are being killed for Ukraine (who hates them anyway), we provide refuge to theirs fleeing. We also, give them huge amounts aid, both money and resources, free school, education, travel, doctor, ect.
So it is not as simple for us. With all of this said , Hungary has condemned Russia for attacking Ukraine.
@@goddessIv And of course you forgot about the genocide of Poles, genocide with particular cruelty (genocidium atrox), committed by Ukrainians against the Polish women, children and the elderly in Volhynia.

Compared to other visegrad countries it is a superpower, compared to the rest of europe it's a major power, compared to the world, it's not a joke it's above average, but not a great power. Also Czechian army is small, but apperantly it's actually quite good it's ranked 48 out of 145 countries which for a country of it's size isn't bad

For us, Poles, Hungarians were and are the nearest brothers, but czechs and slovaks not. They are our enemies. History has shown this. The Hungarians helped us and the Czechs and Slovaks stabbed us in the back.
@@perseus274 I don't know who you are, but for us, Poles, the matter is obvious; Hungarians are our brothers and nothing will change that. In the eyes of Poles, Czechs and Slovaks are nations with which we still had problems. They robbed us of our historic lands: Zaolzie, Spiš and Orawa. We want to have a common border with Hungary, but unfortunately between us is this unfriendly Gypsy Slovakia. When I have to travel through these two unfriendly countries, I get stressed because I know that there are unpleasant people living there who can attack me verbally and physically.

Hungarians are very cyvilised nation, they were a part of former Austrian-Hungarian Empire. We, Poles aren't any slaves like Russians or Ukrainians, we're mix of Jews, Germans, Vikings.
