To anyone whose Java Jdk is in the Program Files folder, youll get an error because java does not allow spaces in environment path variables. Simply change that line at 5:37 to have: C:\Progra~1\Java\
Thank you

Hello, sir. I encountered an issue when attempting to extract the Bin folder from the provided link. The error message states: 'hadoop3_xFixedbin.rar: The archive is either in an unknown format or damaged.' I urgently need assistance to resolve this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Use this link to download that file github.com/cdarlint/winutils and download the bin file based on your hadoop installation version
great work bro , thank you
You're welcome
ater typing jps, command prompt is not showing any output? can you explain why. i am also not able to acess port 9870
Java jdk bin path is not configured properly in system variable. Use localhost:50070
TNX. helped me a lot
Glad it helped!
thank you. It works. but can you show us how to install hadoop using virtual box?
17:00 my localhost 8088 refuses to connect. Please can u help me?
And at last stop-all.cmd is not recognised as an internal or external command
it's probably the cluster isn't running, just run jps in cmd line to check the cluster is running or not. If not then launch the Hadoop Namenode and Yarn.
Can you help me, when I try to format my namenode, it doesnt work. Instead I got these errors, ' WARN namenode.NameNode: Encountered exception during format / ERROR namenode.NameNode: Failed to start namenode. ' . How do I solve this
Clear the contents of datanode and tmp folders, then restart Hadoop services and format the namenode.
Got through everything and went I type JPS it states it is not recognized and when I go to check the localhost nothing is generated.
java path isn't configured properly, check the path both in system and user env variables. make sure it's the jdk bin path.
Does the bin folder works with hadoop 3.4.0?
when i run "hadoop" comment i meet an issue "'hadoop' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.' I don't why?
although I paste hadoop\bin and hadoop\sbin in path
you've to edit hadoop-env.cmd file as well put the java path over there, then hadoop will recognized follow the video at 05:26
Did u find the fix ? Even I am trying but getting the same error
hello bro everything was working fine for me but all of a sudden now when i type hdfs namenode -format, it gives me error like this : WARN namenode.NameNode: Encountered exception during format:
java.io.IOException: Invalid directory or I/O error occurred for dir: \tmp\hadoop-ASUS\dfs
ame\current
at org.apache.hadoop.fs.FileUtil.listFiles(FileUtil.java:1448)
Can you please help me ?
Clear the contents of datanode and tmp folders, then restart Hadoop services and format the namenode.
Hi, I am getting the error: C:\hadoop\data
amenode\current\VERSION (Access is denied), when I try to run the namenode from command prompt. Could you please help with this?
check the folder is present in that location or try to update datanodes value of hdfs-site.xml from C:/hadoop/data/datanode to /hadoop/data/datanode
when i try to open the exe in this path ""C:\hadoop\bin\winutils.exe" it suddenly opens and close in the fraction of second , there is no error , i am working with windows 11 , what should i do ? 12:50
that means all the dependency are install, you can go forward.
Hi, i got all the variables when i do jps , but when i do localhost 8088 it refuses to connect , i downloaded hadoop 3.3.6 any idea if something changed ?
In Hadoop version >3.3.5, the nameNode web gui was on port #9870 and nodemanager at #9842
i have a error :
C:\Users\Truong Duan>hdfs namenode -format
Error: Could not find or load main class Duan
when i run namenode -format in cmd
check java path, maybe there is a space in the file path. If you have path like 'C:\Users\Truong Duan\.." it should be 'C:\Users\Truong/ Duan\.."
i cant tell which dll file is missing the error wont come
Hi, i followed every single step but when I type in the jps on my command prompt, nothing shows up, not even the jps itself. Any ideas?
It appears that the Java path is not configured correctly, either in the environment variables or in the Hadoop-env.cmd file.
Why don't the words datanode and namenode appear when I type jps command prompt?, only resources manager and jps appear. help me
Format the namenode first, then launch it. It should work.
after entering “hdfs namenode -format” I got such error “root= \tmp\hadoop-PC\dfs
ame; location= null ? (Y or N)” , then when I enter jps I don't see the datanode . Please help me. Thank you very much
it's because you've formatted the name node already, just start the dfs
while running jps not getting the datanode value in the command prompt? How to get datanode in the jps command?
java path isn't configured properly. in the environment variables put the java jdk bin path.
thank you for you work but why jps doesn't give me any result
Excelent, working great without errors! Thank you!
You're welcome!
in cmd prompt after typing start-dfs.cmd, i got the error as 'Windows cannot find hadoop, Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again', like this i am receiving, pls resolve it, what procedure i have to follow
first run 'java -version' if it's show java version, then set java jdk path inside of hadoop-env.cmd file which is located hadoop>>etc>>hadoop folder.
Hi, in the step formating the namenode i didn't allowed permission for java, and when running jps i cannot see the datanode, can someone help how to resolve this
open the cmd line prompt as Administrator, then run the commands. If jps didn't show anything then java path isn't configured properly in environment variables, provide the java jdk bin path.
i did everything like you but when i run hadoop i get :"'hadoop' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file." please can i anyone help
Provide the Java JDK path in hadoop-env.cmd file in Java_home section
'hdfs' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
please solve this
Check the path you added in hdfs-site.xml as well as check the path in hadoop-env.cmd
When using Hadoop 2.7.0(for hive installation), it does not come with mapred.xml is that normal?
Still waiting for a reply on this^^
No, that's not normal. It should be mapred-site.xml, otherwise the map reduce program will not work.
Unable to start yarn services. After writing start-yarn.cmd it is unable to start ResourceManager. Unable to browse directory in locahost:9870. Error : Failed to retrieve data from /webhdfs/v1/?op=LISTSTATUS: Server Error
check the property inside the yarn-site.xml. also check namenode and datanode is running then start yarn or you can start all services at once just use start-all.cmd. if localhopst:9870 isn't worked use localhost:50000
why is "Error: Could not find or load main class ..." when i run hadoop version ini command prompt?
java path isn't set properly in environment variable path, provide the java jdk bin path.

i followed your video step by step then when I type "hdfs namenode -format" and it says that name is formatted successfully but then when I type "start-dfs.cmd" the nodemanager, namenode and datanode all run for a couple seconds and then shutdown, what is the problem?
Delete the folders of namenode and datanode then recreate the folders again and run cmd as administrator, then format the namenode again then start the namenode.
@@IvyProSchool still not fixed sir

i have this problem what can i do ?
Please check which version Java is installed. it should be Java 8
i can't reach localhost,how to fix it ?
Can someone help me ?, I did everything on the video until the end, but when I access to the cluster manager I don't see any cluster running like in the video , why is thath ??
this is a single node cluster installation, that's why you see Zero number of cluster if you install multi node cluster you'll see the cluster numbers.
Error while starting yarn. And also jps command does not show anything. Java path is well set. Reinstalled 3 times from scratch. same error. Any help to sleep peacefully tonight?

is it safe to download this bin folder and all files it contains? I am curious to know What is the source of this bin folder uploaded on Gdrive. And what is the reason behind deleting original bin folder and replacing it with your bin folder? Will be really helpful if you can clarifiy this
Since Hadoop framework is more compatible with Linux based OS, to make it compatible with Windows OS we need to change the framework that's why we use this bin folder. This is the github link of that file github.com/cdarlint/winutils
Thank you very much man
You're welcome!
localhost:9000 doesn't work while 8088 works.
I get " 'namenode' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file. " when i run namenode -format in cmd
But when I run hdfs namenode -format it works fine
because namenode is a component of hadoop to access it first you need to access hadoop using hadoop or hdfs(latest versions).
You deserve a subscribe! excellent man!...Thank you!! #subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
when i type jps on the cmd, it doesn't show anything, why?
so when i try to do last step which is localhost:9870, it says can't reach this page
it's because namenode isn't started, just format namenode before lunch it for first time, if localhost:9870 says can't reach use localhost:50070.
@IvyProSchool I can connect to the localhost already but when I connect to the localhost:8088, it shows 0 active nodes, do u know why this happened?
I am getting error, application could not start '
in command prompt it shows hadoop is install but give error when i am try to check hadoop version
Same with me bro
Configure hadoop bin & sbin path in system variable as well as provide Java JDK path in hadoop-env.cmd file.
hadoop command is working. But while running hadoop version, it is showing "could not find or load main class pandey"
same bro, did you find a way out of this error?
you've set the java path in hadoop-env.cmd file
somehow managed to work but localhost:9000 showing error ""It looks like you are making an HTTP request to a Hadoop IPC port. This is not the correct port for the web interface on this daemon."
Yes, this is not a web interface of hadoop portal, you have to use localhost:9870 or localhost:50070
I am having an error when I type the start-yarn.cmd. When I click enter it says the resource manager and node manager is shutting down. Can you help me with this problem.
first start the nodemangers using start-dfs.cmd, then start yarn, if it's show error again check the yarn-site.xml files properties.

Hello sir,
when i tried to check the hadoop version it says
"Could not find or load main class "
Any solution for this
Put the java jdk bin path in Hadoop-env.cmd file as well as check the path in environment variables.

Thank you so much !!!
You're welcome!
Sir.....I got error at final.........I type jps in cmd.....but,'jps 'not recognised as an internal or external command........how to rectify this error
It appears that the Java path is not configured correctly, either in the environment variables or in the Hadoop-env.cmd file.
I am getting this error when I try to type : hadoop version
Error: Could not find or load main class [my name]
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: [my name]
this is my structure: C:\Users\OP [my name]>
but hadoop command is working
Same error with me bro
try to write this way C:/Users/OP\ [my name]>, whenever there is a space before that put '\'
Amazing video, but there's a problem I run into
localhost:9870 is working as I can actually see but the localhost:8088 doesn't work
Please help
localhost:8088 shows the resource manager which can be available when you launch yarn.
@@IvyProSchool how to do that ?
@@srinath5630 In your cmd, path: c:\hadoop\sbin type start-yarn.cmd

Thank youuuu❤
Edit option is highlighting on PATH system variables. What to do?
search edit the enviroment variables select it and dont open for account
I followed the video but any time i run the hdfs namenode -format, it brings an "Error: could not find or load main class Tech"
check java path in environment variables, if there is any space replace with '/'.
I having the same problem
14:56
I did all the steps
But here its show error message
“Could not find or load main class” 😩
Why?
java isn't installed/configure properly. Check your java path if there is any space then that can be an issue use '\' before every space.
does the bin folder works with hadoop 3.3.5?
Yes, it would.
i have bug when namenode format : 2023-10-15 21:35:39,323 ERROR namenode.NameNode: Failed to start namenode. can u help me
format the namenode using hadoop namenode -format. If it still shows error then remove all content from tmp and namenode folder in local disc then format namenode again.
my localhost:9870 is not working but my localhost:8008 is working. Please assist me
Try to use localhost:50070
the bin file is damaged can u please send me the link or something for the correct file again
you can find the link of bin folder in video description
Where is bin file link
So amazing, so helpful. But... how could I run the Namenode? I don't know its localhost or port number
if you set the path correctly in windows environment and follow the instructions then just open cmd line prompt as administrator then go to Hadoop sbin path and execute start-all.cmd it'll start namenode and yarn as well. To get the localhost port number open core-site.xml

re install it then remove all the folders from your local drive and uninstall java, then follow the video again for fresh install.
did you solve it ?
@@manasvi-fl6xq I tried but not solved
Hi guys, this could be possible that some of you did face this problem ( ERROR namenode.NameNode: Failed to start namenode.
java.io.IOException: No image directories available! )
Solution:
The 3 properties which is added in (httpfs-site) file also add these 3 properties in (hdfs-site) file, this might solve that problem. It works in my case.
Thank you
You are lovely bro!
Thanks a ton! It saved a lot of my time!!
