You should name the pink pastel Albino pair Barbie & Ken. The pink male should of course be the Barbie.
Barbie and Oppenheimer

Thatâs an amazing suggestion
THIS
Absolutely agree! That's what I was thinking too, lol!
For the pair that makes Storm-Cloud hognose; you absolutely need to name them after two ingredients for storm development (huge weather nerd here!)
-CAPE (Convective Available Potential Energy)
And Helicity! (Short for Storm Relative Helicity, which is SRH!)
It just NEEDS to be something meteorology related, itâs nearly mandatory lol
O my gosh YESSSSS!
Yes soo cool!
I support this
oooooohh, seconded!! (replying to boost this bc i love it)
Agreed, boosting your comment!!
I like how snake breeding is this very communal thing, where breeders work together and promote each other, and sell or will straight up give snakes to other breeders so more can be bred. I guess it's a niche enough field where there are more people wanting snakes than selling snakes, and everyone's sharing a love (/obsessionđ ) for reptiles, so everyone's able to be friends, and I love itâ€
This is why I love going to reptile shows. As soon as you walk in, youâre best buds with everyone in there. So many fun conversations with vendors. The best part is, sometimes vendors will give you discounts solely for talking to them. I got a discount on my gargoyle gecko and free dairy cow isopods that way lol
On social media, and big shows like NARBC, yes. There's definitely that sense of community.
But when it comes to smaller local shows within a state, it's more like gangland turf warfare. đ Different breeders can be judgy if they know you bought from another breeder they don't like, and then you have the audacity to come check out your snakes.
Or, breeders will get offended if one is under-cutting the price of something that they also have. Like if 2 breeders are selling sulcattas, and 1 has babies marked at $80 and the other has them marked for $50. The breeder with the $80 sulcattas will be pissed that the other breeder is under-valuing the sulcattas, and making it so customers will more likely choose the cheaper babies other theirs.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There is so much drama and in-fighting between local breeders and show-runners than breeders from across the country.
@@nataliesreptiles I can attest to this...I attended a local reptile convention here in Colorado and though folks were friendly, it didn't necessarily seem like my bro & I were welcome...even when I bought dwarf isopods & springtails I still didn't feel like I was valued or that anyone even cared that I was there
I'm disappointed in Ed & Emily for saying they need names for _all_ their new adoptions, when _OBVIOUSLY_ the lightning rat snakes are Pikachu and Raichu.
Man, I canNOT wait to see the box of chocolates that are gonna be the hatching videos for all these projects in 3 or so years.
Yeah Iâm thinking about the very entertaining videos that will result. Who doesnât want to see what colors will come out!
rofl, imagine in 30 years,
leopard banana clown is such a funny name for a morph đ
I feel like that's not the name of amor its description of a snake that has three morphs
What is the clown trait
@@MsAlexM888 It's a "funny-looking" trait in which the snake has a dark dorsal stripe and an overly busy head pattern. The main thing is the exaggerated dark dorsal stripe.
So... considering it's name... is it a food, a predator or a yellow laughing cat?
Leopard is a pattern gene that breaks up the alien heads and eyes creating a leopard esque effect. This gene is co dominant
Clown is a recessive gene it lessens the pattern
Banana is a weird one because it kind of has the effect of albino except its co dominant making it a pretty cheap morph it does add some pattern and change up the color though.
For those getting into ball pythons though yes bananas are pretty, but they are relatively cheap and so not the best investment unlike the sunsets, puzzles, black heads, yellow belly, dreamcicles. There are sooo many morphs for ball pythons I haven't scratched the half of it, so if they are trying to Crack into that market they need to narrow focus and be picky. Unlike hognose morphs for balls are wide and not all of them work well together.
I studied ball pythons for years and had 5 (I was working on breaking into the urban camo project prior to life implications it was going to be a full on business).
I think Hades and Persephone would be good names for the AX Conda and Albino Conda pair since theyâre such contrasts to each other. Loving all the new snakes and excited for all your future breeding projects! đ„°
yess!!!!!!!!!! Greek mythology nerd here
Name Ideas!!!
Lemonghost: For a calmer hog, name them Bumblebee. For a more feisty one, name them Wasp!
Red Albino: Name her Canyon or Grand Canyon, cause her color reminds me of the Grand Canyon!
I looove the Canyon and Bumblebee/Wasp ideas!!
I really like the axanthic hognose. His greyscale coloring is so different. I think he should be called Gandalf (aka The Grey)! đđđ
I mean it's more appropriate than indoor outdoor cat naming their female gandalf
Gandalf is an awesome name for him. ^.^
He is stunning đ€©
Love this suggestion!
@@SsAnime1988 her the pink one is male
"We just got back 20 minutes ago." (later in the vid to Ed) "You're not wearing pants."
Ed knows where it's at, as soon as you get home, trousers come off đ€Ł.
I like 'Blood Orange' or 'Sanguine' as names for one of the red albinos :).
I like the blood orange idea
I'll never get tired of your "commercial" in the beginning.
Makes me laugh every time.đ
22:15 âI donât want him to get too close cause youâre not wearing pantsâ đ
Mudbath is stunning!!! I think he is my new favorite hognose morph! Can't wait to see him as he grows!
Same here! I'm kind of wondering what his pretty color would add when mixed with a lavender.
@kaylakuykendall4393 that would definitely be an interesting mix!
I think they need to name one Hogwash since one is named Mudbath đ
Mine too. I actually bought a pair toxic supercondas like a month ago.
And my female is also a 'mudbather' đ
Agreed, he was my favorite pickup as well. I'm a sucker for white/gray snakes, they're just so prettyđ„°
For one of the high-red hogs, I think the name Velvet or Cherry would be adorable! All the snakes you got are so pretty, I can't wait to see how they grow up!
A velvet crush is kool-aid and gin (I'm not a big drinker but it's referenced in a song I like), might be fun to play on the red-orange (since Crush is also orange soda). Plus I just think it sounds neat/rolls off the tongue well.
Or ginger or cinnamon
Cherry!
Cherry-bomb!
I also suggested velvet for one of the red ladies xD I think I thought of velvet cheesecake đ
If you breed the sables with arctic, you can get Blucifer, too.
Iâm super excited for these breeding projects!
Love that Eds keepin up the team's morale by havin his pants off for filming! Great strategy
That red albino was hissing and puffing at the eagerly waving finger. âGet away, what ever you areâ
Literally read your comment as the snake was hissing at Emily XD
The lightning morph is so pretty! Really cool to see the baby next to an adult!
same they should be named spark and flash
The wear house merch ad is funny every time I see it. I love how Ed throws shirts at Emily and she just falls over!! đđđ
Mud bath and the gunmetal blue ones are sooooooo gorgeous! I'm curious what those two would would make together. â€â€â€
The 2 conda extreme red albino females are my favorite. I'd name them Chili & Pepper.
that's an awesome idea
@@user-vm1wu3pl2e thank you
I have no reptiles nor am I planning on getting any, let alone breed anything, but these snake genetics/breeding project videos of yours have re-awoken the genetics nerd in me. I can't wait what the next few years will bring for you and hope you'll keep sharing your adventures. Thank you for teaching me about all these amazing animals.
Iâm exactly the same, been watching Ed and Emily for years, love snakes but canât add anymore pets at this point (plus my husband would freak if I got a snakeâŠđ). I love their videos.
With all the Hogs, you guys need a Rebranding.
Snake Discovery: the Rainbow Project
18:52 she was sooo calm and interested in you when you had the deli opened! I wonder if she'll retain that really chill, sweet demeanor as she grows up. đ€ She reminds me a little of Charlotte.
I'm obsessed with Emily's Hognose ring!
Right? It's so her and I love it!!!
Coppertist...I have one and the matching earrings đ
@@Upper_echelon_exotics I have the earrings too!
I got the same one just Google it
â@Upper_echelon_exotics same I am obsessed and had to get them
Punnett squares are fun! I love that you take them home in little deli containers. Maybe some deli related names would be appropriate. Potato Salad, Schmear, Cream Cheese, Bagel, Schnitzel, etc.
Also Hoagy, Falafel, and Ham Sandwich. đ€Ł
I'm stealing these as ideas for the next snake(s) I bring home in delis đ
Mozzarella, salami and Pesto đ
Beautiful snakes, but please don't touch your face while handling them, gross.
I still find the store promo hilarious!đđđ
I started watching you guys in 2019. You went from your house to a zoo to a warehouse and now a store. I am so happy for you 2
For names, get a theme for each time you get a few at a show/surrender. Like curries, cocktails, Countries, chocolate bars, etc. Make it easier to remember where you got him/her from and you can have fun whilst picking.
I donât know if anybody has said this before but, itâs a blast to watch how excited you guys are to play with genetics and snakes. You show kids something that they would think is really cool and plus show them that science and math and beautiful snakes is a good thing. I canât wait to see what all those snakes produce. Thank you for letting us watch. You create be incredible beautiful hog nose.
Breeding plans three years from now is gonna be wild!!
Immediately thought yin and yang for the albino axanthic pair because they're opposites, but they go together. đ
One of the red females could be Annie. The toxic hog could be Britney đ€Ł The stormclouds could be cumulus and nimbus.
Watching you two talk about genetics and doing math reminds me of my shiny pokemon hunting. Always looking for *specials* while finding random natural *wild* types you just can't help but love.
Watching Emily get so excited about the new snakes and future breeding projects reminds me of how I get excited about new houseplants that I plan to propagate and give away to students at a local college.
Motley for (motley crew) Lamprey: cosplaying as a lamprey fish, and Chakra for one of the bright colored ones. Kodiak for one of the axanthic
So excited for the future stormclouds! Would love to eventually see a superconda stormcloud!
The stormclouds could be given actual cloud names: Cumulus, Stratus, Nimbus, Mare's Tails, Cirrus, etc. đđ
Yay! A 1am video from Snake Discovery! With new snakes!!
It's midnight where she lives, I always have to remind myself of that living in Michigan LOL 1:18 here!!
1am here too
it's only 11:18 p.m. rn loll
Haha not even 10:30 pm for me!
1:28 here
Iâm so excited for these new projects! I think the little pink guy should be called pink panther!
I watch the ad on every video JUST so I can hear Emilyâs little âAaahâ as she falls over
The markings on that female ball are absolutely stunning!
My favorite out of the bunch is the super conda toxic, it's such a pretty morph! đAnd the first name that came to mind for the pink pastel albino boy was Pink Panther.
I adore that silver axanthic! It's my favorite morph, something about grays is just so pretty to me, but he's an amazing speciman of that gene! Someone in the comments suggested Gandalf, I second that!
the stormcloud babies could be types of clouds! Cirrus, Cumulus, Stratus, or any other cloud name lol! Awesome haul, im excited to see some of these breeding projects work out!
New snakes!!!
Wow, what super fun projects a head, some beautiful danger noodles you've got.
Your ad where Emily loses the tower defense game is just so good.

@@KrowKnows I stole the idea from @AceChase99 Just love it!
My Tuesday felt slightly wrong until just now
Same!!!
I was literally waiting for their video all day
I love the Toxic morph, it's probably my favorite Hognose morph out there
I absolutely LOVE the stormcloud morph! Absolutely gorgeous! The PPAs also look so pretty!
It's midnight and I just couldn't help myself in watching another Snake Discovery videos when this one showed on my notification! This channel is the reason why my fear of snakes is totally gone!
I am not over mine yet but totally agree. Snake Discovery started me looking at snakes differently.
Same though-
Haha, yeah, for me I'd feel safer to pick up a snake, which I've never done, than to pick up a cat! (cats are cute...from a safe distance, but I want to boop a hognose)
I love hearing when breeding is done properly and health issues are bred out of them†PPAs are so beautiful. Plus eventually youll be able to have PPA Lavenders!!
That last snake needs to be named after the patron who bought it! She has a lovely name and I think its appropriate
I'm sure it's already been mentioned somewhere but I really like the edits that showcase what the morph they're talking about looks like. It may be simple on paper, but it is effective!
A super yeti would be the coolest!!!! Gonna be sitting on pins and needles till their breeding age!
As soon as I got the notification for this video, immediately rushed to this video! I love all the snakes and Iâm so glad to meet them. I love you guys and your reptiles.
I heard 'banana clown' and immediately had violent flashbacks to every cartoon slapstick 'look who's slipping on banana peels' scene I've ever seen lol.
I am so glad you got that PINK SNAKE I just need to mention!!!
The lemon ghost's pattern by her head kinda reminds me of a giraffe with the yellow, but the only giraffe I know is Melman from Madagascar, so maybe Melvina for her so it's similar yet? đ
I had an Aunt named MelvinaâŠ
The giraffeâs name is Melman, not Melvin.
@@patriciaaturner289 Oh well, Melvina sounds better anyway. đ€Ł
Melwoman lol
@@maunomato Beautiful, I love it lmao
I absolutely love watching your videos... if my hubby wasn't afraid of snakes, I'd definitely have some. My favorite from this selection is the Pink pastel hognose. I think you should name him the Pink Panther đ
The fifth generation red conda female that was high contrast and het for snow was by far my favorite on first watching this but there was so many I'm going to have to watch the whole thing again to be totally sure LOL
EDIT: Oh almost forgot "Mudbath"...beautiful.
Ok the wear house commercial thing kills me every time. Watching Emily go down when Ed hucks like 10 pounds of shirts at her faceđ
Thank you Emily and Ed, I always look forward to your new additions. Glad it was a successful trip.
Hognoses!!!!!!!!!!đđđđđđđđđđ Can't wait to see the future babies from these absolutely beautiful snakes!!!! The pink hognose should be Bubblegum!!!
Just want to say that I love watching your videos. I learn so much watching them. I would love snakes or tarantulas but, I do not want to risk my cats attacking them or being attacked by them. So, I live vicariously through your channel. Your enthusiasm for your "job" is why you are so interesting to watch. Keep on keeping on and I will continue to watch and enjoy and learn. đâ€
I was at JMGs table when Ed came over looking at the hognose. Then Emily joined him. Had a fast chat. Great video guys.
You should have titled this - 20 Hognose and a couple of others
You can never have enough hogs.
Im getting a lavender het albino soon and am very exited.
Also for names, Iâm not great with them but I guess hereâs some I thought of on the spotâŠ
-Quarry (since hogs like to dig)
-Weather Forecast (for one of the het stormclouds, since they arenât the storm, but they are what will make the storm đ )
-Reef, for one of the het corals since the name of the morph
-Spirit, Afterlife, or something like that with it being a Lemon âGhostâ
-Snowboard, Ski Pole, Frostbite, Black Diamond (as in ski and snowboard run difficulty), Snowplow, Snowed In, just some silly names for the het snows
- âSharkâ is kinda cute for a sassy one maybe
- Vivir, which is Spanish meaning âliveâ or âto liveâ
Would love to see an update on the names you guys choose! Always love hearing what you name new snakes.
I don't think I've been as excited for future projects than I have been for the pink pastels and stormclouds - they're both really pretty!!
Omg Mudbath is so beautiful! He looks like he's made of matte finish silver!
Not me being up at 1am and your video just posting â€đ
ooh snake discovery *At Night*
For those who are wondering, "het" means "heterozygous". When a gene has two different alleles from mom and dad. Different than "homozygous", meaning that the alleles of a gene given by the mom and the dad are the same.
So awesome to see all the new projects you guys are tackling and so glad to be a part of the journey!
Oh! Also, the best way to tell if a conda is just a conda or a superconda when they have the stripe is to actually check their sides. High expression supercondas will often have the smallest, faintest pattern somewhere on the side of their body (we once had one with a small faded freckle near her tail). If they don't, extremely likely to be a superconda, but if you find so much as a little freckle, it's probably a very high expression conda!
It turns out that the stripe itself is a polygenic trait :)
Hope that helps!
Just watched the Tinley video!!!! Also for the first hognose you should name Hi-C
I donât even wanna know how much they spent on 20+ snakes đł lol but Iâm sooo excited to see the results of the pairs in a few years from now. Will be patiently waiting đđ đ€đ
