Kid Cable reason for bringing Cyclops basically said what thousands of X-Men fans have said. The way he died was so terrible.

Agreed. Cyclops slowly became my favourite character, beginning in Morrison's New X-Men until his death. His hyper pragmatism made perfect sense to me.
Without Scott Summers there would be no Cable, and that would suck.

But that was Hulk and Thanos. The only thing that could make Rob more excited would be the Collector forcing Thanos, Hulk, Doom, Legion, Thor, Loki, Ultron and Apocalypse fight it out in a space arena brawl with the heroes taking bets. He just wants to see topdog.
Not gonna lie, having old school Scott back is kinda awesome. I liked Militia Scott, but the morale compass version will always be my fave.
What makes it better is he has all the memories of what he did which makes cyke better as a person because he has gone both way the charles and the magnito way he has a clear vision now on both ways , if the writers are smart they can make very good stories with him
X-Men 394 is my favourite comic ever made. Scott's version from that issue is IMO the best incarnation. He's badass, emotional and a great leader. He has the militaristic quality that they went and ran off with from 2015 onwards, but it's tempered by his moral compass and strategic acumen. In this issue he's way out of balance because of really cool events as well, so there's this great tension and he meets it head-on. They also touch on the fact, at least superficially, that Cyclops isn't just a mutant Cap, and he questions why he does what he does and what it means to continue to do this in the face of human persecution. It's great. Even the costumes they wear, or at least the way they're drawn in that issue look amazing and would translate well onto the big screen. I'm a Wolvy guy but always had a respect for Cyclops as X-Men is my favourite comic and he is the undeniable leader of that team, both past, present and future. What Marvel has done to X-Men for the past eight years has been absolutely inexcusable. The Inhumans are garbage. They're garbage's garbage. They tried and failed to make them relevant. X-Men, Spidey and the Avengers ARE Marvel, they should pay respect to their chief players, especially in the comics. Screwed up canon aside, Marvel needs to rein in these maverick writers that take huge risks with the X-Men license. I really hope the MCU X-Men movies take a more mature tone and strike a balance between mature themes and direction, and the brand Marvel style we are used to a la Ironman/Avengers.
On a side note, Warp Savant from this issue is a really cool one-off villain (/antagonist) that I would like to see come back in the comics, even make an appearance one day in the MCU as a minor villain in a X-Men movie.

Out of the big 3 recent X-men resurrections, Cyclop's was the coolest and made the most sense. As far as comic book mumbo jumbo goes. LOL

Theyve wasted the character of cyclops in my opinion. There should be an arc in wich he becomes the avatar of whatever being rules the dimension he siphons the kinetic energy for his eye blasts from. I wanna see him opening multiple portals around enemies with blast coming out of all of them, him controlling trajection of the blasts, opening globe type portals around enemies that puts them in a bubble, crushing them in pure kinetic energy, I wanna see massive planet busting eye blasts, needle sized blasts dissecting enemies. The skies the limit, massive kinetic field shields, I could do this all day.

"I was wrong" No you weren't Scott. Cyclops was Right. The mutant species is always under threat of extinction from all kinds of threats. From what I saw, Cyclops only real goal was to protect mutants when they were under threat. He never "put mutants above humans" per se, he merely sought to restore mutants. But I get it, in order to return to the status quo you have to make a rejection of the changes but.... Cyclops was right.

There have been only a few comics that made me cry and this... is one of them, I really enjoy this comic and feel the same way as kid cable. Cyclops is a very important character for the X-men, he is the hope to make Xavier dream come true. A dream that can never become, but both Xavier and Magneto sees that Cyclops CAN truly make it into reality. Sometimes you don't have to be the most powerful being to be the best mutant and most important morally if his actions were ever wrong then that makes him even more human. We are not perfect and neither is Cyclops, but even so, he is always one step closer to do what's right for his X-men, I only hope there are more stories for Cyclops and not just this one run. People need to see more Cyclops to truly understand his character and why he is so awesome.

@@NCMonefaith The movie went with what's popular and not with the lore, that's why the movies are a joke and make him into a background character with a few lines. Ironically this is the image many non X-Men fans sees Cyclops has, and that he was "hitler" in post AvX. Is sad really, which is why I want more stories about him so that people can truly understand him. Maybe if the MCU can go with the lore and not the same Wolverine route then things might be different for the X-men movies. Right now when someone things of the X-men they thing of Wolverine, everyone else is an after though... even Storm. This is really why the focus on what's popular will let you into failure as a movie adaptation, simply put a Star wars movie that only focus on Han Solo and everyone else is a background character, you will see Luke as a joke just like Cyclops looks in the movies.

Wolverine and Cyclops have always been my two top favourite characters in Marvel. Heck, they'd be both number one on my list because I refuse to have one without the other.
So the real cool thing for me is that Wolverine and Cyclops were resurrected at roughly the same time. Once I found out about that, first thing I did after work that day was go to my comic book store and spend up like crazy. Cyclops' return was pretty damn sweet!
Definitely liking this story. Hope you or Benny cover Haden Blackman or John Ostrander's Star Wars comics from Dark Horse. Easily up there with the best of Marvel and DC.

I think it was in Astonishin X-men, where Emma Frost describes Cyclops's ability to see all possibilities at once an strategize accordingly. And that it was titilating to telepaths. There lies his true power. Similar to Captain America he can trick shot - Ricochett his eyebeams like CA's shield.

In the original Xforce Scott abandoned Nathan for the X-men. I loved this comic so much because it showed how Scott has grown as a person, and how he has faith that the X-men will be fine without him, and he has other responsibilities. I think that Cables test was perfect, and that this completed a loop that has taken waaaay too long to finish. Now for him to make things right with Maddy haha.

I am okay with Kid Cable being emotional about the whole thing and bringing Cyke back cause no matter how you look at it he's just a kid and that's exactly how a kid would react no matter how stoic, cynical, or cold that kid tries to be. No kid wants to see their dad die just like that and if that kid could fix that, they would.

So many beads, so many pouches, Kid Cable is out of control!
Runs to comic shop to buy this issue. Which to me, is more than just a story, but is about all kinds of healing and reclaiming identity.
This isn't rally status quo, because Cyclops admits he was wrong, which shows something rare in comics: character growth. These experiences will shape how Cyclops goes throughout the world now, and there can be plenty of good stories coming from this.
Cant wait to see Cyclops in MCU.

Fuuuuuuuck yes! I love what they've done with Cyclops in the last several years (minus the last two). This is the first step in revitalizing the X-Men. We built up several background characters to star status. I'm excited to see what can happen now that we're bringing back the "X-Men". His path for trust will not be an easy one. Also does anyone else feel like Hank McCoy is really getting away with murder? Maybe I'm not up on what's going on with him but it seems like he's the biggest cause to most of these issues and not having to deal with personal consequences.
What ended up happening in to the time displaced X-Men? It's been a while and I wonder what they are doing to them before they eventually bring back the OG Team.
