Hannah Waddingham this year has starred in the final season of 'Ted Lasso', hosted the Olivier Awards, became a national treasure hosting (and speaking French!) Eurovision and now as she has her own Christmas TV special, 'Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas' on AppleTV+ Hannah joins my podcast, 'Reign with Josh Smith' to talk about dealing with rejection whilst treading the boards on the West End and Broadway and why she is, "choosing to be single," after years, "dimming her light" because of negative men! In this Hannah Waddingham interview, Hannah takes us back to the beginning of her career journey which saw her star on the West End and Broadway in the likes of 'Spamalot' and opens up about the rejections and no's she faced on her way to cracking Hollywood in ‘Ted Lasso’ after an iconic stint in ‘Game of Thrones’, too.
Hannah also opens up about the lasting impact 'Ted Lasso' and Jason Sudeikis have had on her life, and how the show was created by feminists who made herself and Juno Temple feel nothing but equal. But what I love most about this chat is Hannah’s words on choosing to be single, why she only needs her girls and her gay right now, finding positivity in life even when it’s tough and never letting anyone dim her light again after men dimming her light in her 20s and 30s.
