I was thinking the very same thing. I’m heavily invested in team red, but their lack of a track saw, & a laser level, has me asking myself what’s the next best option without investing too much in another battery platform.
I have makita tools too, their numbers are increasing because I've had some issues with dewalt tools. Love this laser but not sure if I want to buy back into dewalt? ( example My 20 year old 24v sds plus is still rocking! But new tools are jamming on switch gear, burning out or peeing grease after some gentle abuse) Don't make them like they used to 😔
It’s just a matter of time before I justify a purchase like this. These devices improve productivity so much. It’s not a matter of whether you need it but if it would improve productivity
Possible to mount magnets to the mounting bracket so this can be stuck to beams up higher that what the tripod is capable? Dont want to mess with any of the electronics if they are unshielded.
Is it possible to set i.e. a 2° Slope by typing the value in via Tool Connect? Or at least a mode where it shows the programmed slope as a numerical value? Or do I have to "click" it to the desired slope like on the laser unit itself and then check with grade rod. A directly typed in slope would be much more convenient as to click it to the desired slope (counting the clicks) and then double check with a grade rod that all clicks have been accepted...
Sorry that my sound like a silly question but can this tool provides also the same functions as the DeWalt DCE089D1G 3 Beam 3 Way Self Levelling Multi Line Laser Line Green?
Anyone know if another manufacturers laser line detector is compatible with this laser? I have it but find the laser is hard to pick up and slow to respond outdoors
I dunno Rob. I think I’m gonna need you to box that puppy up and send it my way so I can confirm the accuracy of this review. If possible I’d like it to arrive by Monday 4/1.
@ 100ft the laser will provide a line which is accurate to within 1/16th of one inch @ 200ft the laser will provide a line which is accurate to within 1/8th of one inch @ 300ft the laser will provide a line which is accurate to within 3/16 of one inch @ 400ft the laser will provide a line which is accurate to within 1/4 of one inch
I install Garage doors mostly, but do some windows and doors, trim, and tile but have been considering getting a Laser level. But this may be way to big for what I need. Lol
Bought this after watching this review. The receiver is a big disappointment. I’m not shopping for another green rotary laser receiver that is compatible. The DEWALT receiver is weak. It’s hard to pick up the laser. I’ve used many different models and have another brand and I don’t have this issue with other brands I’ve used and have
I wonder if seeing DeWalt running their lasers now on the 20V platform will stop their wishful thinking that DeWalt is going to jump back into the 12v game with brushless tools?🤔
@@joeframer9642 No they're not unless they're selling them out of like a van with smoke signals. They are not available at Amazon UK, amazon.co.uk. They are not available at Amazon Germany, amazon.de. They're not available at screwfix. I just checked both under 10.8 nominal voltage and 12 volt maximum voltage.
@Joe Framer You were right (not about them being available in Europe though), and I apologize. Announced today Dewalt Xtreme subcompact series of tools 12V brushless.
I need to build a 2000feet water channel and I need it as perfect as possible 1/16 Accuracy for 100 feet, what does that mean for 2000 feet? Can someone explain?
Sweet! Another thing I dont need but totally want! Great video!
Great review again. Been thinking about a laser level for a while, now I realise that I need one of these bad boys and really want one! Thanks again.
How Milwaukee hasn't jumped on this train yet is minblowing

Improving productivity is what I'm always thinking about as well, I like it!

You should do a review side by side with the Hilty Pm40
Pretty bad ass laser that is for sure!
Can you use the remote to move the laser line to a mark for setting out studs?
Price?
I wonder if he is getting paid to endorse this product, its such a raving review, i am sceptical
