How? Neither of them know this, nor would they understand english even if you directly told them. There might be "some" relevance if both recognize their parents and see the parents accepting both similarly, but even then what difference does it make in their lives together? I mean besides eventually needing to keep them apart of either is not spayed or neutered. It would be different if they had been from same litter, grown up together long enough to recognize each other later, but in this case, it's just another puppy.

Ridiculous. The puppy was obviously bathed and this scent is not determined to be unique by a dog that has known no other, and yet the puppy is another with its own scent. It makes no difference at all that it is a full sibling if not from same litter kept together long enough that they'd recognize each other later.

Actually, that's not true. There are lots of animals that are fine with being alone like dogs. It's fun if they have a buddy but not needed. Also there are animals that are solitary like hamsters and male mice. They will kill another of their kind.

Donna Mcguinness I disagree completely. I install doors for a living, and meet many dogs. Hands down THE sketchiest, most aggressive, ill mannered breed of dog I’ve come across in the last 20 years. No doubt due to over/in breeding. And certainly some poor socializing by the humans. My first dog was a Golden when I was 5 back in ‘76. Nothing like the breed of today.

They were all reintroduced as adults, and they recognized each other immediately. For the big finale, their mother was brought out and they all recognized each other. Not staged, all real.

It helps that they are full siblings. Don't know how a cat would react to a full sibling kitten being brought into the home.
Not well unless they came home together they would have no way of knowing they were siblings after spending so much time apart they wouldnt be able to recognize the scent or associate it to their mother or being siblings
Indeed - super friendly therefore super easy. Takes like an hour or less for two dogs to become friends. I don't understand why introducing a cat to another takes much longer.
I've spent 10 days introducing cats before.

Usually when puppies come home they're so nervous and barely move. I think having another dog really comforts them.
Sometimes it doesn't even have to be s real dog. One of the first things my dog did when we brought her home as a puppy was to go straight to a life-sized border collie cuddly toy we have and snuggled straight in and went to sleep. We even had to fit it in her crate at night otherwise she wouldn't go in!

It's the cutest of them all. My dog does that everytime I tease her with a snack behind my back and she's trying to guess what I'm hiding. And when I make noises to play with her when I'm bored she will tilt her head to the side like a cartoon. Dogs are worth every micro second of your time. And more.
Boomer smelled another dog but couldn't make it out. He was so happy he finally had proper company. Dogs love us humans. But it's not the same.

Sup Bro it’s actually the smart and humane thing to do. Shelters already can’t keep all their dogs, so it prevents accidental litters and more euthanasia from dogs that don’t get adopted after a certain point. Gives other guys a chance at finding a home
Sup Bro also testicular cancer (which is common in male dogs) completely gets thrown out the window, and it greatly reduces chance of prostate disease (also common in male dogs), with age those two things won’t be able to attack your male doggo as he grows into an adult 🐶
