Space Cases was a good show! It was about a group of teens and their adult senior officers transported to an unknown region of space. It aired on ABC and it was created by Peter David and Bill Mumy (Will Robinson on Lost in Space).

Nice haul! I found in my local comic shops dollar bins an awesome stack of 20 $1 DC comics I now get the joy of digging through dollar bins
You definitely get it. The joy of the dollar bin is not that you are buying books that are worth $1, but its the hunt to find things that are rare or would cost you $5 or more to buy online or things you can sell for $10-$20 or more to pay for the ones you keep etc. Its affordable and you can spend hours finding joy doing it.
I loved seeing all the Archies and similar teen titles, Awesome Bernie Wrightson books too 😁

Not easy, for every dollar spent I have to find something to sell to cover it so its all part of the same wheel. Just like a carpenter buys a lot of timber to build a house. But what you do see is my grinding hard for comics.

Wow! The guy had them priced over 7k and you got them for just over 2k? How is that possible, unless he was really looking to rip some unsuspecting buyer off. Good thing you know what you're doing.
Its more like hes making a quick crazy estimate of the value, the first time you experience feels extreme but he always settles at a decent price. But it is a dance everytime I buy lol

Can’t find any prices on the sugar and spike comics
Because they are rare, I dont think there is any 1 specific book that is key other then #1 so I mostly determine the prices by what other issues have sold for around the number so If I want to estimate the value of #18 lets say but cant find a sale then I see if a 15-17 or 19-22 or so sold and how much that sold for in condition.
Here is a #15 that sold on ebay at auction in similar 4.0 or so condition to a lot of the books I bought www.ebay.com/itm/386907923975
2.0 to 2.5 so lowish grade copy of #31 www.ebay.com/itm/115501901547 The one I bought was better. Looks like it does get a premium because of the Halloween theme.

The smell brings down the grade?
Yes. If it has a bad smell it will downgrade the book, it can bring it down a lot.
You might know this already but storing the comic in a bag with some baking soda can really work well eliminating even very strong odors!
