First of all I hope you had a Merry Christmas. I've been watching your show for about 6 months and it's always extremely entertaining. The amount of time and effort and money that you put into your collection is amazing. The kind of books you show are far out of my reach. It's been a pleasure watching.

Great books, I am about done collecting comics after 15 years and just looking for a few books Wolverine Origins #10,Primer#2,TMNT#1, Hulk#181,X-Men#1, Amazing Fantasy#15 and Batman#1 1940 and then my collection is complete.
Those are all really big grail books. I want them too, not 100% sure I will be able to pick them all up haha. I love all eras of comics so as long as new comics are being made I will probably never be done.

I love Golden Age books the best - My favorite 2 books were Dollman #40 with Doll-Girl 🥰 in red on the cover and the Schomburg Crossword Puzzle book. Great video. 🤖

My goodness what a top 50 (60+). I bet you had a great time going through the books and making this list. I've had a beat up copy of Daredevil #1 and I do regretting parting with it several years ago, but such is the life of a comic book collector. Looking forward to 2024 and more videos from you Sean!
It was really fun sorting through everything and trying to find my top books of the year, I bet I missed some too. I think 2024 is going to be a blast.
Amazing pickups! 🔥🔥🔥 FF49 and Daredevil 1 were my goals - got the first, still trying to get Daredevil! Congrats and good hunting in the new year!
Both of those were really high on my want list for 2023. I need to make my 2024 list now.
Love that house of secrets 92. That’s a great looking 7.5.
I have wanted it for so long but just could not pull the trigger on the more affordable grades because there is so much black it always shows the scuffs and the spine just show every tic like mad. Only downside on this one is its a bit too tanned for my taste normally, but you don't really see it that much on a mostly black cover so I am thrilled to have it. If the markets really crash I would love to grab another higher grade copy for cheap, but if they stay stable and start climbing again I am thrilled to have this one.
God, I love that issue of Military Comics. I’m really focusing on getting more Golden Age comics for 2024 since I got some extra Magazine/Golden Age acid free boxes this Christmas from Bags Unlimited.
Yeah the Milatary books were amazing, I picked up a ton in 2023 and want to really focus a lot more on it in 2024. And Golden Age books are pretty rare so it makes them a ton more fun to collect for me. Good luck I hope you find some great issues in 2024.

The Crossword book seems to be really rare..I found listings for similar ones at $900+. The Detective Chimp is probably 0.5 to 1.0, but still work about $300. You did really well this year. Happy New Year!!!

That Blue Beetle 10 is the best looking comic of the lot. Perfect patina and chipping. Like fine wine.

Excellent countdown. My favorite is easily that Four Color #308. Love the story that cover tells and so many rich colors on it. It just caught my eye immediately. I'm looking for a higher copy myself. When it comes to these Golden Age Duck Books, finding them in general is worth it because of the Barks Stories are some of the best out there, but in a higher grade? Those are rare and treasures in my books.
Oh Yeah that #308 is such a lovely cover, and finding it in high grade just lets the colors pop. I love it so much. I lucked out and bought a short box of golden age Disney books at the last Big Apple Con for a great price. I love picking them up when I can find them for a deal.

ff 49, marvel spotlight 2,
xmen 58?, 50, and 130,....
but my vote for coolest adds to the pc here are:
1-blue beetle 10-....... as adm. farragut said,.../damn the condition, full speed ahead! awesome.
2-gangsters cant win (the convertible cover), almost looks like baker at first, but i dont think it is,....killer.
3-tales of suspense 30 roller coaster cover,.....

Making comic videos is my favorite thing to do so there will be a lot more in 2024 for sure. I really want to try to do them more often this year.

Not that Spider-Man is not awesome, but every vendor has it for sale so it gets very repetitive to me.
@@pop-comics Oh yes, Spider-Man is definitely awesome. I never had the sense that you don't think so. I love ASM, and collected all things Spidey back in the 70s. But there's so much more to enjoy. I particularly like seeing the underground comics, as I collected Fat Freddy's Cat and the Fabulous Furry Freak Bros. in the 70s too. Even with Spider-Man, it's more fun to see him in Marvel Team-Up (still a very underrated title).

Rex and Blue Beetle book is a 1.0 max with a full spine split. Depending on how much more of the paper is missing from chipping and tears, could be a .5 book, but they look like 1.0 to me with a fully split spine.
No chipping or missing chunks inside, the back cover is a little better then the front cover when it comes to the missing chunk of the side. Was not 100% sure if it would jump out of a .5 since nothing major is missing, just not sure how much of the spine can be missing before its incomplete .5 etc.
That Detective Chimp is my grail lol. Any grade of that book is a good book lol.

I'm still completely clueless about Spider-man 300 being such an expensive comic book, when there were so many printed back then... 450k printed... they should be ten bucks each, mid grade...
it's yet another reason I'm so proud NOT to collect keys, but simply cheap and cool comics at a reasonable price.
Its an amazing cover, 1st full appearance of a major character. Its the demand that makes it worth money not the supply in this case. But also just old enough that they were not all kept in bags and boards so a much smaller percentage of the print run is in high grade.
Its funny one person left a message that they only collect key issues the other day. Great thing about comics is there is no wrong way to collect them.
It's the tesla stock of comics. I want one personally, it's my kids and my favorite. I collect all things Symbiote.
Do you slab your comic's or do you just buy them already slabbed. If you do slab, would you have your comic pressed and cleaned?
I have not slabbed a book, if I was I would get them pressed and cleaned but only if its a book of pretty decent value. If its a cheap book I probably would not pay to slab it in the first place.

Right now I mostly read Manga not so much US comics. I really enjoyed the first volume of Beserk, I need to read the rest.
