Kunal Kapur is an Indian celebrity chef and restaurateur, best known as the host and judge of the TV series MasterChef India Season 1, 2 and 3 aired on Star Plus and Junior Masterchef India Season 1. He was born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family in 18 September, 1979.
He began his cooking lessons from his father and grandfather and nurtured this love to become one of the finest chefs not just in India but across the globe.
He was also awarded Sir Edmund Hillary scholarship in the field of beverage and cooking from the government of New Zealand.

Somehow I have always seen Chef Kunal as an elite and privileged. Today for the first time I could relate to him in terms of struggles, hard work, learning and evolving. Thanks Team Slow Interview for breaking the ice.
Wat struggles.his grand parents had the struggle. He is quite privileged. His dad was a banker so he must have had an upper middle class backgroung.

I remember the time when master chef was aired for the very first time on Star Plus I was in primary school and now I'm doing engineering. I watched Ranveer brar's interview and now kunal's interview the respect for chefs just grew 10 folds.

Insightful interview of Chef Kunal Kapur (frankly, hadn't heard of him before) by Mr. Neelesh Misra. Chef Kunal is so good with words (and story-telling) and narrated his fascinating journey on becoming a master chef so well that even after 2 hours the interview seemed to end abruptly. Mr. Misra is a fine interviewer, as he is happy to let his guests do all the talking, with minimal interjections, and excellent listening skills. Kudos to TSI team too 👏

being a chef this is so satisfying to hear the each stage of chef's journey i could relate a bit of his journey i was also not so good at mathematics n many things are there in my life which relates the same as chef kunal's life,i was following him since i joined hotel management before coming to this profession i used to watch his videos on youtube n i always used to get inspired by his journey how he started and where he is right now i did four years of hotel management from july 2018 to may 2022 now i started my first job as a chef with oberoi's group of hotels sometimes i feel so exhausted of doing long hours shifts but by watching his videos it's always very inspiring for me to get ready for next day its my dream to be a very popluar n known chef i hope soon my hardwork will pay off
