GREAT CLASSROOM. Since you will be teaching first grade next year you will probably need to purchase some beginner chapter books like the Magic tree house series and Junie B. Jones series. Love you from Houston Texas.

I love your idea for centers! So when the first rotation is done do they move their magnets to a new center?
Yes :) after 10-15 mins, we all clean up, and meet back at the Center station to pick new centers for the next rotation

I hope your are enjoying your 4th of July! :) I have a question regarding the chair pockets you purchased at the dollar tree for your students a while ago. I am thinking of purchasing some for my kindergarteners this year. But I am wondering how well they held up for your students? I'm thinking of having them put their folders in them?
I wouldn’t recommend them!
I had to replace 5 of the 18 I had out in the classroom and I only had them from Jan-may.
Even if your students just had folders in them, I think the corners of the folders would make holes through them

I loved seeing your classroom as it evolved over the year. You do find your groove after trying different things. I loved the class:) I definitely got ideas for next year. It’s crazy how much different the class changes throughout the year. My class was complete empty and towards the end of the school year it felt like a home lol :)

Do you have any suggestions for managing tattling and students not being kind to one another/arguing? I don't know what it was, but the class I had this year was so awful about those things!
What I did this year was setting very clear expectations at the beginning of the school year and making sure they knew when it was important to "tell" on someone and when it wasn't
That One Happy Classroom I taught an entire lesson on tattling vs. reporting. My students were constantly reminding me when it is ok to tell and when it isn't but they still tattled all day long 😂😣

I’ve watched the way you print the boarders and you waste so much ink! Put the colour paper or patterned paper in the paper tray and just print it out using the blank stencil. You won’t waste so much ink! Teacher tip hopefully!
These borders are blank stencils and I do print the blank stencils on colored paper 😊
These stencils I made myself after trying the other ones you’re talking about.
