The discussion was great but one thing i want to mention is that " Music is haram". There is no second opinion to it. Even i crave for it sometimes but dont listen. Jitna mrzi baat ko ghoomayn ya apni pasand ky points dhoondyn,at the end it is haram. Its also scientifically proven how music harms over thought. Even music industry is one of biggest worker of Matrix and satanism. Why is that then?
I request Erum to have discussion with Sahil adeem on two topics in next session. 1-Music 2- Pardah
Hope you find my comment and discuss these two topics with Sahil. It would be great to hear both of you.

As a muslim when we accept Islam as our Deen, love ALLAH so much so automatically we love to live with the boundries of ALLAH ALMIGHTY. Now it could be anything related to Proffession limitation, dressing Pardah, music e.t.c. Need to understand it ! There is nothing grey in Islam.!.

One thing i feel is too hypocritical in this that eram saeed is bringing up a certain psycology that you can love islam and dilberately not follow islam at the same time it's okay which is not okay.
I mean the way they refer to music and hijab trying to say its not necesassary is too much of hipocrisy. Cause when you love someone you do everything for them how come you claim to love Allah and still not follow what he says?

To people commenting about her profession, Islamic rules and haram music, please let people find solace in their connection with Allah and let them be whoever they are. By being judgmental of people, you are just pushing people away from both Allah and Islam. Trust me this judgmental attitude does not do people any good, except you feeling yourself to be on a higher moral ground than others by following a certain set of rules (check "religious narcissism" for the context).
Also Allah is all accepting and all forgiving. We humans make errors and mistakes, an still hold others accountable as if we were perfect. But Allah is perfect and yet is so accepting and forgiving. There is already a lot of pain and suffering in the world, and if people are finding their way to Allah to relieve their sufferings, please let them do it peacefully.

Here comes the requirement of concept of judgment day, when people said we are not seeing justice. Quran said there will be a day of judgment when you will see justice with your eyes. Without judgment day one can never be able to understand justice in this world. Those who have a firm believe in judgment are always happy.

I think ppl think they can talk whatever and whenever . But they don’t know that talking about religion is a huge responsibility. It requires a lot of learning, absorbing , applying to one’s self and then after years of learning ( that doesn’t apply if you read few books and took Salome courses) and applying. Unfortunately Erum it’s not impressive at all, how come you didn’t read in Quran “Come in the Islam completely”. I know it’s a journey but you can’t pick and choose. Surah Noor completely told us ( women), how to live and it’s not a grey area.

Man-made music and most musical instruments (haram because) fluctuates dopamine levels in brain and are likely to intensify depression or anxiety in the long run, just like certain drugs… natural sounds and allowed musical instrument such as duff (Halal because) does not cause psychological issues and are healthful and good for relaxation. Rhythm and sounds found in nature are associated with a decrease in the body's sympathetic response (which causes that "fight-or-flight" feeling) and an increase in parasympathetic response-the one that helps the body relax and function in normal circumstances and is sometimes referred to as the "rest-digest" response. This is what science says. Haram is Haram for a reason.

Music doesn’t give me depression. For me it’s not Haram. Making everything Haram in Islam is not a good idea. To most people music is soothing and it does not give depression. In fact instrumental music increases intellectual abilities. Of course stay away from hideous music full of swear words and of course don’t indulge in it too much. Don’t ignore what is Fard in Islam. Depression is caused by so many other factors. Stop blaming music. Most important is to bring balance in your life. Do things in moderation. Avoid major sins. Music is Art just like paintings, pottery making, and so on. It is part of culture, connection and belonging. In fact the entire universe is a rhythmic and musical. Our heart beats, birds chirping, thunders, winds and entire nature is form of music. So Stop about what is Haram and halal. Let people intellectually decide. Don’t impose religion. God never intend to do it this way.

Sahabiyaat had highest standards , that is why they used to be clear about their decisions ..
    also ,
nature is not asking us to go low in our standards of thinking and choosing mates ..
women who choose high standards usually spend a happy and satisfied life .
Music is not haram .. absolutely true ..
it makes our standards lower , selfish because of dopamine .
    loving ourself is great !
first thing is to get our standards high ... MUHAMMAD a.s should be the alpha male for any muslim woman ..
In Pakistan , we donot follow Our alphas properly that is why women with true standards get disappointed but
even great is the approach if you love your spouse you raise his standards too .... ❤
